A little story on the progression of this speed run. It all began with Tfue and Baxlyy battling for the world record. Finally Tfue ended up with a 8:48 beating Baxlyy by one second. Around the same time Baxlyy and Glad were trying to do the Crota segment as fast as possible. I came along and told them I would beat them both on Titan. Neither believed me so I went an invented the way to destroy even single segment of theirs. So here we are with a sub 8 being a reality.
Segment Times:
This run (Best in a run) [WR] Possible Time Save:
Abyss: 3:24 (3:22) [3:21] 2 seconds
Bridge: 1:57 (1:56) [1:55] 1 second
Deathsinger: 1:11 (1:10) [1:08] 1 second
Crota: 0:54 (0:53) [0:36] 1 second
So if you look at the possible realistic time saves it is exactly 7:59. I don't know if and when I will make attempts at the sub 8. I literally have to pb in almost every segment to make it happen. Anyways thanks for watching and make sure to leave a comment/rating. Everything is appreciated.

You know how some of the Bungie devs were initially upset by how easy we made Crota's End through cheesing and whatnot? I can just picture those same people watching this now and being like, "Fuck, I'm not even mad anymore, that's amazing."

I only recently found out about the whole speed run (well I guess you can say community) thing. I was the everyday common player, but when I first saw that you could Titan skate I fell in love. I attempted a few speed runs of my own (didnt end too well haha) So that being said, I can fully appreciate how difficult what you just did was! And it was INSANE! well played bro, and I hope you reach your next goal soon :D

Through the majority of the video I'm like "Yeah okay, regular speedrun. Nothing special' then when he dropped Crota, my jaw dropped. Dude, wtf. That Crota kill was amazing. Liked, and subbed.

PLEASE DO A FULL TUTORIAL ON THIS!!!!! I've been trying to solo Crota forever and this would really help if u could break it down.
There are tons of videos all over TH-cam. It can be done on any class.
Pretty much it's just the jump at the second lamp for non sunsingers. There are multiple ways across the bridge. You also need a really good way to take down Crota. He use a year 2 dragons breath. Raze lighter puts ghallarhorn to shame nowadays. Any decent heavy machine gun followed by grenade. As a warlock I used two nothing manacles scatter grenades.
It's totally doable man, that flawless raider is gonna be yours :)
I cannot begin to imagine how many times you've done this over and over to perfect doing this so quickly.

Ahh. The fermi solution. Remember the days of destiny where faction shaders were dummy rare and the ships were even more rare ? I was so hype to collect them all. Just for the drops rates to go up significantly.

If you hadve had a super at the bridge and sun charged across with a pb in every section what do you think a time would be?

+Dan let me first say it was thought impossible without sun charge for months up until a few days ago, so you get an idea of how hard it is. Also, things such as that don't work quite the same way in full runs as just single segments. To skate out of the glass would mean you have to set it up and delay starting the crota cp. Also once you get out there are all the deathsinger adds still alive where I will have to change weapons and kill enough of them to spawn sword bearer. So in the long run it saves under 10 seconds if performed perfectly. It will instantly make the run 100000 times harder than it already is

Btw: You always seem to turn a little bit to the right when you see the ground at 1:44. Wouldn't it be a couple of seconds faster if you'd turn earlier, going in a straight line instead of a curve, or are there aspects of that fall which I haven't understood correctly? I'm just curious haha... it seems you know what you're doing.

Well I have slowly chipped away at the time it wasn't a one run thing. I'd say I have put 4 weeks of attempts in and a few weeks of practicing stuff

I had shared your 8:18 run with some friends and I knew you could go faster. Just insane and love that it gives me ideas to try out. Btw is there anyway for Titans to cross the bridge in the lamps phase since Bladedancers can just skip it? I assume you've tried. Looking forward to sub-8 run next
it is possible if you have just weight 10. It is pretty hard usually takes 4+ hours to do. And with weight 20 you drop to quick for even bladedance to cross

+Ehror Bops Tried all your strats last night. Couldn't get the sword flying part or bridge crossing but did eventually kill Crota your way. My word is it hard to fly in the lamps section!

When he flys around the abyss, the game registers him as outside the map, so when he falls down, the game applies the weight of darkness a second time. Thus hitting 20.
