  • Some sounds from Oasis' "All Around the World" and The Smiths' "The Death of A Disco Dancer", this song is a favourite! Morrissey looking very regal on the cover too. Also, I have to say that I woke up from a nap before recording this and I don't like how my hair looks, but anyways.
    Thanks for watching!

    Referring to his controversial views, often regarded as being racist/xenophobic, Morrissey is certainly not either of these. For example, In 2008 he donated £28,000 to the 'Love Music, Hate Racism' festival saying "this is a historic event, spreading an important, anti-racist message....it must be allowed to go ahead". He also said in an interview with NME, "I would do anything for my Muslim friends, and I know they would do anything for me". I think Mozza disagrees with the teachings of the Islamic faith rather than the followers of it.
    Don't believe all of what the media say as most of it is a load of crap and often twists reality.

      🙏As salamu walaykum🕊As a muslim I have listened to Anne Marie Waters& she blames us for everything& see us as Terrorists which is nonsense. Morrissey clearly has praised them publicly & wore there pin on numerous occasions, he never quite says what he means on the subject but is clearly extremely right wing. He normally can sell out any number of huge Arenas or any size shows across the UK in any place as many times as he likes within seconds year after year for decades I went . Last year in March he played two shows both medium size one in Leeds & one in London both less than half empty I saw it with my own eyes.Admittedly the majority of his UK fan base my self included are left wing& the press here are always against him and stuck in a time warp from before he went solo but he has shot himself in the foot in the UK. He needs to speak more openly here& apologise 🙏Insha Allah👑 Alhamdulillah ☝

    ☁️ This album got me into Morrissey my favourite till the last four. He is my favourite Singer lyricist&Entertainer also The Smiths would be nothing without him,we never miss him live. Boz Boorer & Alain Whyte who wrote most of his his music from Your Arsenal up till Ring leader of the tormenters tried to sound like the Smiths but are more acomplished musically . Yes Noel Gallagher stole a lot of the Oasis music & the song you mention came after this song . In 2004 when we went on the UK leg of You are the quarry tour Jesse Tobias joined the band my favourite musician to work with him. Jesse and the band who joined by 2014 & the album World peace is none of your business album/tour I agree with Boz Morrisseys musical director offer a broadening of the sound& since then have come the best albums but they are all excellent & worth losing yourself in 😊

    Glad u liked. Although: All Around The World was written a couple years before this was released (there's footage of Oasis playing it in '92). Also: Moz wasn't a fan of The Doors. There's an interview on YT with him and Marr where Moz is tearing into them for "not even having hit singles" with Marr looking mildly uncomfortable.

  • @Emburbujada

    This is one my favourite Morrissey songs =) It would fit nicely in a playlist alongside Every Breath you Take by The Police, and I Will Possess your Heart by Death Cab for Cutie XD
    Have you heard Girl Least Likely to, yet?

  • @chrisfenton3123
    @chrisfenton3123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This song is often misinterpreted. It had a lot to do with Joyce suing him and Marr for royalties to Smiths catalogue. “You’re asking for it”, “lonely high court judges”, “take the easy way and give in”, etc. And PS, a belated welcome to the world of Moz. It’s not easy, but it’s so worth it.

    Can you tell me, what he has said recently that you don't agree with politically, or are you just saying that because you think that is the right thing to say. Morrissey has always been controversial, it's just that you can't be controversial anymore, because it might offend someone.

    • @InsignificantNick

      th-cam.com/video/SK1EdWg5_1k/w-d-xo.html This video explains it best for me. I love his music and I agree with a lot of his extreme views on vegetarianism/veganism, but yeah, hints of racism and xenophobia turn me off.

    • @rosem625
      @rosem625 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@InsignificantNick I think it's best when it comes to Moz - or any one for that matter-to go straight to the source to get the full picture rather than rely on videos of clickbaity headlines. Like Morrissey has said plenty of shit I don't agree with, to put it mildly. He's too often very rash, emotional rather than cerebral and quite frankly fucking rude. However I do firmly believe that he isn't racist or xenophobic. He's just a guy who's sometimes a fucking idiot.
