11 months of investing. $47k saved, debts cleared, and a portfolio just shy of a quarter million. Taking my finances seriously this year was worth it in retrospect.

I tried investing using speculations as a newbie and lost huge sums twice before I got on Jonas W Herman’s program, a CFA is the brain behind my success. I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $11k spread across stocks (options and futures) for the short term and Roth IRA, index funds, cryptocurrency and ETFs, for the long term. I just sit back and reinvest at intervals while I handle my other businesses.

Beyond that, he’s helped me understand strategies like the long straddle and averaging down. I’m grateful to be gaining both knowledge and results all at once.

The rich are money-minded; that's a lesson I've grasped from the very beginning. My desire to build wealth has always been strong. I’ve been saving up some money since 2020, and I’m eager to invest it in the stock market to grow my financial future. is now the right moment to buy or not?

The importance of mitigating risks might be why many investors are turning to advisors for guidance.

    • @mariayslava
      @mariayslava 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

I totally agree with you. I started out investing on my own too and lost quite a bit. After the 2020 crash, I managed to pull out about $160k. I then invested that money with an analyst, and in just seven months, I made almost $280,000. It's amazing how having the right guidance can turn things around!

The market is not necessarily a rollercoaster if you know your way around the market, there are various opportunities in the present market to accrue good profit, If you are not too savvy with the market, just buy and hold on strong companies with good earnings, or consult with advisors on ETFs and actively managed funds. that’s what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 30% capital growth minus dividends.

Even though I engage in investing, I feel disheartened by my lack of expertise in assessing the performance of individual companies and determining the optimal timing for stock purchases. The erosion of my financial reserves due to inflation adds to my concerns. At this point, I require precise market trajectory information, but I find myself unsure about the appropriate course of action.

Good and solid recommendations across the board Rose. Wish I would've had someone like you back in the day, most of these I followed and continued to, allowing me to retire in my 50s only when I wanted to. The only thing I would add, and a lot of this is probably because of my Boomer status… I definitely agree that if you don't ask a lot of times you don't receive, but in regards to job performance, I never had to ask in that area because I outperformed my peers and received raises, bonuses, and promotions purely because of my overall proven worth, and being a leader in all of these companies, my performers never had to ask for anything either, obviously, not everyone is as lucky as I am to work with good people, but remember just asking isn't enough you got to be able to back it up with the real tangible actual results.

So let's say you've been paying into your hair dye appointment budget for 6 months, and now you have the $300 in your designated savings. Now it's June and you're ready to use the money, but you don't have $300 in your monthly budget. Or an emergency has come up and you need to replace a major appliance and take from your emergency savings. How do you account for it that month without messing up the other things you're tracking? I'm using Rocket and there's no clear way to do this.

Rose, would you mind talking about dividends? What does that mean? And why do people say "just invest and live off the dividends "

Thank you for making this video. I really love your strategy of anchoring. This opened my mind and inspired me to start reading more books on negotiation and the website you provided on side hustle. I really like it because I kept on thinking on my Tuesday off day, I need to start building a business become a entrepreneur but I felt so overwhelming and I don’t think I can become a profiting entrepreneur by only investing a few hours a week whereas the side hustle website inspired me to do Something without too much time invested and I can still make a small profit. I can’t wait to try that in 2025.
I love your book recommendations as well. I started and finished reading the common sense investing because you recommended it and also knowing Bogle is the inventor of index found which I am a fan of. I read this book and I think this book should be the first book on their reading list for any investors .
Your book recommendation on your money or your life is also great. I write that as well. I think it is better than the book die with zero which just encourages people to spend.
Thank you, Rose and happy New Year .

I'm 55 years old with not enough set aside for retirement at this point. I have always been curious about the market and have witnessed people who played the game right and retired early. Some claimed they started very small, but their portfolio grew over time. I do have a significant amount but I’m unsure about which strategies or approach to take in order to achieve good returns. I'm open-minded and would appreciate any help or guidance

I was once in your position. I started investing earlier this year,,, with a start of 30k. I made my first 100k USD last month. Today, I have a decent $260K nest egg. Do not give up, the right investments will change your life. I should retire soon as long as things remain this good. My only regret is not starting earlier

Diversification did it for me. I ventured into real estate crowdfunding, stocks, and the digital market. It took around 6months. I needed to approach it from a different angle. I got my answers, and its been smooth since then. My CFA has been great, clearly my best one yet. I achieved this much with His management.
What you need is a CFA who can assist you in managing your portfolio while diversifying your investments

The thing is that renting in the city in Europe where I live is very expensive and my net income covers 55-60% for rent and utilities monthly, which leaves me tight for food and transport -> into the section of wants. Renting is expensive. How other people adjust the budget with this scenario?

Doesn't it sucks that some companies only care if you are making them profit, and if you aren't, then why would they pay you more? Even though the way the company makes more is on the customers decisions.
