    I need to replace both quarters, trunk pan, both trunk floor extensions, and tail pannel in my cuda. Not sure what order to do it. You do great work by the way. Very informational.

      Thanks! If you take a look at some other videos on this car you can see the order I did them. Currently I am doing a 73 Challenger with a whole playlist series and I am going to cover the order stuff is done further in detail that may also help you since in general they are similar. If possible I think they way to go is put the car on some sort of frame structure or JIG and do them all at once test fitting using sheet metal screws and vise grips before you weld them up.

      I'll check out the challenger videos! I don't have a frame jig. Maybe I'll have to fab something.

      @@mb2stroke816 One more video suggestion of mine "Mounting a car to a frame JIG" might help you. The last frame JIG I bought some used I beams for pennies on the dollar if you have time to look around and I show in there the leveling system and how to JIG up a car. Might take you a full day of effort but the final product of your build will be well worth it. After that I can promise you there will be someone that would but it off you for their project.

    Great to see the structural integrity returned to factory spec and the primer protections are a wise effort. Mother Mopar never thought these cars would be around or valued 50 years later but this one will be around 50+ years from now.

    Dude I love your work and have been using it as a guide for my build on the 70 challenger. I’m at a point where I’m having to fabricate portions of the inner roof structure before getting the new skin on. No the three cross pieces, rather the parts that are directly above the door running longitudinal. The top side is rusted and largely gone. I can’t find it but are you aware of anyone making those pieces? In the mean time I’ve been just taking some 16ga steel and cutting it in 6-8” pieces, putting a 90 degree brake in it, and through the bead roller for that small offset where the drip sits. If that piece can be bought it would save a ton of time and work though! Great content as always brother!

    • @carthageclassiccars
      @carthageclassiccars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!!! As far as I know no one makes the inner structure pieces at this point in time just the outer sections and I think they only have been produced in the last year or two. I was actually in the same boat as you and was making the small patch pieces for this car also in that same area. That was why i still don't have the 3 holes for the roof bows drilled yet. Depending on how bad your car is either keep driving on with the small patches or I have had some luck reaching out to some of the Facebook e body groups and asking if someone can send you one off a donor junked car. I saw one the other day of a e body can't remember exactly what group but it was in a really bad wreck and unsalvagable and the guy was selling parts off it.
