Once a categorical syllogism is put into standard form, its validity or invalidity can be determined through mere inspection of that form.
The form consists of two factors: mood and figure.
The mood of a syllogism consists of the letter names of the propositions that make it up.

Ma'am, I am highly thankful for your efforts. Your explanation made things really simple for me. Thank you so much for everything.
All your lectures r very prolific , mam
cyrstal clear..!
your question bank with expalnation is amazing and clears all new topics introduced.Thanx mam.
Mam in the example of mood, the answer should be EAI, not AEI.
because in mood, first letter demote major premise, second letter demote minor premise and third letter denote conclusion.
Major premise is the one that contain predicate of conclusion and minor is the one that contain subject of conclusion
Thanks for this!!! I've been having trouble understanding syllogism. This is very helpful!!!!

Ma'am, how do you find what's a middle term? I ain't getting it. I assumed that the "middle term" is the term between the quantifier and copula of the major premise. Can anyone explain?
I think the middle term is the term that occurs in both the premises(also called as common term)
But a middle term does not and is never presentt in the conclusion...i hope u understand☺
All birds are animals
All parrots are birds
Therefore, all parrots are animals
Here the middle term is BIRDS since it is not present in the conclusion but present in both premises
Middle term is the one which is common in both the premises and not present in conclusion.
Whereas the major term is the predicate of conclusion and minor term is the subject of conclusion
Thank u mam♥️
