Resonance and Tuning Forks

  • A two-meter stick is used to demonstrate the vibrations of a tuning fork. Higher harmonics are demonstrated for a given tuning fork and various tuning forks of different lengths are shown to vibrate with different frequencies.

    Great demonstration. I would very interested to know which fork could cause resonance in which other forks, since they are multiples of each other.

    Very cool video. This explained exactly what I was curious about- if the speed/hardness of impact on a tuning fork could cause different harmonics.
