One of my favorite Mili songs. If you listen with headphones, you can clearly hear one voice on one side, and the other on the other. Makes it a very enjoyable experience. This song is also in a rhythm game: Deemo! It keeps up with the piano specifically, which isn't the clearest thing in the song, but it goes pretty hard with some very tricky beats. A very fun song to play, but it's also hard with the rhythms.
@@thomy1516 As I recall from a Q&A quite some time ago (no idea where to find it, if it's still available), Cassie had similar reasons for using 617 as Douglas Adams had for 42. It's just a nice number that fit well in the song. She noted in particular that it's a prime number, which added to it feeling magical.
you got about 90% of it, i think! the only bit you're missing (and most of this is from another song in the saga, "sl0t") is that ga1ahad is an android that the witch created, and subsequently falls in love with, albeit a really destructive and toxic sort of love that ga1ahad mirrors. see lyrics like "That makes your bones stronger than steel/That backs up your thoughts to the cloud" (there's also ga1ahad describing themself as an "iron maiden" which i choose to believe means they're lesbians, but that's just me :p) lancel0t here is not ga1ahad's father, but instead their prototype, whom the witch discarded for reasons not entirely clear to us, but presumably lancel0t didn't work the same way the witch wanted. lancel0t's final moments are detailed in "sl0t", which is... good, but genuinely harrowing to listen to, at least for me, so listen with caution i guess! lmao
This song, Summoning 101, and RTRT are my favourite from Mili. There are also Utopiosphere and nine point eight from Deemo that makes me feel really emotional.
You should definitely react to older Mili Songs like Nine Point Eight, Meatball Submarine, Space Colony, etc. They're really good and I think a bit more less depressing compared to Mili songs now
I'd recommend "Witch's Invitation" and "Sl0t." Witch's Invitation is one of Mili's earliest songs that both this song and Sl0t reference fairly heavily, and Sl0t is a personal favorite of mine.
@@metachirality a lot aren't connected but does reference certain parts Like Bathtub Mermaid doesn't really connect much but it has the "spell chant" in it.
my very first Mili song, introducing me to them about four years ago now. almost got to see it live but Cassie dislocated her knee and they ran out of time :( definitely one of my favorites, it's connected to sl0t and summoning 101 as well, so yk :]
Stimulates your flip-flop.
we're going into Mili's roots, funky existencial suffering.

They cook shit like Ender Lilies ost again and I will be all in for it

the number 617 keeps coming up in mili songs
IKR? I love how Mili songs connect
The running theory of why this number shows up in a meta perspective is that Cassie Wei (The vocalist and lyricist) got married on june 17th or 6/17
@@thomy1516 I didn't know that but I love that idea

*THERE’S LORE?*
@@aweirdlookingcat3707 wait, u didnt know?
I knew there was lore, but never knew the order tô listen to

I thought he was a corpse
I love this song! Mili originals often tell a story, its so cool
now do summoning 101.. it's the only song from them that got me emotional
not even RTRT? that one always gets me, but it is understandable why summoning 101 would do
@@misan7690 RTRT is alright but summoning 101s sound is so much more sad to me and the story is so cute
For me, it would definitely be Past the Stargazing Season (though it's a remix, so it's teeechnically not their song)

YAY :D also i think that the mention of lancel0t is meant as a reference to a failed attempt from the witch to bring ga1ahad back
i would love for you to listen to Mushroom too, it's one of my Mili songs
