2024 Nissan Armada.. Dealers Can't Get Rid Of It?

  • The biggest update for the 2024 Nissan Armada is the lack of a Base S trim level. The SV has now taken the Base model spot so the buy-in price of a new Armada increases for 2024. However, there seems to be some great deals on 2023 model years. See my 2023 Honda Pilot vs Nissan Pathfinder video here: • 2023 Honda Pilot vs Ni...

I paid 57,500 for my 2021 Armada SL (they weren't offering great deals back then), and I really love this vehicle. It tows my boat effortlessly, gets decent gas mileage on the highway and after 32000 miles, no issues so far. If you can pick up an Armada for under $50,000 with four wheel drive, then it is a no-brainer. Even though they had an issue with the engine in 2017 (even Toyota engines can have issues in some model years), the Endurance V8 engine is still one of the best engines ever made. Also, the vehicle is a twin brother of the Nissan Patrol and it is built in Japan. Driving my Armada, you can feel the quality inside and outside. My last advice is to buy the vehicle now, before it gets a re-design for the 2025 year, because they are now installing Twin Turbo V6 engine and it probably will not be as reliable as the V8 (just ask Scotty Kilmer on You Tube).

Picked up my 2023 (sat on the lot a year) that was 63K and paid 46k. Love it. I've owned 2 Titan's before it, and the V8 is the best. I've owned 2 Ram 1500 Hemis, and I hated the MDS...Keep it simple, it does the job.

I had a 2014 Armada. Only issue I had was the front pinion seal needed replaced twice. 2nd time just a few days over a year from the first time but Nissan took care of it. Right after that 2nd time @80,000 miles, I traded it on a 2023. I loved my 2014 and so far I love my 2023! I did test drive Tahoe Z71, and I just liked the Armada SL better.

Being a Dealer i see these at the Auctions all the time with either Cylinder 7 issues or Timing Chain and Direct injection pump issues. I had a 2016 Qx80 as my personal truck and when it started giving those above issues i immediately got rid of it. The sweet years for any QX in my opinion is 2009-2010. Yes its older technology but those trucks can do well over 300k mileage easily with proper maintenance.

They have a TSB for this. I suspect they've been fixed in the new v8s. The irony is the engine is the only thing not built in Japan.

@@hamsterbrigadeI saw the Titans get recalled for an Electrical short causing the engine to stall but sadly, not sure if they truly addressed the misfire. I haven’t heard complaints regarding it past 2019 but would like to see an official fix or update of the Engine

2017 QX80 is my daily. MSRP was $85,000 because it’s fully loaded. Bought it 4 years old with 29,000 miles for $40,000. It’s been great so far I hope the engine doesn’t blow at 69,000 miles like in your review. Funny because I have two neighbors with older ones and no problems.

Hi I’m looking for a preowned certified Armada 2021 onwards
Is there a huge diff between Platinum vs SL ?
I want low mileage under 40 K and there are plenty of SL’s but few platinum
I intend to put a lot of miles in this car
Is the cabin too loud ? Lot of road noise ?
    Plz let me know 😊

I must admit I had a rental 2021, loaded to the hilt, and was pleased with the drive train. She was a drinker, but I put a couple thousand miles on her, and it did the job. I could have bought one and saved some serious cash, but I just had to stay with Toyota, I can't get away.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If one can swing it, I do think the Toyota variants are still the better buy but this is great for someone who doesn't quite have the means to purchase the competitors, this is the cheapest option. Toyota will have amazing resale and perform better than this

Dollar to value is all real stuff, but once you break away from the math argument, I think it just comes down to what you want and are able and willing to spend. Is the 100k SUV twice as good as the 50k? Probably not, but there is a quality in the top of the Lexus line that is, to me, undeniable, worth the extra 50k.......ask my kids when the estate is settled, I really at the risk of sounding cavalier, could care less. Excellent review, Kevin. I really look forward to them.

If it's $10000 less than competitors and the motor or transmission goes out in 5-10 years, I still think it would come out ahead with a junkyard one installed. Probably makes sense for some new buyers. So many features too. I was looking at the Versa (not to buy lol) and it has USB c port in the back, digital gauge and smart key and a ton of safety features in some of the trims. I hope Nissan proves to be reliable in the future.

What ppl FAIL to realize and is it finest American's at that? -- is that the Armada has the best ground clearance over the damn designer of the Jeep Wagoneer, Expedition, Tahoe. U look at the A-arm shape & clearance of that under all the other vehicles... if you're attempting any kind of off-roading and u come up to a bolder big enough or if u happen to align your driving just so perfect where u actually get the tire over it, but if u don't and the tire slips off the rock then it's going to damage the a-arm or possibly other stuff under the vehicle... so those complaining about cv replacement -- hmm could it be it's because the cv's are at a greater pitch for the superior ground clearance thus inevitably would cause to wear sooner? I think so.
Or why not just want greater ground clearance for safety anyhow? Lol....
