‘Israel committing war crime after war crime in broad daylight’: Australian senator

- Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has demanded “full accountability” over the killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom in Gaza.
But Mehreen Faruqi, Deputy Leader of the Australian Greens and a senator for New South Wales told Al Jazeera the Australian government has not done enough to criticise Israel’s war on Gaza.
“Israel is committing war crime after war crime in broad daylight and is getting away with it,” she said. “Zomi was an Australian aid worker, like other aid workers, who are putting their lives on the line to feed the children that are being starved by Israel [and] are being killed,” Faruqi added.
“This is completely heartbreaking and devastating,” she continued.
Faruqi said Albanese’s statement was “the bare minimum”, and called for concrete actions such as demanding a permanent ceasefire, backing South Africa’s genocide case at the International Court of Justice, placing sanctions on the Israeli war cabinet and stopping all arms trade with Israel.
“These are things that we do when other war crimes happen,” she noted.
“Nowhere is safe in Gaza under Israel’s genocide attacks and yet and yet we have seen Western governments call Israel a friend and … continue on business as usual with Israel while these war crimes and more atrocities are going ahead.”

There was a recent vote and I'm ashamed to say that a slight majority of politicians voted against respecting the UN requests for all international countries to stop supplying military "aid" to Israel; now that a process of legally determining that Israel is committing genocide has begun.
I cannot understand the decisions of the MPs that voted to keep sending "aid". They are voting to dismiss international law - there is an international Convention on Genocide.
As I see it, all governments should be aiding and supporting MEDIATED NEGOTIATIONS, that will give Hamas (whomever is still alive??) and Palestinians the assurance that they will have safety, after the hostages are released.
That was a recent question, at the UN, which was addressed by Palestinian representatives, with the firm belief that sanctions against Israel would be legally enforcable, if they tried to keep on with their genocidal rampage, after hostages were released and the underlying causes for the resistance were addressed - that is: ending the occupation and allowing international recovery teams to aid.
IOF soldiers have 'calmly' spent days on end, laying explosives in buildings, which they then blew up. Thus, I personally find it hard to believe that the IOF can be as deeply concerned about being "attacked" by Hamas, as what the Israeli government has kept reiterating is an apparently huge, future danger.
What military aid those weapons parts are contracts from foreign countries if Australia withdrew those companies will simply cut their investment and move to another place
@@theymaycry9725 No country is supposed to supply weapons to a country that's in the process of being legally declared to be committing genocide. The UN has made a specific request - which applies to all countries, not just Australia.
What's being committed right now, should have already ENDED. I feel that mediated negotiations, including with the help of psychological guidance, should have been working to privately aid Netan yahu see that he's certainly not "saving his reputation" by holding out from ending the occupation and letting international peace keeping teams take responsibility for recovery in Gaza (and also, in West Bank, which Israel has put under military rule).
People posting and reporting, around yesterday, have described scenes of execution of patients who had been in hospital beds (who were forcibly evicted to outdoors & I have seen terrible photos at social media, of a bulldozed teenager, whose leg had been in a plaster cast), doctors (who refused to leave their patients), aid workers and people who IOF soldiers arbitrarily determine to be "Hamas". From what I recall reading, about 300 people were bulldozed into mass graves. Al Jazeera has been reporting on this and Netan yahu responded by banning Al Jazeera news from being broadcast/distributed in Israel.
Posts by people, who have been posting from Gaza when they can (some have been killed), over the last six months, completely contradict the propaganda and ludicrously (even sadistically) fictitious IOF and Israeli government reporting. IOF social media posts about Al Shifa hospital cruelly boasted that patients had been "rescued from Hanas", by the IOF - with the only evidence being photos of IOF soldiers putting wheelchairs together, in what looked like a studio set.
The claims of "fighting Hamas" look horribly thin and the evidence of genocide too easily evident, to anyone who doesn't stay 'shielded' by watching only government reporting.
Then take the government to court on charges of complicity in Genocide and War crimes. Let's stop talking and do something
