I presume that was Gozo that was flown over first. I don’t think I’ve ever approached the airport from that end.

I was always shocked the first time I saw Malta from the air at how greener it was than I was expecting for a Mediterreanean island. Felt like I was looking down at Jersey or something.

you must have visited in winter? in summer its very dry and "brown". Busy towns lack greenery as concrete takes priority here :/
