I have to just say that when Taylor sings it alone it just hits differently. It hits in a way that I didn't feel the first time around with the duet. I respected the song before because it was from her but it just didn't make my top list but now it's definitely going on my top list. Taylor just has a way of making me go into another world where it's just her voice and instruments and I'm entranced. She is a legend and I love everything about her and always will.

Sugarland sang most of the song while Taylor sang backup vocals and the bridge while she also wrote the song and then they sang together on the chorus.. I call that a duet.. maybe it's not the right word for it but to me yea it's a duet.

I listen to both versions equally. Sugarland's version has this raw country-rock production and Jennifer's vocals is just really strong, then you have this version who has rich and lush orchestra-like production and Taylors vocals are just enough to cut through it.
