- Headed out and set up by 5 am,lovely warm morning and no one about,I was out to purely test two rods the competition surf 2024 and the new twin tip rennaisance,first cast out just doing a intro and booom into a fish,tip action was brilliant as well as the feel of the rod.competition surf a lot more power and strength and lovely to cast out .bite detection had a couple of nibbles and showed up very well,I’m a amateur angler and prove to be no different so hopefully new people to the hobby will watch and see and possible buy after my video,the video speaks for itself so check the links below blackrock is my sponsor and the other links are shops that I no supply black rock and fish zone tackle thank you for watching #fish #reviews #fishing

Nice review and glad to say I picked up the new Renaissance from Andy at Tackle 914 cheaper than the going price so even more of a bargain!! Looking forward to trying it out now.
Andy does do good deals mate ,I just bought another competition and a foosa so I will now have pairs as that’s what I like ,rennaisance twin tip is a no brainier middle section is beefed up and you can certainly feel it when casting ,tight lines buddy Christian that rod 👊👍

Fantastic what reel best pairs with these black rocks ? Which fixed spool reel would u recommend
To be honest reels are down to each persons preference ,I’ve always used shimanos.blackrock sent me a reel to try as well and to be perfectly honest was just as good but a lot cheaper price,end of day each person is different and different fishermen use what they like,many thanks for watching 👍

Certainly look a decent rod for the money shane,
That’s why I bought two to get matches pairs ,I only get one rod to try and liked them so purchased two more
