- Hey loves 🦋,
I attended a chilanga Mulilo
Chilanga Mulilo translates as "showing the fire" and it is mainly a demonstration from the bride’s family and friends showing different kinds of foods the groom will enjoy at her company.

I'm a South African lady that found the greatest love with a Zambian man...I believe he's my soulmate,so I've been here on TH-cam learning the language and culture ofcourse.....so I found this video fascinating , in my culture (Zulu) we do "umembeso" for the grooms side and we gift them with blankets but I see in Zambian cultures it's pots full filled with food❤❤I enjoyed watching...Thank you.... may someone kindly translate the lyrics of the songs,I'd appreciate it...😊
Hey mama, thank you for taking your time to watch ! Love is such a beautiful thing omg! I also believe that his your soulmate!!yess!! I need to come to the wedding lol .
Well this particular ceremony is from the bride, she’s showing her husband to-be and his family what food she will be cooking for him in their marriage, it’s such a beautiful ceremony that’s celebrated by Bemba people but now in today’s world almost everyone is adopting it ,which ,I personally think is wrong, but nevertheless it is free for all.
I will be making another detailed video on this when I return home for my brothers wedding, be sure to turn your post notification for when I upload ❤️

@@tusankineawe it’s good you’ve said it, as a Bemba I don’t like that our traditions are just being adopted anyhow but what can we do
Wow
I have always been wondering what Chilanga mulilo really is so l am guessing this video will answer all my questions 🔥🔥🇿🇼🇿🇲
Yes it will!!! Thank you Nyalaz, one of the best zims around ❤️❤️❤️🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇲
Video doesn’t explain everything, because the songs are cryptic so someone has to explain to you what they mean for you to get full context!
Thankyou for sharing this cultural experience from Zambia with us, much appreciated ❤👍😘

Thank you so much..African culture is unique ❤️
Not showing the fire its showing varieties of food that that groom will be served by bride or bride's family
i love this babe
Thank you for watching ❤️🥺
Hey Lady you didn’t wash The Groom’s Hands.
😂😂😂she probably forgot
@@tusankine Do you see why we must learn what a culture involves?
There is no such a thing as forgetting to wash The Groom’s hands. These ceremonies go beyond the much cooked and displayed food/ dancing/ throwing cash around. Sit down with the elders who grew up cultured not the people of the day who only Research, form a group and gives themselves a TITLE:- eg ALANGHIDZI!!!!, yet such a ceremony as ichilangamulilo or Amatebeto were never done by her parents to give her the Honour which in turn she can demonstrate to others. I mean well please😀.
Thank yiu
Lovely
This was interesting to watch
Thank you for watching ❤️
hi .. is this all that happens during the Traditional marriage.. am from west Africa looking to marry my wife from zambia.. no bride price.. I didn't see the bride come out. is this the full trad marriage
Hello, no this is just many of the traditional events before marriage, this ceremony is a small part where the female’s side of the family shows the male, the types of food they eat, basically just introducing you to their culture. Then another part is also on my channel which is the kitchen party, please watch that one as well and maybe you will get a little clear ❤️❤️❤️
Proud Zambian lady here❤❤❤❤❤

@@tusankine Can't wait to see it all
Much appreciated once again
@@tusankine this is a great video, one suggestion 😁 it will probably educate us more if you could explain each stage of the ceremony, from the walking into the house to the singing to the lady lying down next to the food etc 😁😁🇿🇲
@@MM-np4md yes , thank you so much for watching, and I will definitely do that in my next video , be sure to subscribe ❤️❤️
Omg our traditions are so beautiful.

People who love food 😂❤️❤️
💑💪💪💏
❤️❤️🥺
I have a question, do you keep the pots and all when the food is done or you have to return them?🤔😅
You eat the food and return the pots😌😂😂. We are waiting on yours
@@tusankine You are even here, your answer isn’t in full or truth of what else is done before you eat the food and after. Go and research more. Wishing you the best.
And put money in every pot
Ehhh these customs are for which tribe?
Its Originally from the Bemba tribe but Zambians do it regardless of their tribe
