Kayak fishing in Melkbosstrand{Kob Catch&Cook}

I’ve caught some Kob from shore in Melkbosstrand, but I really wanted to try targeting Kob from the kayak. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. The weather was great in the morning, but all of a sudden, the weather changed and we approached by a big storm. We needed to get off the water ASAP! Luckily, Morne was able to land a nice 54cm Kob that was cooked 2 hours later.

Nice video! Is it easy to launch there in the surf or do you have to time it properly? I've never been kayak fishing before still on my to do list. Heard of guys catching kob there on paddle tails off kayak.

I found it easy, because I walked in waist deep before getting on the kayak, so by then there were no waves🤣🤣 launching is easy, but coming out is the tricky part where you need to time the swells and waves
