The little ‘pixels’ just bursting out in a cloud of blocky debris is probably the funniest thing I’ve seen in so long. Like a creeper exploding into little cubic bits just feels so perfectly right, like of _course_ it exploded into pixels, what else would it do? Phenomenal

That sneaky Creeper appearance gag was a _perfect_ intro. Well worth a 13 year wait!
I swear those things are more clever than Notch gave them credit for. I've had several occasions now where a Creeper will "bait" me into approaching it to attack, but just as I engage with it, a second Creeper that was hidden behind a wall or hill approaches from my left or right. It's happened so often that I've actually developed a "sense" for spotting when one is trying to "bait" me.
Gav's reaction to the Creeper is pretty much the _exact_ reaction that most _Minecraft_ players have when one of those kamikaze shrubs sneaks up on them.
And all because an error in coding that made a pig do weird things.

My favorite part of this video is that at some point in the future, some unclaimed luggage store will have a beautiful Minecraft sheep for sale.
I love how much this channel has retained it's character over the years.
It's much more complex production, but at the end of the day it's still just 2 dudes screwing around with ideas they think are funny with a really expensive camera

Hey Gav and Dan. This idea would be very hard to film but there's a strange effect when you shoot a frozen pond with a 9MM FMJ. The ice will cancel forward momentum but keep the spin. The 9mm round will spin across the ice like a top. I posted a TH-cam short on my page showing this effect but seeing it in slow mo would be a world first. I can offer my property for you guys to use, It just has to be winter!

The undamaged blocks of wood show how great timber is at resisting compression force. I had a discussion with a guy a while back about why the still make wooden pallets. He thought they should make them out of something more "hi-tech". But not only is wood inexpensive & easily worked - it can withstand crazy amounts of compression force. Look at all those film clips of massive steel ships being constructed, many thousands of tons; the ships are & still do rest on wooden blocks. would be interesting to do concussive tests on different woods sometimes. Awesome video BTW, really enjoyed it as always.
Reminds me of an assignment in shop class when I was in middle school... we had to use only three pieces of paper to make a platform that would withstand as much pressure as possible. We took one sheet, cut it into strips and rolled them as tightly as possible then taped the rolls vertically between the other two pieces of paper. Our platform didn't give at all and the pressure device reached maximum force for what it was allowed. None of the others did that well. Sure, it wasn't a pretty platform, but it was solid.

the way the overlay is added to show they're charged is technically a piece of armor. this is also used for the wither when it hits half-health and becomes impervious to projectiles

Explosions in slow motion will always be entertaining to me. Each year my company demonstrates the dangers of an "Arc Flash" event to incoming employees where a piece of copper is blown to bits in a 480v breaker cabinet. This would be awesome to watch in slow motion. I would vote to film an arc flash event to really capture the dangers of a high-voltage flash event.

its surprisingly inaccurate since minecraft creepers leave a crater after exploding. its either the creeper too weak to break terrain or minecraft dirt is very soft. awesome video :)
It would have been a perfect moment if right after Gav said 'Maybe the ones on top went furthest.' (@1:43) one of the blocks were to land on his head.

Absolutely love the content !As a keen snooker player it would be super interesting to see a video of a snooker/Pool cue tip contacting a cue ball. With a variety of cue tip hardnesses available from super soft to extremely hard, it would be interesting to study the different cue tip hardnesses and how they behave observing the cue tip contact time (depending on hardnesses), compression, the deformation of each particular tip, as well as cue shaft flex and chalk to tip adhesion/dispersion
