Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. Thrill was Band Maid's first MV early in their career when they had outside writers. For the last 7 years they have composed all their own stuff (with a few exceptions) and it's pretty much all more complex, but no matter because they can play anything live and almost always far better than the studio recordings. In fact I believe there is only 1 song in their catalogue of around 120 songs which they've never played live for some reason. If you do decide to dive in then try the Manners/Black Hole live video, Manners is a groovy tune and Black Hole is a bit mad.
Loved your reaction, definitely will come back to your channel. Just one plea: Pleeeaase no talking - but all ears - when Misa gets down to business on her bass and Kanami on her guitar! I've never heard of QWER, but Nemophila and Band-Maid: Not a day goes by without me listening to them!

You just watched the first MVs from NEMOPHILA (2021, only one “i”) and BAND-MAID (2016). Both bands just get better from there, and both command a wide range of musical styles. Each is considered to have created a new genre. NEMOPHILA spawned HAPPY METAL, and BAND-MAID has a defined a genre we just call, “BAND-MAID.”
I just subscribed, so please do more of these two soon. Try BAND-MAID, DOMINATION, live in 2020, and NEMOPHILA, OIRAN, live 2023.

I love Band-Maid and like Nemophila quite a bit but i'm not so into metal core and growls. I hope you'll react to more Band-Maid. I'm also a fan of Dreamcatchers early horror series(Chase Me, Goodnight etc), it was rocking pretty good
Thrill barely scratches the surface of what Band-Maid can do. Domination (live) is a common starting place for reactors, but I think "Hate?" live is even more fun, despite the title and lyrics. I would love to see you react to them.

If you enjoyed Nemophila, you should definitely check out LOVEBITES. In my opinion, they are currently the best Japanese metal band and one of the best new metal bands worldwide. They are also more on the heavy side yet again quite different sound wise. Their live version of "Holy War" is probably a good starting point. I also think you should give Band-Maid another shot. Thrill was one of their earlier songs (it actually is their break through song) and in my opinion, their songs have really improved since then, especially since they started writing almost all of their songs themselves. I really recommend the live versions (almost always better than their MVs) of "Hate?" or "Don't you tell Me". If you are up for an instrumental "Onset" is also very good.

No me gusta no me interesó nunca, pero Nemophila mis respetos y admiración! metal es mi alma mater y la cantante Mayu es una verdadera cantante metal! A couple Japanese bands that DO compare to Dreamcatcher, in terms of being a similar setup of vocals and choreo being the main focus, with a backing band or backing tracks of hard rock or metal, are BABYMETAL, Passcode, and Metalverse (an offshoot of the same idol group that produced BABYMETAL and following the same visual theme).
