    Klaus or anyone, could you shed a little light on the rhythm. I believe the turnaround is 2 bars, right after the IV chord and right before the beginning I chord. How does the rhythm break down for the turnaround?

    • @guitarhabits
      @guitarhabits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John, indeed the turnaround is 2 bars after the IV chord. On the turnaround you could play 1 bar on E ( the I chord ) and 1 bar on B ( the V chord )

    there are some people like me who have been playing guitar for 30 years and still cant make there pinky finger strench straight up like hes finger is doing here, I can do a scale and use my pinky finger to reach across 4 frets, but I cant make my little finger go straight up, my finger wants to curl up and it makes a c shape, now I know that people will say just keep working at it and it will work, but after 30 years? I don't think so, I believe my tendions are to tight, meaning my little finger is connected to my ring finger, I have study this for years, and I believe that is the problem. But it does not stop me from playing mu guitar, and I play pretty good inspite of the fact that there are a few things that I can not do, but there is more then one way to get the job done. Just look a Django, he was one of the best jazz players in the world and he only had 2 fingers to play with, in other words he broke all the rules,

      +Frank Roegiers Not all the time....

    • @canuckteach4315
      @canuckteach4315 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frank Roegiers If you end C9-B9, it's for turnaround.. you do F9-E9 to end it (8th to 7th fret) . he does show that at 6:00.. (--:

    • @chapoyen
      @chapoyen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A turnaround ends in the V the of the Major scale (A 12 Bar blues uses I, IV, and V of the Major scale, generally) The V chord, in this case is B7 as he is playing in E. The V chord creates tension and wants to be resolved, which is why a turnaround is used to go back to the begining of the 12 bar progression. To finish the song, replace the V with the I. Try it, it just sounds right..He explains it at 5:18.

      the world has givers and takers. in this case "Guitar Habits" is a giver while Glen'ski is obviously a taker :)

    Just show it, and then do it slowly. No need for the tedious description of where each finger is going on whatever fret. If someone can play well enough to play a basic blues, they can see what you're doing.

      Hi Nick, I have to take a variety of player levels into account, but I realize it’s different for everybody. 😉👍

      Jose Gonzalez Didn't you notice the #1 in the title of the video? That usually means that there are other videos i.e #2, #3, etc.
