The Midnight Sky 2021 I island's first Daikoku style meet-up

So if you follow the Japanese Car Culture religiously despite of your self stereotype being a Domestic, Import or even an Exotic style you probably must have heard of a world famous place amongst the community called the ‘Daikoku PA’ unless you’ve lived under a rock.
‘What is Daikoku PA?
The Daikoku Parking Area is a rest area located on the Daikoku Route of the Shuto Expressway in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Built with an almost perfect concrete structure as the backdrop which makes it world class in our books. It is the largest parking area on the Shuto Expressway, being so extra large the car community in Japan quickly took over the PA for an every weekend gathering amongst all individuals around Tokyo and almost in all of Japan.’
And me being me, nerding out on every Japan Culture and Style, have been wanting, well almost itching you could say to organize something similar to my fellow enthusiasts to enjoy. But if you’ve ever landed on this soil you’d know we’ve never had a perfect location as such, it’s always the rather the pointless jungle with concretes.
But then I remembered the new ‘Vegetable & Fruit Market Complex’ has the most identical looking vibe that I’ve been searching for, to make this somewhat madness a reality.
And there began the process, introduction, purpose, benefits, settlements, meetings, paperwork, etc…., and many many boring weeks later we finally landed on getting this “show” on the road for the 18th December 2021, also making it a year end meet after all the crucial viral self isolation stuffs we’ve had one heck of a time with.
And my fellowship never let me down, what an amazing turnout of almost a 100 cars in a couple days notice, what an absolute blast of a time we had that night with one amazing weather and to top it all off, an epic location.
My heartfelt thank you to everyone that’s made this happen, giving me hopes for putting up something much bigger and better. 🙏
I’ve not stopped, won’t stop. Bigger, I mean much much bigger plans are in the works as we speak. Good things do take time.
