Awesome glasses. I was a big fan of Tuna Alley, but they are no comparison to King Tide 8. I got ‘em to “test drive” and now it’s my favourite for every occasions. Absolutely lovable.
Good call on that! they are very similar. The Costa are better glass lenses and a bit heavier. The Smith are great for touring and hiking. The Costa have more curve and an even larger field of view.
Would these work as safety Eyewear? I have oakleys and for what I do I like the fact that they can't shatter and can take a hit. These look good just not sure if they would be appropriate.
@@dasword100 I wish I could 100% say these (in the poly lens) would be safety glasses, but I am not sure if they are rated as such. I could not find any info on that. Personally, I would use the poly lens for the activities that I do. I have experience with these safety glasses that are quite nice as well. More of a full wrap style shade. I use them for hiking, biking and cutting wood. UVEX Mountain Perform V - Full Coverage Category 1-3 Sunglasses th-cam.com/video/QdzZGz8Fpgo/w-d-xo.html

Heck yes! That is really great feedback. Thanks for sharing. They put a lot of greatness into the King Tide 8 for sure! Happy you are enjoying yours!
i just recieved my costa 8 , an awsome one for fishing under bright shiny day.
Very nice! Stoked for you.
These remind me of the Smith Embark shades you had reviewed a while ago. How do they compare Sean?

Hello! I would not recommend glass lenses for safety eyewear. I would find a pair of rated safety glasses, my friend.
I guess my question is do you think the plastic lense option for these glasses would be a good bet?

Maui Jim vs Costa for the title. I have no problem buying premium shades. And these 2 by far the best.
Great review but more would have been appreciated reviewing the lens colors and purpose.
Nice product
