the casting was actually like suuuper controversial when it was announced last summer literally everyone was hating on it😭😭 but its so funny how now that the movie is out I can't imagine anyone else playing alex and henry
I watched that movie last week and was just swooning. I need to read the book. I tried to listen to the audio last year. But, I just can’t get into audio. So in the minority. Love cuddling up with a physical read.

Loved seeing you do this vid! I actually was the opposite, I decided to watch the movie first bc I couldn't decide if I'd like the book. I was so impressed with how the Kids In the White House thing was handled! I totally agree, loved that they were both 'normal kids' but also not normal, like their conversations and interests were going to be very different. And I liked that being children of the WH wasn't a burden for Alex, he's super ready to do what he can with his power/privalege and love him pointing out to the Very Traditional Older Officials the ridiculousness of super expensive traditions, like the turkey thing cause for real, no young people care about that stuff lol and loved how much Alex loves it when he realizes that even though Henry has to keep up appearances, he really hates all that tradition stuff too I was kinda proud of how much I understood politically but only cause I used to watch The West Wing...and I got the impression the author probably bingewatched the crap outta TWW while writing it lol (June reminded me a lot of the POTUS' daughter that Elizabeth Moss plays in that!)
