The Titanium Elite Status gets you United Airlines Mileage Plus Silver its a nice perk but you have to put in the work and turn Silver into Gold... You can get Upgraded to First Class but you have to pick the right plane for your trip, Airbus A319, A320 only has 12-16 First Class seats, Boeing 737-900 or 737-Max has 20 First Class seats those extra seats help allot with getting upgraded to First Class.
Great review, agree on platinum. I’ve had Platinum or Titanium the last 5 years and never noticed a difference in service between the two. I think Platinum is 85-90% as good as Titanium.
Yeah it really is. Being Platinum is all you need, you will already get the upgrades, access to club lounge and 1000 points at c/i. Grinding to Ambassador makes sense, because you have the concierge and 48h guarantee and 24h stay.
Titanium falls a bit short in that departement, expect of the 75% more points.
Great video, I do get upgraded rooms with Gold. You probably didn't mention the credit card shortcuts on purpose, but maybe you should just so people are aware not all people at these levels are really staying that many nights. I stay maybe 10 a year and I'm Gold because of the Amex Platinum. I will have to go for Platinum one day when I get the Bonvoy credit card again.

this is the most realistic review- video I’ve watched. Definitely agree… Ambassador status is nice , and calling the dedicated line when you need something is cool. Buuuut Titanium is just as great. Besides the occasional bottle of wine/welcome card at some properties .. the difference from Titanium to Ambassador is not wide when it comes to perks or upgrades at Marriott. I will say, the one great thing about Ambassador services is if you run out of suite awards, you can call the dedicated Ambassador line before check in and they will put in a request directly to the hotel. Once I found that out, I started choosing “One Free Night” as my tier gift (going from Platinum to Titanium). Hopefully in the future Marriott will bump up the “free-night” points limit from 45,000/Level 4 to a Level 7/8 stay. That would make it worth while.
Mines was 5,000 less then yours (40,000) . Yeah I don't get it ,how much of a reward is if you can't even redeem it anywhere you please. I feel like it should be 100,000 and added to our points. They know what they are doing. For examp; I used mine at a four points sheraton property 11,000 👉-->>essentially wasting 29,000!!!!! Didn't feel like a reward! And those suite upgrades you have to book your stay in advance! Such a gimmicky "prize"

I am really cheap and broke but I love traveling and staying at hotels. I applied for a job at United, been with them for 2 years now. My mom works at Marriott. So I basically fly for free domestically, pay only taxes for international flights, and get discounts at Marriott hotels. I don’t make much money but I am living my best life traveling the world. I have been a titanium elite with marriott since I started traveling two years ago, love its perks.

Having gone from silver because of my chase marriott card, I was gold most of last year, and it was great. I was upgraded at literally every stay I stayed, business & leisure, including to a suite at an Autograph collection property in Bilbao, Spain. I was also always able to check-in early, on upgraded rooms, with one or two exceptions while I wanted to check-in at 7am to catch an 8am F1 race or qualifying session from my hotel room, I've never had any problems with checking-out late, usually good until 3 or 4pm, and and that alone made me want to stay at a marriott no matter I was going to in the world, and I made it to Platinum on 12/31/23 and so far it's been great after two stays in 2024, the real test will be my trip to Amsterdam in about 5 weeks, it'll be my first 3+ night stay as platinum.

At GOLD-ELITE you receive complementary enhanced wifi. Honestly, that's the most desired benefit.

Wow things have definitely changed since making this video. Its like $25,000 points now to reach Ambassador (so annoying being i have 124 nights)
There is not a choice to get 10 suite upgrades ,its 5 just like the platinum one offers.

Up until a month ago i was grandfathered into a rate by 2 ppl that worked at the desk of the Marriott i frequent but unfortunately one disappeared, & then 2 weeks later the other did as well!!! My grandfathered set rate is no more ,after they left my 2nd stay is when the set rate price changed on me! As of my latest stay it was changed yet again ,for the 4th time! I dnt get the difference in employees affects the rate... The dynamic pricing isnt supposed to be thrown onto a loyal guest....I once worked on that end that teaches hotels about pricing. I know for a fact im not the guest thats supposed to take the brunt of the dynamic pricing
Unless you have a corporate rate, the rate is always what it is on the day you book. Be it a prepaid or a best flex. Front desk cannot make up a rate for you because you’re titanium. This is the first time I’ve heard of grandfather rates for a room. Maybe that’s even the reason why they’re gone.
@@discogareththere are friends and family rates but you’re (supposed) to do paperwork once checking in. Employees prob got fired giving that rate with no documentation. And the OP never heard of dynamic pricing. Lolz
@@newagain9964 friends and family rate doesn’t change, neither does associate rate. What you book is what you pay. (Providing you provide your correct and valid form) dynamic pricing exists, but if you actually book a price, you pay that price.
Another thought, most of higher ends hotels are blocking the top tier suits via suite night award. Better to get in touch with the hotel in advance to nudge them in the right direction.
Agree with the best tier, but this year they've created too many of them through campaigns.
The cab resort fee is off the charts and the cabby pays a kick back directly to the bellman. You can see it happen discreetly right in front of you if you are just standing around.
It’s not that Marriott ‘isn’t good at last minute stuff’ it’s the fact it’s a hotel and hotels are often full with other guests.
Being able to call Marriott at platinum and above is that they will help you out

Super sad that the ambassador elite isn’t what it was before. Now $23k spending needed, and I already stay 63 nights so far this year and got upgraded 2 times only. Seems like there are lots of ambassador elites and titanium elites around the world already. 😢

You can get instant Platinum status with the Bonvoy Brilliant credit card. Another popular card is the Ritz Carlton credit card (by product change) but you only get Gold. Are you familiar with these cards? Would you get the Brilliant over the Ritz Carlton card with the Platinum status being the kicker?

I have Titanium Elite status for life. I have found that upgrades are hit and miss in most hotels. I have stayed at premier properties and sometimes get an upgrade, but not often. I have used suite night awards and get the same upgrade I would get if not using the suite night awards, pool view vs road view, I do not know what you are talking about as far as being able to chose your suite. I have never seen that, never been given a choice and on the website it says it is up to the hotel to determine if they will give you an upgrade 24 hours before the stay. I have also used them, been denied and not given the rewards back to my account. I have gone back and forth with them and they have never returned the rewards. Basically, if you decide to try, get denied, too bad you lose the reward all together. The only reason I continue to stay at Marriott is the points. I get good point rates for free rooms vs Hilton. Recently stayed at a property for 20,000 points, the Hilton down the road of similar property was 60,000 points for 1 night. I have found that with Marriott the points go further. That is the only reason for not switching to another reward program. However, I stay where convenient now that I don't need to build status.
It’s impossible to have Titanium Elite Status for life.
The Lifetime Status program ends with Lifetime Platinum.
The reason upgrades are hit or miss is because many people pay for upgrades and they get consumed by paid guests first.
I have gotten great upgrades as a gold elite on low occupancy nights.
@@bperez8656when Starwood merged with Marriott, some elites were given lifetime Titanium Elite status.
@@bperez8656I know two people with titanium for life. You essentially had to be grandfathered into titanium for life. There are still ways to get titanium for life also, but that has to do with timeshares and not worth it in my opinion. My two coworkers are grandfathered with titanium for life. (No timeshares for them either…)
