Great to watch! I was able to attend countless events at the Aud starting in 1971. Have a bunch of ticket stubs that I'll be buried with!

I would do anything to be able to look at all of them. I attended every event except for a concert there. I always wondered how the acoustics war with those giant swaying sound absorbers that hung from the rafters

First thing I think of when I think of memorial auditorium is being a young kid. We wanted a shrine circus in 1984 maybe ? Forst time i was ever inside the aud.
I was 5 years of age the place looked so huge so intimidating I just remember looking at the ceiling and seeing them. Giant sound absorbers that were swaying. From the rafters
I remember being so terrified that they were going to fall down and kill us all I remember our seats were in the upper orange. We were so close being that young. Being that high up in such a steep section. Is that arena hold so many memories

This was a 2 day shoot. I went down to the Aud at the end of the second day hoping to get in. Front door was wide open. My buddy and I walked into lobby area, pitch black...Managed to take some letters out of a message board..Only lights were on far side of what was the ice surface near locker room entrances..Got to center ice area was asked to leave by security. Atleast I got in for 10 minutes.

Me and another guy who were checking out the AUD taking pics right before they were to knock it down got to talking. And noticed the entrance under the skyway could be entered we said what's the worst that can happen??? So we snuck in me and him grabbed a few of the giant sound absorbers that hung up in the rafters for many years. We just wanted to get to say goodbye to the arena he and i shared so many memories!!!!!! We walked out shook hands and no trouble came i miss this arena so much!!

I remember watching a game in the fog in the playoffs. Sports illustrated at the time stated that someone stated that Buffalo hasn't discovered air-conditioning yet.
