So many great arcade memories with Cruis'n Exotica back in the early 2000s. I haven't tried Cruis'n Blast yet in the arcades, but I'm looking forward to playing this on the Switch.

Fun fact: When the Switch was announced, I've heard that Cruis'n Blast was an arcade game machine, so I looked at some videos and it looks fun, weird and great. Back then, my first thought was "this should be on the Switch". It took 'em 5 years, but it's the thought that counts. The Switch needs more arcade racing games.

The Cruis'n speedrunning discord popped off yesterday when we saw this announcement. Blast being ported over to the switch with so much extra content is something I never could have imagined. This was unironically my favorite part of the direct.
I know the 12 year olds in chat dumped on the game during the Direct stream, but I actually think this looks super rad. It really seems like they captured the feel of those old Y2K era arcade racers. Almost like a ”what if the Cruis’n series continued on the Dreamcast after being N64 exclusive”, but with better graphics and effects. Just judging by the video, the controls seem super snappy, and it has a real good sense of speed. It’s kinda rare to find games like these nowadays, and even more rare to find those that do it well. So I know I for one am kinda excited about this, at least a little bit (though with only 16 tracks, it’s hopefully not more than $30). And it’s not a ”f2p games as service” game, which is very refreshing in 2021, because they very much could’ve done that.

@@perezaraujo2890 Cruis'n on the Wii is super weird. Basically they wanted to bring the old Fast and the Furious arcade game to consoles, but lost the license to it. So they just took all the mentions of the IP out and slapped the Cruis'n name on it.
Atlantis was always my favorite level as a kid growing up across all Cruis'n games, and as a speedrunner it's still my favorite racing level in any game. "I love Atlantis!" -Cruis'n lady

@@MKF30 Yeah I was looking around for information on that. Even on the Eshop it only shows up to 4-players, with no mention of online. Maybe it's not ready yet?

I still can't believe they brought Cruis'n back to consoles. This game was a... Blast on Arcades. Dave & Busters in Toronto has this machine and I just kept playing it along with Mario Kart Arcade.
I remember playing the arcade version of this at a Dave and Busters. I was surprised to find out yesterday that it's going to be playable on the Switch.
I've got to admit that I am a little disappointed in the lack of online play, but I still will check this out since I have been a fan of the series since the N64 era. It'll be nice to race and not have the environment popping up 10 feet in front of you.
This is something I don't get. Forza Horizon 5 still has plenty of very distracting pop in and even the new Gran Turismo for PS5 also has it. So annoying. I don't mind simpler graphics of it means the game is running at 60 fps, at the highest resolution possible, with no pop in and no aliasing. Clean visuals are always better than dirty blurry visuals full of issues.
Oh sweet!! This has to be online!! This brings me back to the 90's, yes! Cruis'N series is amazing and so underrated, I have all 3 on my N64 that I play still, used to play with friends over all the time. Man those were the days, I miss them. My friend and I beat World and went so deep we unlocked the secret demon car that a lot of people didn't know about think it was called "speed demon"
you just know its gonna be epic while driving surrounded by dinos! Im old school, rather have 3 of my buddies next to me and drink beer having fun than being long distance.
They have a cool TMNT game I would love to see ported! Hopefully Raw Thrills takes notice that they can make way more money porting these games a year or two after their arcade release.
I'll never forget the first time I completed the stage named simply "Arizona" "Woah Mount Rushmore!" ... To their credit, the little line on the map did stretch all the way from Arizona to South Dakota, but it was still like a two minute stage... and why not call it... well, it's not the midwest, but just about *anything* other than Arizona!
I remember playing this in a bowling alley's arcade When I left I was kinda bummed because I had a lot of fun, I was hoping it would come out on a console and here we are now- When I saw the trailer on the direct tho I got so hyped, as well as seeing BOTW 2
I feel like I was the only person in the world who wanted a port of this to console! I've been hoping for a port for so long that I originally wanted a port on Wii U! Now I can play this anytime I want and don't have to spend all of my money at Dave & Busters! THX Nintendo!
I'm really excited by this! Cruisin, Rush, and Thunder were games I spent a ton of time playing not only in arcades and pizza places as a kid, but also on the N64.
R.I.P Lamborghini vehicles that once appeared in this game (2017-2020) Also R.I.P Hummer HX Concept & Chevy Corvette C7 (2017-2021) You all will be missed :(
@Nintendo The only downside is that you don't get to use the cars from the original 2017 version of Cruis'n Blast in the Switch version, especially the Corvette C7, the Hummer HX, & the Lamborghini cars: Aventador, Huracan, Veneno, Countach, & Diablo; similar to the 2020 updates to the arcade ones. Not to mention that the closest thing we'll get to driving Lamborghini Cars in Cruis'n Blast again is driving the Police Cruiser in the Switch game, as it strongly resembles the Veneno. AND, you can still see the Lamborghini Aventador, Corvette C7 Z06, & the Hummer HX on the picture of the game's are cabinet in not just the trailer (seen at 0:57), but when the "Classic Arcade" selection is highlighted in the game's main menu, too. However, hopefully if we can reach Raw Thrills with feedback, we can ask them to add all the 2017 cars (Especially the Corvette C7, Hummer HX, & 5 Lamborghini Cars) to the Switch Game as DLC, along with more new cars & manufacturers (say like Ford, Dodge, etc.), new tracks, & new modes like battle races (using power ups similar to Dirty Drivin'). And another thing, the Corvette C8 should get an UPGRADED spoiler when the body / chassis is upgraded, just like the Corvette C7.
Probably rights issues. Those car companies charge a lot for their designs, and often the licenses have expiration dates. That's why you see a lot of old racing games get pulled from sale.

With that, I really hope one day, Raw Thrills can add the Lamborghini cars (Veneno, Aventador, Countach, Diablo, & Huracan), Hummer HX, C7 Corvette, & 2017 Bonus Cars (& maybe 2020 Bonus Cars) as DLC for Cruis'n Blast for Switch.

I feel like I was the only person in the world who wanted a port of this to console! I've been hoping for a port for so long that I originally wanted a port on Wii U! Now I can play this anytime I want and don't have to spend all of my money at Dave & Busters! THX Nintendo!
I loved Crusin' USA and Cruisin' World both in arcades and N64! California Speed was cool too.

I'm really excited by this! Cruisin, Rush, and Thunder were games I spent a ton of time playing not only in arcades and pizza places as a kid, but also on the N64.

I'm excited to have a Cruisn game on Switch
I just got the game yesterday, & it's awesome! It reminds me alot of Burnout 3. A game I played *RELIGIOUSLY* as a kid on the OG Xbox.
I still have a cruisin game from N64. Probably the only reason I'd buy this is nostalgia.
I have the N64 version on the Nintendo Wii Virtual COnsole
This game reminds me race games from 90s, very colorful and crazy competitions!
It's because is one of those franchises... Cruisin' went lost since the 2000's and now is back.

@Nintendo The only downside is that you don't get to use the cars from the original 2017 version of Cruis'n Blast in the Switch version, especially the Corvette C7, the Hummer HX, & the Lamborghini cars: Aventador, Huracan, Veneno, Countach, & Diablo; similar to the 2020 updates to the arcade ones.
Not to mention that the closest thing we'll get to driving Lamborghini Cars in Cruis'n Blast again is driving the Police Cruiser in the Switch game, as it strongly resembles the Veneno.
AND, you can still see the Lamborghini Aventador, Corvette C7 Z06, & the Hummer HX on the picture of the game's are cabinet in not just the trailer (seen at 0:57), but when the "Classic Arcade" selection is highlighted in the game's main menu, too.
However, hopefully if we can reach Raw Thrills with feedback, we can ask them to add all the 2017 cars (Especially the Corvette C7, Hummer HX, & 5 Lamborghini Cars) to the Switch Game as DLC, along with more new cars & manufacturers (say like Ford, Dodge, etc.), new tracks, & new modes like battle races (using power ups similar to Dirty Drivin').
And another thing, the Corvette C8 should get an UPGRADED spoiler when the body / chassis is upgraded, just like the Corvette C7.
Probably rights issues. Those car companies charge a lot for their designs, and often the licenses have expiration dates. That's why you see a lot of old racing games get pulled from sale.
This game has some serious Excite Truck energy, which is probably the biggest compliment I can give a racing game.
Dude, let me tell you something. If Raw Thrills and Eugene Jarvis were to make an arcade version of ExciteTruck... *BOOM!!!!!* Pump up that NOS tank, suckas!!!!!!!
I saw many people in forums lough about this game when it was announced.
But for me it was one of the highlights in this direct.
Man I’ve been wanting to see this come to the slick for YEARS since I’ve first heard it its existence in arcades. Crazy to think it’s taken until NOW for it to finally be released there!😃
I think this game with the graphics from Forza Horizon 5 would be absolutely awesome!
Cruisin' were not really huge graphical showcases... these are silly arcade racing games amidst realistic backgrounds, everything else is over the top

@Nintendo 1 car in particluar (at 0:47 & 0:49) resembles the Lamborghini Veneno. With that, I really hope one day, Raw Thrills can add the Lamborghini cars (Veneno, Aventador, Countach, Diablo, & Huracan), Hummer HX, C7 Corvette, & 2017 Bonus Cars (& maybe 2020 Bonus Cars) as DLC for Cruis'n Blast for Switch.
DLC it should be included in the final game

YOOOOOO! I have so many fond memories of playing Crusin World and USA with my dad when I got home from elementary school and the Crusin franchise was one of his favorite game series ever. I wish he was still around to see this franchise come back cause this looks amazing, and I am eagerly awaiting to get it. I'm just wondering how I missed this.
