I think three jokers bats could be painted all black for a Keaton Batman. Still waiting on a rebirth. They both look great but the rebirth is what I've been hoping for.
This is exactly how I assigned my two Batmen. 🙂 Batman Rebirth is too small beside Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl. But he scales perfectly with the Macfarlane JL. The 3 Jokers Batman is too tall for the JL, but his height is perfect within the Batfam because he should tower them all.
I was sold on the rebirth till the closing image ahahaah, seeing the 3 joker batman in the back, staring down against the red lighting, he looked so badass!

Three Jokers Batman has the better costume in my opinion. It’s simpler and looks closer to the original design. Rebirth however is a far better figure in terms of proportion and and height. Hopefully Mcafarlane will uses rebirth as a example of how to do future figures like a reborn Superman ( the fusion of rebirth and new 52) and a Wally West Flash.
as soon as I saw 3J Batman next to the action comics 1000 Superman it won me over. I think the scale is better and having the pair together will look great! I think these two will make great defaults for a/my display
where can I see Joe Zeppy customs? Love the blue look, would be interested in what he used and how he did it. Also with some of these paint edits.. are they safe to play? -for children. 😄
He just started an Instagram. I mostly see his stuff in DC action figure Facebook groups. In addition to Batman, he has an awesome Yvonne Craig style Batgirl using the Three Jokers body. I can't speak for him, but in my experience custom paints like that aren't usually able to handle the wear and tear of regular play. BUT if you find him on Insta, I'm sure he could tell you better.
I took a bit of a hiatus from the McFarlane line for a little bit, but I'm getting back into it and this video was greatly appreciated. I've been needing a standard Batman for the display and I do think that the Rebirth version looks like a better figure overall, but to me that's a design I'm not the biggest fan of and its very specific to modern comics. The Three Jokers version to me is closer to my ideal Batman design and is generic enough to pass for a more generalized Batman, so that's probably the one I'd get.
I just bought both like 2 days ago cuz I couldn’t pick which one to get and love both. I love the classic look of the Three Jokers Bat and he’s not skinny and has a solid amount bulk like he should. Glad I have both tho cuz I want to make a BatFamily display and I’ll likely use the rebirth Batman for that. I also picked up the Jace Fox Batman with these

bought rebirth batman today I ended up liking him more than I thought I would he honestly might be my main Batman to go with with my Justice League. He scales better with them than the three jokers and even though the head is small to some people a headswap with an extra death metal batman I had from the wave improves it
Yeah, I think for a head swap on Rebirth I like the DC Essentials best. But if you don't already have one, that is a pretty expensive pickup just for the head.
Newer figure sometimes means newer sculpt, but newer sculpt doesn't mean always a better sculpt and proportion. If you talking a bout a proportion the rebirth one have a weird proportion in his thighs comparing to his chest, there is not enough muscle mass on his chest to compare the muscle mass on his thighs, its like the top half and the bottom half made from a two different figure. Meanwhile the three jokers have much better body ratio proportion. I myself already have the three jokers.

A year later, its still Rebirth Batman for me. In terms of a modern vs Id say either Arkham Asylum Batman vs Arkham City Batman or Arkham Knight Earth 2 Batman vs. Metal Nights Gladiator Batman. Both of the later figures are fantastic AND very true to their respective source material. The former two are very similar and to the average person, very likely they couldnt tell the two apart. Or you could do Dark Detective Batman vs. Gold Label Dark Detective Batman vs. Gold Label Jokerized Dark Detective Batman
Personally, I'm going with the rebirth batman over the three jokers one. I say that because the three jokers batman feels too big whereas the rebirth batman i feel is the right size.
I prefer rebirth for the sculpt. I don't hate the the three jokers batman head sculpt but the head shape is odd much like the dark knights metal batman but a bit better
Yeah no I get it. I have lots of love for both, but I look at Rebirth and I can imagine a handsome playboy under the mask. I look at the Three Jokers head, and, while cool looking, looks more like a grizzled old brawler. Kind of like Dark Knight Returns but more realistic.
Both are great. The one thing with 3J Batman is that the no trunks look just doesn't translate with that figure the way it does with Rebirth Batman. I saw a custom with the trunks painted on 3J and it massively improved the figure for me.
Yes, the painted trunks make a work of difference. You might like my DIY Hush Batman video. It's the same body, and I had some fun swapping the belt/trunks/etc.
So.... For someone like me who only wants ONE bruce wayne batman, I want to make a more realistic style of collection if I can say in that way, I was thinking between modern batman and these two, the cloth suit for three jokers one seems really odd for someone like batman who fights people with gun all the time, and the other two just seem so strange in scale-wise, like, why is the joker taller than them? I'm trying to pick a batman with "armored chestplate" but the size of them compared to joker seem so strange in videos... Wich one would you really recommend for me?
If you only want one Bruce, and you want a more realistic, armored look that scales a bit better than Rebirth, I would go for the Arkham Knight version to be honest.

The purple was definitely an odd choice. I imagine it was an homage to the purple gloves on his first costume. If they had to color the liner, I wish they would have gone with blue.
If you can track down either the entire Defenders of Gotham 5 Pack by Mattel, or just the Batman him loose, he is a great figure. The articulation is a bit dated, but it's a solid black and gray Batman, and he scales great with Marvel Legends.
It's good to be a batman fan in 2022 I'll have both these guys as they are good for different things. But before anyone really wants to bash the three jokers figure.. Its got a ton of potential yes but like it was touched upon but the figures great to me because it captures lots of different dipictions. There's some keaton in there, some Affleck and some of the animated shows as well as some mean pre DKR vibes
Oh yeah. Three Jokers is great, and honestly, I think it's most people's preferred one. I will be interested to see if and how that changes once Hush comes out.

I did something that I thought would be a simple head swap but turned out to be a customizing nightmare but I put thr Azur-ur-are...whatever. the colorful batman head on thr 3 jokers body which required popping off thr head and cutting off the neck. But it finally looks like the perfect comic batman because it has the longer ears like the the year 2 batman but black.
It's funny you should say that. The Year Two Batman has the same issue, and it's the same body as Three Jokers. I think the problem is the rubber groin piece more than the legs. It's just a bit too cinched at the waist and gives him that hourglass figure.
I don't have the Arkham Asylum, but I do have Arkham City and there are a lot of similarities between the two, so based only on that I'm gonna say Three Jokers. It's better proportioned, better articulated, and has a more generic Batman look that will pair better with a wider range of other figures.
Sadly, it is not. The head and neck are all one piece on Three Jokers. It is only compatible with the Year Two Batman and the Battle Damaged versions. It will also be compatible, however, with the upcoming Hush figure.
I wish there was a version with the rebirth suit but with the bulkiness of the three jokers version. Seems they went with the lanky route similar to the latest DC Direct one. There was an earlier DC Icons Rebirth one which had more bulk but was too small. Personally not much of a fan of lanky Batman figures, so I have ordered the three jokers version.
I'm pretty sure that's the Icons one I put in the comparison section. The only other DC Icons Batman (to my knowledge) is the Blue and Gray one. And to be honest I think that one is supposed to to be Dick Grayson.
They both aren't great but the rebirth one is way better. Better proportions, better anatomy. Has an actual forhead unlike the 3 jokers one which doesnt
2 things to improve your channel. slow down and change your voice to alittle more monotone. fast and high pitch gets annoying fast. you mentioned everything except that the rebirth is bottom heavy than the 3 joker Bats
In hindsight, I wish I'd addressed the legs since it's one of the bigger talking points about the figure. Thank you for your feedback. It's a tricky balance. While I accept my faster pace might be annoying to some, being too slow and monotonous can just as quickly become boring to others. Always looking for that sweet spot. Thanks again!
That's a really great question. As someone's whose DC Collection is a mishmash of McFarlane and DC Direct, it makes me happy as it fits in better, but if your collection is mostly McFarlane we can see this figure doesn't scale as well.
My DC displays are a mishmash of DC Collectibles/Direct, McFarlane, and *some* of the larger DCUC, so I appreciate the height on Rebirth because he scales much better with those. If my collection was all McFarlane, Three Jokers would be my go-to hands down. And he might yet be. Waiting to see how I feel about Hush.

I love the classic feel of the Three Jokers, but the more time I have with the Rebirth, especially the face and proportions, I am liking it better and better.
3 jokers batman and joker are bit too tall imo, as well as some of the bat family, Rebirth scales better with other JL members, now where is rebirth wonder woman...
I've been asking about a Rebirth Wonder Woman going back to that Todd McFarlane designed one! Heck, at this point I'd take a retro-style spangly star-covered undies version lol
That's really interesting. I passed on that one when it came out, but maybe it deserves another look -- especially now that so many other Bat-figures have been released.
Right??? Not to make comparisons, but part of why No Way Home worked was because it was Tobey and Andrew as we'd known and experienced them. My biggest issue with the new design is the edge of the cowl/transition to the cape. I miss the scallops. This new suit is fine on its own I guess, but really feels like a combo of Keaton and Kilmer.

I'll have both these guys as they are good for different things. But before anyone really wants to bash the three jokers figure.. Its got a ton of potential yes but like it was touched upon but the figures great to me because it captures lots of different dipictions. There's some keaton in there, some Affleck and some of the animated shows as well as some mean pre DKR vibes
Oh yeah. Three Jokers is great, and honestly, I think it's most people's preferred one. I will be interested to see if and how that changes once Hush comes out.
@@5POAFigureReviews i mean hopefully the figures keep improving its very frustrating to me we can't get a batman that crouch and look good doing it. I can't afford imports and I actually think that the best batman figures I have are either DC Collectables or Mattel figures.

I did something that I thought would be a simple head swap but turned out to be a customizing nightmare but I put thr Azur-ur-are...whatever. the colorful batman head on thr 3 jokers body which required popping off thr head and cutting off the neck. But it finally looks like the perfect comic batman because it has the longer ears like the the year 2 batman but black.

Where is the regular Batman with blue cape and head and yellow circle? Year 2 he is good. Don't like rubber capes only cloth. Why they move so much. ?
I often don't include him because taking him apart from the giant cape and graveyard and putting the arms on and such is a pain in the butt

Yep. They are the same body, so swapping is no trouble. Just pull out the legs and switch the trunks. Pop the legs back and voila

Batman Rebirth have legs of woman ... Batman Three Jokers is perfection .
It's funny you should say that. The Year Two Batman has the same issue, and it's the same body as Three Jokers. I think the problem is the rubber groin piece more than the legs. It's just a bit too cinched at the waist and gives him that hourglass figure.

I don't have the Arkham Asylum, but I do have Arkham City and there are a lot of similarities between the two, so based only on that I'm gonna say Three Jokers. It's better proportioned, better articulated, and has a more generic Batman look that will pair better with a wider range of other figures.

Check out my video on the Hush two pack. It has some reason issues. Honestly, I'd say get Three Jokers.
I would switch the heads if it's possible.
Sadly, it is not. The head and neck are all one piece on Three Jokers. It is only compatible with the Year Two Batman and the Battle Damaged versions. It will also be compatible, however, with the upcoming Hush figure.
I wish there was a version with the rebirth suit but with the bulkiness of the three jokers version. Seems they went with the lanky route similar to the latest DC Direct one. There was an earlier DC Icons Rebirth one which had more bulk but was too small. Personally not much of a fan of lanky Batman figures, so I have ordered the three jokers version.
I'm pretty sure that's the Icons one I put in the comparison section. The only other DC Icons Batman (to my knowledge) is the Blue and Gray one. And to be honest I think that one is supposed to to be Dick Grayson.

2 things to improve your channel. slow down and change your voice to alittle more monotone. fast and high pitch gets annoying fast. you mentioned everything except that the rebirth is bottom heavy than the 3 joker Bats
In hindsight, I wish I'd addressed the legs since it's one of the bigger talking points about the figure. Thank you for your feedback. It's a tricky balance. While I accept my faster pace might be annoying to some, being too slow and monotonous can just as quickly become boring to others. Always looking for that sweet spot. Thanks again!

Why is Rebirth Batman so short?
That's a really great question. As someone's whose DC Collection is a mishmash of McFarlane and DC Direct, it makes me happy as it fits in better, but if your collection is mostly McFarlane we can see this figure doesn't scale as well.
I'd take three jokers body, but replace it with rebirth's head. Batman rebirth is too small imo I wish he was taller
My DC displays are a mishmash of DC Collectibles/Direct, McFarlane, and *some* of the larger DCUC, so I appreciate the height on Rebirth because he scales much better with those. If my collection was all McFarlane, Three Jokers would be my go-to hands down. And he might yet be. Waiting to see how I feel about Hush.
Technically because of the liberties McFarlane took with Rebirth, Three Jokers is actually more “comic accurate”

3 jokers Batman abs are not at a permanent angle
The section is jointed at the waist and the ribs.
Move it into the right place.
Even moving it into the right place, you'll notice that they are still at an angle, with one side of the abs sculpted higher than the other.
@@5POAFigureReviews if you had abs, you’d know that only on the rarest occasion are they perfectly symmetrical. This Figure looks amazing. You nitpick too much about things that are not an issue
Rebirth Batman looks nicer to me ...
I love the classic feel of the Three Jokers, but the more time I have with the Rebirth, especially the face and proportions, I am liking it better and better.
3 jokers batman and joker are bit too tall imo, as well as some of the bat family, Rebirth scales better with other JL members, now where is rebirth wonder woman...
I've been asking about a Rebirth Wonder Woman going back to that Todd McFarlane designed one! Heck, at this point I'd take a retro-style spangly star-covered undies version lol

That's really interesting. I passed on that one when it came out, but maybe it deserves another look -- especially now that so many other Bat-figures have been released.
why would they put the 89 batman in a new suit!!!!
Right??? Not to make comparisons, but part of why No Way Home worked was because it was Tobey and Andrew as we'd known and experienced them. My biggest issue with the new design is the edge of the cowl/transition to the cape. I miss the scallops. This new suit is fine on its own I guess, but really feels like a combo of Keaton and Kilmer.
