Sooo a boy kicked by a horse stopped breathing. I assume there were internal injuries. From the point of not breathing and no CPR the physician was 15 miles away. This means the child was anoxic for well over 10 to 15 min which means brain death which occurs within 6 min. Dragged home (5 to 7 min) then MD drove to the house (another 5 to 10 min). Then the MD injects epinephrin into the heart? Once the child is revived, the MD gives his pediatric patient Sodium Pentathol. Seeing that the patient had an anoxic episode, internal injuries a shot or adrenaline, why would the MD give that med? That med is contraindicated with people who have myocardial depression as it's a sedative and they were just given epi. Better yet, it's not a common drug so why would the MD have it in his bag? This scenario is impossible on soo many levels. Good story though. But not a real story.
