Minimalism in other areas allows you to embrace your obsession with wooden toys - this is so me too!!
Exactly 😂😂😂
Haha I love your daughter playing with them in the video. I don’t have the balls yet because my 2 year old is in a throwing phase and wood hurts 😂 but we are slowly building our stash and loved watching this!
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yes, I cringe when any of it gets thrown - accidentally or not!
Just wanted to say I absolutely love your video! I know it would be a lot, but I would love to see an in depth video of your collection! I’m starting to purchase additional grimm’s for Christmas and it would really help to see a video of each toy to see sizes and to see your updated collection!
Thanks for the idea! I'm certainly happy to do some more in-depth videos, are there any pieces you would particularly like to see?
I agree!! Always love looking at peoples Grimms collections!!!
These are her toys, yet you seem stressed about her playing during this video...😄 glad she's enjoying her collection! Thanks for the review.
More concerned about taking a block to the head hahah
I am due in April with my first and have had to restrain myself from buying too many toys, I do like seeing your toddler throw and knock things over haha because it reminds me I have plenty of time to get a big set of blocks and other fun things! I want to buy everything 😅 but this was a nice video, I subscribed, can't wait to see more!
Thanks so much for subscribing! I know how you feel wanting to buy everything - the ways they use it are certainly pretty variable, I am hoping she will settle down to building in the next year or two!
Great video! This was very helpful!
It also puts mom life into a nice, neat nutshell 😂
Glad it was helpful! Toddlers, right??
Grimms toys are just stunning. Your collection is amazing. Love your daughters name, my wee one is called Ivy Violet. 💜 I happily spend my money on toys rather than boring adult things!!!
That’s a gorgeous name! And yes, I agree - toys interest me way more than most other hobbies!
I really enjoyed watching your video!🌷
Fantastic video! Extremely useful! I admire your collection - the biggest I have ever seen. Would you please say again which brands do you use for the trees?
Thankyou! The trees are Raduga Grez
The weather set is one of the most played with items in our collection. As weather, Puzzle, in Open ended Play….
So interesting the way it works out! My kids are older now and use it more...but I wouldn't say it will ever be a favourite.
Thanks so much for this. I was wondering about buying the rainbow.
Always a good starting point!
My name is Violet, it melted my heart when I heard your little one's name :)
Awww how sweet! Nearly three years later I’m still obsessed with it!
Such an impressive collection!! (I've watched this three times haha) We have a bunch of the smaller items but looking into getting our first set of blocks/building sets. My daughter is only 17 months old - is there one you would recommend starting with??
Probably either the LSP or the basic building set - I will say that if you only plan on getting one, the LSP is the best for us.
Use a freight forwarder (myUS /myUK type of thing) and you can order from overseas ;) works for me anyway
Yes, I used MyUS - it just made the cost astronomical!
Best wishes for your children
She’s so cute I love her in this video
Thank you!
Could you please put the rough amount that was spent on all these items together? Although I know these can be played by the kids till they are even in their teens. However, I found wooden toys are excruciatingly expensive. I appreciate your review and it definitely does help those who are new to this world. Still, the price altogether must cross $1000 at least. Is it so?
Yes, it would be more than that. But as I said in the video, the size of this collection is totally unnecessary. Whilst I fully believe in buying high quality, ethically made items, buying just one of these pieces is a great place to start and much better than buying a bunch of cheaper toys that won’t stand the test of time.
Now that you’ve had more time, do you still regret the weather set?
Well I probably wouldn’t choose to buy it again given my time over. I really like it displayed in our playroom, but as a toy it isn’t doing much for us. I’m not really into kids items that are purely decorative.
Color transfer doesn’t sound that great hmmm otherwise they are gorgeous. Does the color really rub off a lot on each other??
I wouldn’t say it’s a lot, but it does happen. It’s because they aren’t varnished and they use a dye, which is also what makes them non-toxic and grippy. If they’re stored all jumbled together then you’re going to get more transfer.
Lovely video! Another fellow Aussie! Thanks for sharing!! Will try and follow you on IG! 😃 My IG is @stephaniefois
I’m now a new sub! Excited to see more videos from you!
Thank you! So good to have you along!
I just accidentally ordered a grimms toy because I was trying to see if my coupon would work. LOL my husbands gonna kill me but I’m letting it happen at this point
😂 what did you choose?
The classic rainbow
The whole point is the kids playing. Why you so mad
