My parents died many years ago, and I have no photos of them. Every now and then, I find a neat old photo in a frame I like at a garage sale or thrift store, and I take it home and hang it on a section of my "Family Photo" wall, just to honor whoever they were. I have had several of them for many years now, and even though I do not know who any of them are, they seem like family now! I have WWII air force pilots, a girl from the 1930's taking violin lessons, an elderly Japanese photographer, a symphony conductor taking a smoke break, a civil war veteran who ran a general store, and many others... My visitors often make remarks about my interesting family - and I just smile and agree! ❤❤❤ P. S. I think the little bear-shaped jar used to have syrup in it.
I source alone, but on the weekends my husband and I do flea markets , he has seen my purchases and he knows about Fenton figurines and Longaberger baskets. The problem is he thinks everything is Fenton or Longaberger, he has found me a Fenton once and he will never let me forget it.😊
A restaurant, in my area they collected vintage photo's from the late 1800's to the turn of the century, of discarded photo's, the owner's put them into frame's and have them all over the restaurant walls, because the town was founded in the Mid 1800's these photo's fit into the place wonderfully, it's another way to save these old photo's 😊❤
The left handed pitcher was made at the old pottery in Lightfoot , Va. It used to be a wonderful place full of scattered buildings. It was remodeled/ modern now and no artisans working anymore. The Historical Williamsburg Pottery is made in Colonial Williamsburg and has a modern well defined stamp and usually salt glaze. You have a good piece.
Good stuff! Jimmy was a great helper. I have that sugar plum fairy ballerina plate!! Whatever that one piece was with the four separate sections... Gorgeous!!!

Great seeing Jimmy. He is a good thrifter because he has a good example to thrift with. Happy thrifting. 😊
