about the comment on Jesus using the words, "follow me," a lot when calling on his disciples, it is likely he used this exact phrase because the Rabbi's of those days would say these words when choosing students of the Torah to study under them. Back then, there were many more steps to becoming a Rabbi, or teacher, than what Jesus did when he started his ministry. But one of the things all Rabbi's did was choose a student to "follow" them and study under them, following their ministries almost to a T until the student was ready to become a teacher himself. So Jesus the Jews of those days were familiar with this phrase and it was considered a great honor to become a disciple of any Rabbi, which would help to explain why the apostles dropped everything to follow Christ before knowing that he was the Messiah.

People also forget that without that betrayal or sins would not be forgiven. I don't understand all the hate on Judas. Everything that was supposed to happen did happen. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have any hate or bad thoughts about Judas.

James the brother of Jesus would not have been his older brother. Jesus himself was conceived before Mary and Joseph were married, so he is unlikely to have had an older sibling. King James' scribes in 1611 changed the name Jacob to James - to honour their king. The new name stayed to this day. Check translations like the CJB or the TLV, etc.

How many Disciples were actually biological brothers of Jesus? Not sure … it’s in Mark or Luke … but it’s there. Other fact … Jesus’ family were members of the Essene or Nazarian sect of Jewish faith … same sect of Halal … where the Rabarian movement came from after the “Temple” was destroyed.

If the people where to be equal then why did jesus only pick 12 men for deciples an not a woman or women aswell.this says that god made man and then woman but man was most powerful but woman was also of equal in gods words.

Only the bible says anything at all about the 12 Apostles. You can also throw in the fact that only the bible mentions the 12 Disciples, and you can throw in Paul along with them. This documentary pretends they existed.

If Phillip was stoned in 80AD, he was over 100yrs old! even if he was a disciple at 16, add 80yrs and that makes him 96. All of this is fantasy...

I don't know why it's so hard for people to believe that maybe there's just elements of history that are beyond our current understanding. Just like if we were to describe an iphone to someone 400 years ago, it would sound like fantasy. Maybe there's things from the distant past that were lost to time, or purposely erased, or whatever, and since it's not things we're experiencing currently ourselves we just dismiss it as "fantasy'

If Jesus was crucified in AD 30…that’s 50 years prior to AD 80 and Jesus ministry lasted 3 years. Let’s say Phillip was 25 years old when he first followed Jesus so he would be 28 when the crucifixion happened. Add 50 years puts him at 78….not certain how you got to 100 years old…but it is incorrect.

Simon the Zealot .. Jude .. James the Less [meaning smaller in statue] .. and Yoseph .. were Apostles and the younger brothers of Jesus .. Jame was the leader after Jesus .. followed by brother Simon .. Paul and Mary Magdalene were also Apostles .. it is unlikely that any of the Apostles authored any of the four Gospels .. the "Letters" probably .. source .. careful reading of New Testament .. and .. assuming it a good source .. (:))
