Actually I saw him live in 79 at magic convention, and he charmed the hell out of everyone.Yes Vernon was the man,but Slydini was in his own league. My girlfriend at the time felt he was the only real magician she had ever seen.

I wouldn't worry about him. He and I have settled every thing and are now best of friends.

totally agree. This is the process, individual and reflective, by whom the artistry of magic comes from.

@kikook222 Right you are his father started him and he did it his way which was Fantastic . A good friend of mine had Lunch with Slydini every Saturday , He owned a magic store and was the President of the Society of American Magicians in the 70's . No one should Talk like him, do your own thing . He was also a tailor and made his own costumes. His tricks should not be done unless they are perfected .The first thing he taught his student's was how to walk out on Stage !

One thing you all HAVE to keep in mind is that Slydini had NO formal training growing up. He created all of his own magic! This is one of the reasons he is such an important part of magic is because he's a perfect example of making magic your own. It pisses me off to hear people want to know how this trick works..the man spent his entire life creating his art.

He is what most magicians aren't really anymore, REAL. Most magicians use gimmick cards, staged tricks, ECT... He was all skill.

There is a Book By Slydini which has the actual way of doing the trick I haven't seen it explained on DVD. I know the trick and their is a sleight which I posted , only the sleight . Can't find the post so I won't even mention the sleight it is his book sold by Penguin 366 pages with explanations of several tricks plus the double DVD buy them and you will learn all about a lot of his tricks and lots of practice . Do his tricks but no one can Do them like Him.

It's amazing how this guy actually looks a little like Quintino Marucci. He's almost as good too.

Did your grandmother ever meet Quintino Marucci?
Do you think she would have liked him if she had?

@styobysorrento What are you talking about? I totally support the art of magic. Where in my post here did I say anything bad about magic or for that matter the legends? I admire all the greats and couldn't agree with you more.

please forgive me, but i would love to know
how he did the card trick. someone mentioned
palming, but isn't he putting the selected card into the small fan?????

Does anyone know how he did the first trick with six coins?? His misdirection and skill is almost inhuman.

@eatonmagic You are so wrong on sooooooo many levels. His father was a magician, not a popular one but he was one. He urged Tony to learn sleights at an early age. Although he made his own sleights, he had very much formal training.

Who say Vernon is better than Sly the person must be a talkative just like Vernon...in otherwords you should say he's better in sleight of mouth not sleight of hand than slydini who uses nice classical music in the bacground and let the magic speak for its self
