SUBBED! I've previously looked at some RHCP songs to learn but they are deceptively hard to play for a beginner :')

Hi! oh cool, good luck with your open mic night, that's super exciting! My tips would be to learn the song so that you can perform it without needing the words or sheet music. The more comfortable you are with the song, the more confident you will feel on stage and then you can CONNECT with your audience without needing to stare at the music. Also, SMILE and have FUN! The audience will feed off of your energy, if you make a mistake, its ok! Keep going and try to remember how much you love music and that should come across in your performance - enjoy! 😃
