- Julie Powell, whose attempt to cook through Julia Child's recipes became the 2009 film 'Julie & Julia' starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep, has died. She was 49 years old. Powell's husband, Eric, confirmed the news to 'The New York Times.'

My sister in law died a few weeks ago. Heart issues which developed rapidly after her jibbie jabs. She too was 49 years old. She leaves behind 3 children. Very sad

I went into cardiac arrest in 2020 two hours before my 53rd birthday. Blocked artery with a blood clot. I recognized there was an issue and immediately went to the ER. I was in cardiac arrest within 5 minutes of getting there and I was out for 5 minutes before I was revived. I like to joke that my 2020 was 5 minutes shorter than everybody else but it makes me especially sad to hear when others don't make it, especially at a relatively young age. What I do know is she is at peace now.

Cardiac arrest is not only a death cause for men, women die from it too. The youngest woman I ever saw having a heart attack was 26 year old, that was a wake up call and made me realise we have to raise awareness among women about it.

When I was in my early thirties, my doctor found out that I suffer from hereditary high blood pressure. I started on medicine straight away and dropped the birth control pills and quit smoking.
