again a great video, and interesting questions at the end, especially the camera or phone. I'm the sort or person who doesn't like too much choice, and on changing my phone last year, I decided that I could manage with just the phone. I sold my X100, however I found myself going out less and less, and took fewer photos on the phone than I had before selling the X100. Put off by the long wait lists for the X100VI I picked up a used Canon M6 with 22mm lens. Whilst I am back out each weekend either in my local town, or a day trip to London, I can't get used to the electronic wheels (they go to sleep) I miss the real physical options that can be set even with the camera turned off. For me I found that going for a walk with my camera has a purpose that is missing from going for a walk with my phone, even with the M6.
Thanks for watching. Very much so ! I walk all the time every day with my phone in my pocket so technically always have a phone with me. I now use it for TH-cam and the occasional street shot but lots of Landscape shots ! Funny really as the iPhone is not the best landscape camera in the world but it’s probably the best one to carry all day. I only actually get in the Zone and shoot with purpose with a real camera in my hand though on the street so fully understand ! You could probably find an X100V on MPB now for a reasonable price !
@@MattHart Hi, yea it was an X100V that I sold, I'm currently squirreling away all my pennies and will decide what is next. Truth be told, I want another M and the corresponding 28 & 50 summilux (I had before, but they were stollen) but I'm no longer comfortable spending that much. There is no rush, so maybe I just put my name on the waitlist for a VI, or save a bit more and look at the Q3.
@@MattHart I had a day trip into London yesterday, and played with a Q3, nice piece of kit but it didn't inspire me to splash the cash. Then on my way to Covent Garden I went past the Fuji store and had a play with the X-T5, with the 23mm F2 lens, that felt much better in hand. It was also very quiet. The assistants offered little insight into delivery for the X100vi except to temper your exceptions towards 6 months rather than 2-3 months. There is a £250 promo on the X-T5 until the end of June, so no stress to make any decision.
I'm sticking to my trusty x100f, I feel its OK to go and drawl over these expensive and wonderful 'street' cameras but does it really make you a better photographer? At nearly 81years of age I know from experience it wouldn't make the slightest difference to my photographic enjoyment or to my images. GAS for me comes not only from behind but from eye level lol.... keep shooting guys and enjoy what you see.
It’s funny the girl in purple with the matching street furniture is growing on me. I don’t even like colour ! I get a few keepers possibly 3 when out shooting not making videos. But it takes longer to get shots I love or would put in an exhibition or book.
@@robinchun1 I was actually warn out when I replied to this last night as was thinking of Vangough ! But most of them had their demons ! As do so many creatives ! Think mine ate pink unicorns!
Thanks
Hay Roy, thanks very much very much appreciated.

@@philalker3941just about everyone I know is getting a Q3 I think I prefer to have less money in my hand for street photography personally.

re the copying bit, Picasso said... 'lesser artists borrow, great artists steal'
He was always off his head on stolen Absinth lol
