- Japan defeated Spain 3-1 to win their first-ever FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup crown in Vannes on Friday evening. This result at France 2018 keeps the trophy in Asia after Korea DPR won the title two years ago in Papua New Guinea.

Amazing to look back on Miyazawa, Ueki, Endo, Takahashi, Nagano (If I´m not mistaken) as I am watching the 2023 World Cup. They are showing their skill, tactical awareness and class and catching the attention of many around the world. Next up is Sweden and even though I wasn´t born in Tokyo I will pray they can win.
Because Japan has been Champions in 2011, and also with the U-17, and U-20 in 2018, and Vice-Champions in 2022, the 2023 World Cup wouldn't be a surprise if Japan becomes Champions again.
