This is by far the best mountain biking video I've ever seen. It hits home to most mountain bikers. This is what calls most of us to mountain biking: nature, adventure, remoteness. Not racetracks and jumps. Keep more videos like these coming, Specialized, and you'll see a big response from the mountain biking public. I'm already planning my overnight wilderness adventure on my Stumpjumper FSR!
2021 and for me still the best MTB video ever. Matt inspired me to go out and enjoy mountain biking and I'm deeply grateful, I've had so much fun. All I can say is thank you
favorite video on youtube! i was planning a MTB in the forest and camp a day there in the wilderness and i stumbled upon this video that made me want to do it even more!! thats how we should live life. peace.
This is one of my favorite MTB videos(my favorite Trail Hunter)! I first watched it like 9 or 10yrs ago and i watch it at least once a yr.. Ive always dreamed of being able to do this type of ride. I wont ever be able to but its nice to dream!!
The reason this video is so great and deserves much attention, is because it stands out so much from other mountain biking videos. It's not about watching some joe shred through the forest. This video is great because it shares a story and you get to know the rider. Good job for making this video. Mountain Biking film needs a revolution and this is the right way to go.
why are people hating on this video? this is one guy, one of the sickest riders on the planet, on a two day epic ride, and was kind enough to film it for us so we can see what we're missing. i dont know how this can be anything but inspirational.
Soooooo sick, I'm envious. I like how he really captured a lot of the magic of a trip like this. Definitely my kind of video. Got to keep that spirit alive!
i tore my an acl reconstruction, i cant do much for 6 months but all i can think about is getting a mountain bike this spring, and all the adventures i will go on
I have so much respect for you, and others like you. I'm sitting here on my computer dreaming about doing this stuff, and there you are doing it. It's amazing. And it's easy to sit here and come up with reasons why I couldn't do that stuff, but that's stupid. This video is great. Inspiration to the max.
Dear sir you really inspired me with your excellent and exciting trail adventure! For me this is a grand new idea to get out into the wilderness with your trail bike! Thank you so very very much for sharing your experiences! Well done and great source of inspiration at least for me! Wishing you sir, all the very very Best both now and in future adventure and life! Charl (Sweden)
Wow, I just recently started loving mountain biking and this is probably the best video of it I ever saw. I am planning to get a 2012 Specialized Enduro Comp, hopefully it will be able to take me on some sick trips here in Portugal as well. Cheers!
as a downhiller i don't particularly like more cross country but this??? this is something else all together.... If i could i would buy a good all mountain bike right now and never look back.. You inspire me and props to you for going out and doing this... you even cut trees out of the way for the next line of riders that will come through... just thinking about the solitude and mountains and green meadow while being on a bike and fishing with the bears??? -priceless-
looking forward. save money on my enduro bike. work hard as a grinder to make my dreams come true. go away from past. start live again. noob in riding. always love to ride. plan is be one of the best. even as a 50 year old man. I will never give up. one day. one day I will make it happen.
Man, you are the one-definitely! Wish for fast shoulder recovery so we can enjoy you in more rides like this and even more crazy! Greetings and respect from Crete-Greece!
This is what I am talking about! Great job Matt! Wonderful view of real mountain cycling, and conveys the feel of the experience through great photography and editing :-)
Dude! I loved your video. I usually don't comment on vids but since I'm a biker too I cud totally feel the rush of riding those mountains! Would love to explore this terrain someday!
I'm not the biggest fan of going up hill but stuff like this is what reminds me that two wheels can give you ultimate freedom no matter where you are. That is what mtbing is about. It's not about competition or making money but rather just simple and absolute freedom--the freedom you feel when you are one with the bike and there is nothing else but the dream sensation of the moment of life. It's not something you can describe or capture but must experience and I'm running out of characters now..
Hello from Ukraine, is a beautiful movie, fell in love with a bike a year ago and now is not sweeter to him, largely due to the fact that the bike really feel the freedom and beauty of nature ... Good luck to you. PS Sorry for my English :)
i'm getting a job this summer to get an enduro expert, after that i'll save as much as i can to take a mountianbiking trip with some buddies and do this, so pumped
British Columbia, Canada. It's a trail in the South Chilcotin Mountains starting at Warner lake, reached by plane from Tyaughton Lake, and back . Definitely want to do it some day.
I finally talked my dad into doing this with me! so excited! now i just have to convince him to get a new bike. he has a like 15 y/o rockhopper. Idk if he will be able to do this kind of a ride on an old hardtail
Hello I'm glad to watch your video. We also enjoy something similar. On the bike we drove Tour De Mont Blank. Approximately 10000m vertical and 169km GPS data. It took about 3.5 days. I watched your video before the trip. :) Planning GR20 ... I wish you luck!
Great video and what an awesome experience! I do a lot of long backpacking trips and nothing beats the feeling of being out there in te wilderness. Just one thing, if I was him I would not cook so close to my campsite. Very dangerous thing to do in bear country
how many miles did you cover? and was this an exclusive mountain biking trail made for bikes or was it just a trail for hiking what not? I'd love to do something like this! great vid!
gila ahh adventure macam ni.. solo ride through the forest and what with those grizzlies!! being one with nature.. you're so awsome matt. i wish i could do the same here but our forest have lots of tigers...
