The storyline of Elizabeth's rape should definitely have made the list!!! Rebecca, Jonathan, and Jacie were all so brilliant, and it was told in such a real, emotional, raw way. I remember watching it, watching the bravery and courage and compassion shown and was in awe of it. I agree, the writing in the 90's was special!

Top moment of all time for me. Luke seeing Laura while standing on the balcony of the mayor’s mansion after she had gone missing. Emmy worthy performance from Tony in that scene. “Think of Laura” is playing. I cry every time.

I’ve been watching since 1979 .. and honestly they’re so many moments I can’t pick just 10 .. but the ice Princess storyline … The whole Frisco/Felicia/Shaun/Robert thing when they were seeking the Aztec treasure …and the decades Long relationship between Jason and Carly .. I was watching TODAY thinking Carly needs Jason’s shoulder to cry on ….

FYI guys - the Greystone Mansion was not the Quartermaine mansion, but was the Mayor's mansion. When Luke was mayor 2 years later and Laura came back from her kidnapping, Luke was on the balcony remembering the wedding when he saw Laura. That's "People" for you! Some big stories were surprising left out of their list - Lucky's death (Laura was epic during that time) being one of them

@allisonb8057 right? Agree with all that you listed. I think everyone was surprised that Peter made the list, even if they wanted something more recent there are so many more to choose from- metrocourt crisis, Micheal’s shooting, Morgan’s bipolar storyline and his death.

Luke and Laura was my #1 until the storyline with Stone and Robin battling AIDS. The AIDS story is the greatest, most beautifully written, most incredibly acted, and totally gut wrenching story that I have EVER seen in daytime. It was so beautifully done that it still resonates over 25 years later. Michael Sutton was robbed of the Emmy. He should've won, hands down. I will never forget it. I still watch it today on TH-cam , and it still tears my guts out. I still ball my eyes out. That is my number one.

GH was on fire around 1995 and on . In those next years it was so addictive, I would rush home from school & skip last period class to get home for 3 pm. Click boom 💥 and Jason Quartermaine turning into Jason Morgan, 🤪😍Stone & Robin💖, Brenda wearing a wire, the Sonny, Jax love triangle, Lois & Ned, Jaguar Cates & even Miguel played by Ricki Martin… man those were the best days ever!!!! Pure 🔥 fire! And Steve B. as always has AMAZING hair! 😄🙌😘

I remember watching a lot of the 90s storylines when I was a kid. I have always hoped that Jason would get his memory back. Because I love music, some of the most memorable moments were when L&B's singers were performing. The music was great. I keep telling people that General Hospital tells the most profound stories and had the greatest music.

I agree with this list, except for #10. Peter’s end was so anticlimactic. In its place I would put Britt dying in her mother Liesl’s arms. We knew Kelly Thiebaud was leaving the show, but we just thought she was going to be written off, not killed off. Britt had finally been redeemed and then she was gone. It was a gut punch and so unexpected. Kelly Thiebaud and Kathleen Gati knocked it out of the park! 17:43

Agree with the top three. Great show Five of my personal favorites are : When Spinelli meets Luke (with Tracy Q.), Anna goes drinking with Luke after discovering she's going to be a grandmother, Robin returns from the dead in time to put the kibosh on Patrick's wedding (To be on board with this premise, the acting had to be exceptional), Jason shows his sensitive side by telling Robin she's not that easy to forget, and Alan Q. marries Lucy Coe. 💞

Luke and Laura were married at the Mayor's mansion. Later when Luke became mayor, Laura was sneaking around the grounds to get a look at the new mayor (Luke) at his swearing in party. He spotted her when he was drowning his sorrows, drinking champagne on the balcony. It was a fantastic reunion !!
I could do this all day.....
The 70's, 80's, and 90's were some of the best story telling.

The Greystone mansion was used as the mayor's mansion, which is where Luke and Laura were married, not the Quatermaine's. After watch GH for 50 plus years I don't think I could ever choose just 10... all of these were great, but are they the top 10, and you want to know top 5.. I agree with the top three on the list, I would probably say 4... Sam and Sonny's baby Lila birth. 5... Alan trying to kill Monica and Rick. David Lewis was my favorite Edward, because he was the original, he and Anna Lee were truly the Quartermaine's.
