  • Do I need to eat carbs for breakfast? Is protein the best? What about saturated fats? Deciding what to eat for breakfast is confusing, especially when your goal is to lose weight.
In this video, we take a look at three common breakfast options:
    *A bagel and cream cheese
    *Yogurt and fruit
    *Bacon and eggs
One of these options keeps your body in a state of fat burning, while the other two encourage your body to make fat. Together we'll evaluate each breakfast to determine which one is best for fat loss.
    In the video, you'll learn:
*How to choose slow-digesting foods that keep hunger away until lunch.
*The worst food to eat for breakfast
    * The "healthy breakfast food" that doesn't deserve its title
*Why eating more for breakfast is not a good strategy for holding off hunger
*The best way to eat yogurt
    *The truth about saturated fats

My 11 year old daughter has sworn off of cereal this year before school and every morning has eggs and her test scores have more than doubled this year I attribute a lot of that to her diet.

Is it possible that she is getting more nutrients? I find most commercial serial in UK and Finland disgustingly sweet and their sugar content is way lower than US varieties... Perhaps her improved test scores are more about quitting sugar: it destroys vitamins and minerals.
A tsp of organic honey during cold season might be ok because it has so many bacterial and viral fighting qualities. When my son burned his arm badly, my brother put his hand into a bucket of honey after initial cold water, which my son licked off afterwards: to the doctor's surprise, my son has no mark. Whenever someone in his family or at work place / school gets a first sign of cold, they drink honey water. Never hot: heat destroys enzymes. (My brother is a bee farmer so he knows a lot about bees and honey.) Like alcohol, honey is a wonderful in medicine cupboard but it doesn't belong on the table. It is against the law to add anything to honey Ann's still call it that, but my understanding is that in US you have to read the ingredients to make sure it's 100%

Whether I had dinner or not the night before, I always woke up feeling full. Been like this for as long as I could remember. Because of it I rarely had breakfast. Didn't know that I was doing IF already before it became popular. I grew up in the 70's, so of course, I was worried that someday I would get stomach ulcer, or digestion issue because of the bad publicity of not having breakfast almost every day. Fast forward to today. I'm 54 years old now and I don't remember having a stomach problem or digestion issue.

Another one well done, young lady. One thing: As an insulin dependent diabetic, keeping close watch on the effect of different foods, on my hour to hour BG numbers... I learned years ago that if I eat fat in my food, there is nowhere near the same spike in BG, as if I ate a low-fat meal. Even one that was mostly protein. I discovered that the fat slows down the metabolism of the glucose and gives my body more of a chance to just urinate the excess sugars out.

An excellent video with good information. I see people buying high carb yogurt hand over fist, dozens at a time and then they woddal over to their shopping cart and put them in it. They are told by advertisers that its a good thing but only the plain yogurt is actually good for you. And most fruit is so sweet and full of sugars you might as well be having candy for breakfast. Low carb is really the only way to go when you are losing weight.

Don’t skip breakfast , your eggs bacon whatever .. but don’t eat dinner late 5 pm is good time for eating dinner - also do the 20% of exercises the body need so get the energy body needs too! You are what you eat at the end of the day !

I lost more then 20 kilos doing keto, I look younger now at nearly 64 then I did 8 years ago. Such a good diet to follow, I did slip here and there, and I still do, but within two weeks I am back to losing wieght again, and the wieght, tends to not come on that fast after I did the diet, I do not know why, but it seems that it last a bit even when you switch to carbs for a while, you do not lose when you do eat carbs, but you do not gain wieght fast after Keto. Still I do not command that one should abuse of the time away from the diet, as the befits are to great to throw away.

Awesome video. It's funny that you said that about your insides growling. That was my problem also in high school. If I only knew then what I know now.

Check into black seed oil, Matcha powder (green tea) and turmeric! 3 super foods that can only help in staying healthy.
Also, if we fast every day to where we notice our stomach growing, we can KNOW we are burning fat!
This is a must for loosing weight!
I just subscribed to this nice DR. Great information here! Thank you!!!

I just recently found a yogurt at my store that is purely cultured milk without any sugar added and I was SO GLAD, because I used to make my own yogurt with coconut cream and it got to be pretty expensive and somewhat time consuming.

You have to 'hunt' for Yoghurt without sugar in the US!?! That's sad

Ha..I used to have the exact same experience with my stomach growling at school. Yeah it was very embarrasing. The solution I came up with was to hold my breath and push my stomach out. It would stop the growling ..or mute it but made me dizzy!!!!..Great tips. I always have a problem with breakfast. Never knew what to eat so this is great.

I love your stories! Like you I used to have my regular bowl of Cheerios and two pieces of toast thinking that would get me through my morning classes during my high school years in the early 80s! Now I love my bacon and eggs anytime of the day (during my feeding window!;)) Thank you for your wonderful information...it definitely works for me!
