This is very common in Mexico and these rituals are practiced mostly in the south and center of the Republic, they are called “limpias” and they remove the bad energy like mal de ojo, aire, or something you’re carrying on, here usually the person rubs you with an egg. It’s very relaxing.

There are no words to describe what this video made my brain do. The emotions I felt were a mix of the sluggish bliss from asmr and tense from being exposed to a new thing, but there was something else that reminded me of confusion but felt entirely different. I don't think that that emotion has a name. But as confused as I was, I also knew that this woman can only be described as worlds greatest spiritual grandma.😌I am at peace

She looks and reminds me of my mom. I’m so grateful and honored my mom is an indigenous race. I was born in America but grew up so differently compared to my Hispanic friends here or in general I’d say haha my mom is so spiritual and some might say weird because she’s very much into nature and speaks to her plants. Has names for them and teaches me every little thing about growing herbs and food. I’m so thankful for this video. Brings me comfort.

I just recently lost my abuelita and it’s really taken it’s toll on me to a point I didn’t know I could reach. I’ve been seeing this video on the recommended and then I’ve decided to finally click it. When she said, “good morning my dear” I just about lost it. She sounds so similar to my abuelita and the whole time I’m just vulnerable and at peace. I’m emotional from happiness and this really just brought an overwhelming feeling to me. My grandma gave me a short version of those. My aunts to use to laugh. I loved ot. It ks helpful also after being scared after an accident or after anythimg that frigjtened you specially of the person is feeling sleepy all the time, sad, fatigued for no apparent reason. I miss my grandma. Yes. I practice too on my kids. They used to like it.

Hahaha I find that it's not just the healing and calibration itself that's so restorative, but the focused care and time on a person, feeling human touch and connection, having someone's undivided attention and loving care for a little while in a fast paced world where we all just want to be seen, to have someone to "hold space" for us... those are the things that really go a long way. 🖤

Lol....I was always the "touchy feely" friend. If anyone had a headache or muscle ache they'd ask me to give them a massage. Or if they just needed a hug or to cuddle they knew I was always available. Now... I live a very isolated life. And I'm so touch starved I cry when I get a head massage when I get my hair cut (which I can only afford to do once or twice a year).

As an ecuadorian woman,i remember getting this done to me when i was a bit younger with my grandmother. We come from deleg and holistic medicine and healers are strongly believed. Especially the natural remedies. Thank you for this. I miss ecuador so much. Using the language quechua also ♡
