Alicia is such a bad ass woman!!! Plays the piano, she got the pipes that blow your mind & she can act too!! And yes that was an old school radio, lol, but it's even before my time & I'm 54.
I love this song from her and the part where the background singers come in is my favorite. It's 3:44 in this video. She had that Aaliyah vibes and Aaliyah was a big time crush for me.
The first I heard this is when it first came out, video was on TV, I was walking through my living room not paying attention to anything...soon as the song came on it stopped me dead in my tracks, and i was like WHO THE FUCK IS THIS.....and I've crushed on her ever since lol
Can't believe this came out 20 years ago, almost to the day. I can still remember the first time I heard this beautiful woman singing, I went out and bought the album as soon as I could.
Nothing like 90s and early 00s women vocalists. Different vibes, different genres, different music and yet we all loved to listen to them (and we still do).
Alicia is one of the biggest multi-talented Artists out there at this time. Only gets better. By the time she retires, she will be like a Marvel Cartoon. Amazing. Thank you for the sweet messages in the video too :-)) so nice.
I was in middle school when this song first came out, and I wasn't a fan of it originally. It grew on me as I got older. It's admittedly not a song that I'll listen to every day, and I do like "If I Ain't Got You" more, but I appreciate it a lot more now.
I was hosting a Morning Show on an adult contemporary radio station when she released the single and I knew it was going to blow up the first time I heard it.
Alicia Keys still sends chills up my spine. She performed on the Billboard Awards last night, and sang that song. It's hard to believe that the song came out 20 years ago. BTW, the radio featured at the beginning is a Tivoli stereo...I have the three piece. Its compact but rivals my Bose sound system.
I was old enough to have a crush on Alicia when this song first dropped. I may not have fully understood everything then, but I did enough. It does hit a bit deeper now. I'm jealous you've been able to catch her live.
This was on repeat in my home and car for 3 years. Live on TV she sounds awesome just like George Michael, Chris Stapleton, Jennifer Hudson and a few more.
I met Alicia keys spiritual advisor in Woodstock New York once I even stayed at her huge house and spiritual retreat in Connecticut and I saw pictures of this girl and Alicia and Swiss beats and other famousl artist in nyc. I met this lady and the same day she drives me to the house in Connecticut. Then she leaves for 3 days and said I could house sit . When she got back she drove me to a music festival called gathering of the vibes and i never saw her again .
For me, and this may date myself, it was Minnie Ripperton "inside my love". I had no idea until I was an adult what that song really meant. You should check it out. Oh, and yeah that is a really radio. It's retro from the 70's and back.
You're familiar with Alicia Keys so you know that she has multiple hits. Explore her catalog, you will not be disappointed. And those eyes bruh. So much feeling in her stare. I love her.
Same, have only seen live performances on award shows. I did see an interview with her once and much like Mariah Carey and Christina Agulara they avoid foods such as dairy that can create a mucus in your throat. Also using heat and icing techniques on throat to keep vocal chords in tip top shape.
the only live performance that you can tell she's not at her 100% is this: "TH-cam Alicia Keys Grammy 2002 Performance" it was her first grammy live, and she happened to be horribly sick with the flu, she was in pain she had a fever, and sometime before her performance her throat was completely closed, so she asked her doctor to give her a shot, just to be able to go on stage and sing. in that performance you can hear her trying to be her best self, but she has some missed notes here and there. Still one of her most iconic, performances ever. Alicia has always been phenomenal.
Here are some more songs from Alicia Keys I think you should react to: Karma, You Don't know My Name, Girl on Fire, No One, My Boo with Usher, A Woman's Worth, If I Ain't Got You, and Empire State of Mind with Jay-Z.
Thanks for uploading. If you have a second, I recorded an original tune. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you'd check it out. It's on my page. Hope you enjoy!

She is really good. Her songs touch my heart.
Alicia is such a bad ass woman!!! Plays the piano, she got the pipes that blow your mind & she can act too!!

Her face and eyes express so much emotion. Beautiful.
Did anyone else feel a little depressed when James said how old he was when he first heard this song. I was an adult when it came out. LOL
After this one you need to listen to A Woman's Worth!! It is a follow up to this song!! Always look forward to your reactions!!
A woman's worth is a great song
I think she is wonderful. Love the movie "The Secret Life Of Bees".
Her performance of "If I Ain't Got You" at the Grammys is one of my favorite things.
Saw her 2004 Oakland with Missy and Beyonce (her first solo tour)...they all was amazing but Alicia gave sumn extra that night
I love this song from her and the part where the background singers come in is my favorite. It's 3:44 in this video.
She had that Aaliyah vibes and Aaliyah was a big time crush for me.
The background singers? I believe She sang all the parts.
Everything about Alicia Keys is beautiful. Her voice. Her heart. Her 🔥🤘😍
The first I heard this is when it first came out, video was on TV, I was walking through my living room not paying attention to anything...soon as the song came on it stopped me dead in my tracks, and i was like WHO THE FUCK IS THIS.....and I've crushed on her ever since lol
Yes live is lit! And she jams the piano...classically trained.
Alicia is "true talent" nuff said ❤

This song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

She is absolutely AMAZING!
Early70's retro radio
This woman sounds good every time she sings. Sounds as good live as she does recorded. Awesome talent.
I saw her live at Madison Square Garden in NYC. It was amazing. She is *that* good!
She is amazing 🎶🎶🎶😍
Alicia is one of the biggest multi-talented Artists out there at this time. Only gets better. By the time she retires, she will be like a Marvel Cartoon. Amazing. Thank you for the sweet messages in the video too :-)) so nice.
Alicia sounds just as good live as recording. It’s the same. No studio tweets. Heard her twice live.
I was in middle school when this song first came out, and I wasn't a fan of it originally. It grew on me as I got older. It's admittedly not a song that I'll listen to every day, and I do like "If I Ain't Got You" more, but I appreciate it a lot more now.
All I can say is : Swizz Beats is lucky AF
I was hosting a Morning Show on an adult contemporary radio station when she released the single and I knew it was going to blow up the first time I heard it.
Got to listen to some Alicia bruh,
An angel come to earth. Simple.
That's a radio. Its a beautiful song and lyrics.

Yo thanks for the positive comments...alot ppl. Need an Outlet
Another Goddess speaking the Truth...
She doesn't use autotune. artists who came before autotune were better and they sound great live because they sound just like their records.
I was old enough to have a crush on Alicia when this song first dropped. I may not have fully understood everything then, but I did enough. It does hit a bit deeper now. I'm jealous you've been able to catch her live.
You've gotta do "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak. He has a beautiful voice and it will blow you away!
Definitely

Yes she was on Grammys and the voice .. she’s that good live if not better !

The dairy causing mucus thing is a myth.
Awesome song !!!
