What I love about this battle is that, you really get to see who was in control of the Lion War. After fighting over five different Lucavai and seeing who's the ring leader over this war, it was satisfying to see who it was.....both of who it was and what the intentions were. :)
Because of FFXIV's Return to Ivalice raid series, now I can't listen to this without the memetic quotes from the last boss in Rabanastre. "YOU ARE BUT BLOOD TO STAIN THE CIRCLE." "I AM THE LIES UPON WHICH YOU SUP." "I AM REVELATION! YOU WILL BE JUDGED." and so on and so forth.
Now you have *four* spam options: Mustadio (I rarely miss!), Agrias (Ruination has come!), Cidolfus (The Gods will not be watching), and the Nice Body herself, Ultima.
What I hate more that life, love, and Lucavi is that my first ever playthrough of this game that came to completion, I had my units all be characters based on my friends/family. I had one that was me, one that was my brother, one that was [this] friend or [that] friend, you get the idea. I was a rather powerful monk with dual-wield and Arithmetician. And by the time for the final boss here, I was HAMMERING HER! But right at the beginning of the fight, I told my brother to jump (Dragoon/Black Mage) on her. He was so slow that he was up there the WHOLE FIGHT. He never once landed. So here I am laying into this feathered nightmare, dealing large quantities of punchies, and Ramza and the rest are taking care of the other minions. I'm starting to think, "surely she must be getting low", and FINALLY my brother lands, right on her... killing her. It wouldn't be so maddening if she hadn't MOVED AROUND THE BATTLEFIELD during that time! And just ended up back where he was targeting that jump! My older brother stole the kill from me on the final boss, winning the game. I was jokingly mad with him (as he was not actually present when it happened, I did tell him though and he thought it was hilarious). We both imagined he jumped and hung out in the crow's nest waiting for the right time to steal the kill. Just sitting up there, watching me Sabin her ass - fully Bum-Rushing her - until the time was right to plunge that holy lance in her skull. GAH!
I always thought there was two different ultima spells. Ultima and all-ultima. I didn't know she can use a very rare to see spell which is also called ultima, but is a cross between ultima and all-ultima (basically, there is ultima(1) ultima with bigger aoe (2) and all-ultima that is stronger (3)
Altima should have been a stronger boss. Imagine she had a turn in-between everyone of your character's turns no matter what. On top of that she should have been able to act twice per turn so she could strike and cast simultaneously.

I don't remember Altima having that sword. Wasn't it just the two leg-daggers?
