Puerto Rico has talented players but apparently the coaching is not to par! Problems in all facets of the game! Setting the ball, digging, blocking etc. They need an international coach like most other countries do. You need to put your pride to the side and your money where your mouth is!
Meh, PR has no reliable middle blockers and passing or defense for many years. The passing was horrible against Ukraine that’s not even a strong team, the libero looked like he had never seen a ball faster than 110kmh in his life. They want to play power ball like their cousins the USA but…. They don’t have the talent to be relevant with that type of system , they should try adopting a really fast pace system like Japan but that’s not what people grow up playing in the island. They never give chance to some of the better liberos like Derek del valle, who idk if he gets called anymore to play for the island while being a professional in Europe for almost 10years, no wonder Gabby Garcia left to team USA.
@@tc7500 the options of PR are limited because we like volleyball , but the whole supporting system is limited, even since the pro league got rid of imported players , the quality went down significantly. Also moving the tournament away from winter pushed away all of the good players that would play here when their main leagues were on break. Probably needs a cultural shift in how we play in high school.

Agree a 100%. PR doesn’t have the height so they need more defense and faster offense! They need better coaching as well!
