I dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Emilio Gerardo thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I'm with you. Nothing wrong with listening blind so to speak. You get to have your own thoughts. Plenty of time after to check out what the composer, band or others think and listen again. Its win win.
As someone else has already said, this is an ode to human imagination. It's littered with literary and movie references: "something wicked this way comes" - "Macbeth" and "ape before a door" 2001: A Space Odyssey, the "Great Escape" a reference to the WWII escape of British and Commonwealth prisoners and the subsequent movie, plus the notion that imagination is the "Great Escape". All of the Alice in Wonderland references - go back an walk through it carefully - it's a loaded song. BTW, can we talk about Floor's beautiful deep voice - something we don't normally associate with sopranos. BTW 2, this is lyrically a very strong song, go through it again. The songs on this album take multiple passes to 'get'.
Nice react guys, thank you. Nice catch Wister.....Tuomas is a big Disney guy and a Poe lover. Nice finish BTS. Karen......You don't research, you will enjoy "Poet And The Pendulum" a lot more if you know what the lyrics are about ( my opinion ).
In Celtic Mythology, Tír na nÓg is depicted as an island paradise and supernatural realm of everlasting youth, beauty, health, abundance and joy. One ticket, please, one-way!... Pan was also associated with the Bacchanalian - sex, booze and music - grandpa of sex, drugs and rock-n-roll! We haven't changed that much!.... Back2School - Yes! A good drummer means you don't get lost playing! Just after the Megadeth riff, (11:17 - 2nd playthrough) Boston style chords? Pan is also the source of pan-ic and pan-demonium!
No problem boys. This is a song about unleashing the human imagination and our love of stories. All of these lyrics are references to classic human stories and games. Back2school got it towards the end. Humanity and each of us starts out as a blank canvas. Each of us writes our own story as well as all of the artistic community is busy writing stories, songs, works of art, poetry, & movies all of which fulfills the human yearning for stories.
The "pale blue theater stage" references the Pale Blue Dot, Carl Sagan and the photograph of planet Earth taken on February 14, 1990, by the Voyager 1 space probe. In 1994, Carl Sagan wrote a book called The Pale Blue Dot in which he wrote: 'Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam." This is referenced again on side 2 of the "Human :: Nature " album in a song called "Ad Astra". Nightwish also has a song called "Sagan" on the "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album... I think it was a bonus track.
Fun fact: Nightwish, especially since they have Floor, have helped me so much more to deal with my anxiety and depression on the last ten months, that my former therapist did in more than three years I went to see her, I tend listen to them when my emotions go crazy (due to a neurological condition I was born with) and they calm me down almost immediately
i think music is the best always, when can thinking own version what song telling about and maybe far more later if want, can go checking out what song was really meaning. thanx very good reaction and have great day there.
No matter what "vibe" or reference you think you got from this one, it's on point simply because of the subject of the song itself. For worldbuilders like myself, Pan is our jam.
hi guys! loved your reaction as allways...to make it short : This song is about human imagination and creativity...art...and if you want a official music video from this new album , you should react to Noice...a masterpiece of a musicvideo about the social media...please check it out, so many things to pay attention to in that video 😉
I am so happy to see you guys trying to figure out what Tuomas means with this lyrics - and you are using your imagination plus whatever you have in your baggage - and that is precisely the point. You are also carefully listening to the instruments and how they are used. You are spot on. Next time you listen, something in the song will probably give you another association - that's exactly the point. There is not only one true explanation, as you point out. The way Nightwish creates their albums are a part of this result. Tuomas sends all the others a copy of the raw lyrics with him playing the piano. Floor calls him to get his brief opinion on what and where he wants to go. Then she digest the lyrics through her mind, coloring the song, like she thinks is right, adding emotion, power, feelings and so on - from her perspective. And the others are doing the exact same coloring. Sometimes the songs change dramatically from Tuomas's original lyrics, and sometimes it does not change at all. I think it is a brilliant way of creating music, while you gets aspects in it, that you didn't imagine from the start. Great job from you guys 👍🤘🤘
Okay so, one thing about Pan that I haven't seen any comments on yet anywhere. "The ancient Greeks also considered Pan to be the god of theatrical criticism." -Wikipedia That would add a whole new layer of meaning to the whole thing. But either way I love how Wickster jumped right on the Alice and Wonderland thing, spot on bro xD if you rewatch closely and pause just right, the title of at least one of those books is extremely fairy-tale related ;)
For me it happens most of the time that for the 1st listening I don't pay much attention to the lyrics, at least the meaning, but the rhythym of the lyrics yes. And I'm not the only one, many people say the same. Maybe I have not enough brain capasity for everything, and I'm only referring to myself here. I haven't mentioned this before, but when I've been watching your reactions to this new album, I always wonder how you would have reacted had you started your journey with Nightwish listening to this album. I don't think you would have appreciated it as much as you do now. If I was to introduce Nightwish to someone I would most definitely not start with this album. When you know older Nightwish material, it is easier to relate to this new album, not necessarily easy, but easier. You had some kind of an idea what to expect and you were able to pick up some references to other music and well known stories.
"Theater of Life", well put sir. In short, this is an Ode to the storytelling (theatre, literature, movies etc.). Do the best of yourself before the better and stronger chess piece of the next generation crushes you. There are dozens of quotes from the well known (or not so well known) pieces of Art.
You 3 have a very interesting group dynamic. In this reaction you all completed each others, and the sum of your thoughts was the breakthrough. I learned something tonight from you all, thanks :)
We (The Nightwish army) are "nerds", we have seen and heard these songs so many times, and we are studying/discussions the lyrics, the video etc. etc. so its only natural that people who haven't spent as much time will miss out on some of the details...no reason to say your sorry you haven't studied the lyrics in advance, I mean for me personally I think its great so see/hear people react to the songs for the first time.
I didn't catch an Alice in Wonderland vibe, but Electric Light Orchestra hits you in the face bigger than life from 8:54 through 9:00 (on your time counter). You guys ought to be old enough to remember ELO, even though you're youngsters compared to me!! LOL
Stupid YT isn't notifying me again...refreshed page on accident while listening to something else and boom, this was top of page 23 minutes old! Ok everything stops while I watch this
This one is probably my favorite off the new album. It's good to just jam with Emppu and Kai. You've come this far without another very heavy one? Voting for Yours is an Empty Hope from Wembley. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
A lot of the phrases in the early part of the lyrics are references to works of fiction. Hard to figure out if you're not familiar with the books. The "pale blue theatre stage" refers to our planet, as per Carl Sagan's description of a photograph taken by Voyager of the distant earth as a "pale blue dot".
The guys in Nightwish were meant to play together, they compliment each other and push each other to the limits, then you add Floor and you have perfection. Theirs is a combination of energy talent and passion.
Hé Guys i have a recommendation please give your reaction at storytime from the wacken 2013. You will vind at beautiful. I like your performance. Keep on going.
#1 Take a look at the title of the album, HUMAN::NATURE, the entire cd 1 is about qualities or faults of the human side, the qualities and faults hat make us human in all aspects of our daily life. Cd 2 is about the beauty that is nature. #2 You need to listen one time just for the music, don't try to anayze the lyrics and what Tuomas has written, you will never know what goes on in his genius mind. #3 Listen to the songs and try to relate them to your experiences in life.
If you wanna do your research beforehand than do it. If you don't wanna do it than don't. Nightwish lyrics are great but the songs can be enjoyed without knowing what they are about. Either you figure it out while listening or the army will gladly tell you in the comments. I am pretty sure about that.😊 For me it's mostly the same routine: I hear a new song and enjoy the music, not being able to pay any attention to the lyrics. That comes later, if at all. Sometimes I listen to a song for years still not knowing what it's about. Could be a language thing, since English isn't my first language. But maybe I am just very bad at multitasking. 😁
If you love the drummer try Wintersun, this is Kai's previous band - Another great Finnish band Wintersun - Time th-cam.com/video/4UMwLxFNKS0/w-d-xo.html Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars th-cam.com/video/Tl5T-glTdXw/w-d-xo.html
Hey, you guys should definitely check out nightwish Harvest on their new album human nature II, awesome awesome thanks 😊🔥🔥🔥😎also Music from the same album, awesome 😎
Lyrically this song is a masterpiece, here Tuomas is both Wagner from the opera world and lyrically he is Shakespeare...can't be any better.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Cairo Mitchell instablaster =)
@Emilio Gerardo thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm.

@Emilio Gerardo It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Cairo Mitchell happy to help :)
Tir Na Nog, the Irish legend of eternal youth. Tuomas is a genius. Every member of Nightwish is a consummately professional musician.
Thank you for the reaction :-)
Tuomas Holopainen stated that "Pan is an ode to human imagination" (source: Kaaos TV interview 2020)

i love being able to make up your own mind and compare
"To there and back" The Hobbit
This song is the most Nightwish song ever 😁
This one is pretty straight forward. The power of storytelling along history to influence the mind and thoughts.
Hmm interesting
