- This is a visit to our local cattle auction last Saturday. This video will give you a good idea of the Cattle Market in Rural America right now! May go up, May go down but those in the know say it will probably rise through the rest of 2023! A couple of the attendees got a little surprise! Thank you for watching! #brangus

In a way i miss working at the auction. Some days there were more sellers than buyers and other times it was so full there was no place to sit. One thing I noticed though is, even though the market hasn't changed much people are still a bit leery when it comes to bidding. None the less they sell.
Yes, most all of the cattle sold to 2 bidders...they are commercial buyers...

Looked like some nice cows and calves went through. I didn't catch why they separated the cow that tried to go over the pen?

She had a calf and they were trying to get it to the ring to sell them as a pair but when she got frisky they decided to run her out and reunite them in the back and bring them back through together.
I believe some of the people was just there to get out of the heat

You need to get a pair of overalls when you go to the auction so you fit in with the old timers. ha ha
I rue the day when those old timers aren’t with us anymore but I do have some Overalls at the ready for as soon as I need them🤣
Wow that was pretty awesome! I saw those 2 guys move as soon as she tried to jump in their lap😂! It them a little better than 2 years to get a round about finished and yours looks like about 6 to 12 months in? It's gonna be a mess for awhile to come! Hate um!
The one guy lost his Mountain Dew when she was trying to come over that fence! She was actually a nice cow but she wanted to know where her calf was so she wasn’t gonna be held until she found it! Steers, young bull calves, and heifers are way up right now! We might recoupe some of the hay cost when we sell! The Roundabout seems to just be stalled out. It has looked like this for months now...they said 2 months when they started for it to be finished! It’s the worst possible place, cattle trailers going to the auction mixed with it being the main way to get to Tenkiller Lake so you have boats and campers all traveling it at the same time! @@GilliamFarms They always over promise and under deliver on those roundabouts! Along with the Mountain Dew he probably lost his religion for a minute or two also 😆😆 That is so awesome prices are up so maybe a chance to come out a little ahead !

Our local livestock auction doesn't allow recording or pictures (peta fears). We have a TH-cam channel called Country Road Bidding, we're the only one's allowed to record. I just happen to be on my personal right now.
I can see that...I have had zero issues locally and have only had one place even kind of raise their eyebrows but that was even nothing. I will be doing further auction videos including more farm sales, commissions, livestock, and other farm stock...
When i was a kid there was a livestock market where my uncles bought and sold cows, it's closed now though. The auction area was 3x larger than this and a large Holstein one day got spooked and got a running start and jumped over into the first row. I was far enough away that i knew i wasn't in any danger, but it scared the people in the first couple of rows to death. That same cow kicked my uncle in the chest breaking a couple of ribs a day later.
Cattle can defy physics sometimes! I had a bull jump over a stock rack in the back of a pickup and land on the hood of the truck while I was driving down the highway once! Not a good day! Thanks for watching!

Cattle Auctions are pretty eye opening if you can understand what is actually happening in front of you. To make it even more confusing they sometimes switch for by weight to by the head in mid stride😳🤣 they have been building that roundabout for 7 months so far🙄
