I saw the Snowbirds here in Tennessee last year. Their show is not just amazing but beautiful as well. And they are really nice guys and will talk to anyone after the show. A CLASS act all the way
Was at the show on Saturday but missed the arrivals Thursday and Friday. This video made up for it and Im looking forward to a departures video hopefully.
Thanks for posting this. The A-10 is my favorite aircraft. It has saved many ground troops, knocked out an immense number of real targets and can take a beating. The statistics on it's performance for firepower are jaw dropping. For instance, if the GAU-8 could continuously fire, the plane would drop out of the sky because of lacking enough power to overcome the gun. They fly over my house when flying sorties from the Glenn L. Martin airport in Chase, MD, USA. When I can get outside soon enough, I stand at attention and salute the pilots. They never see me, I do it for respect. Always a lead and a wingman.
@@ErnestGutschikAviation It's not glamorous and the air force has been trying to get rid of it for years. They want to put the money into a "real" fighter. The upgrades and the new wings were forced on them.
Hey Ernest, I was out there Thursday late afternoon till around 5:30pm I didn't see anything. Then went back out Friday for arrivals with my Dad and wife around 4 pm, as soon as we parked an F-16 buzzed around, then the old birds went up for practice, Vampy Too, Black Knight? and Red Knight? Then after a long delay, Hornet 1 and Red knight? took off as ominous black clouds descended over the area, just then, where we were, someone drove by and said the show was cancelled, I confirmed, and we left as my wife wasn't feeling well. Did all these aircraft come in the morning on the Friday, or?? I did some scouting Thursday afternoon, and only saw an F-15, an ANG KC-135, and possibly some Snowbirds on the tarmac. Needless to say I was pissed when I found out the Friday "show" was cancelled. I'm baffled by how I missed all these arrivals! The last couple of years, the arrivals in conjunction with the Friday " show" has been amazing! Damn weather!!! I was at home today, in St. Thomas and around 3:20ish pm we had what looked like 2 F-16's in a holding area over us, made tons of noise and kept circling like waiting for the call to come to the show. Can you confirm? Also, thanks for the uploads Bro!, always appreciated!! Btw, were some of those arrivals shot by Creamery Road? It looked kinda familiar, LOL
Hey! Sorry to hear that you missed out on most of the arrivals. That period that you were out Thursday was probably right when there was a gap of arrivals. For a few hours, nothing came at all. They were kinda spaced out more than last year. Arrivals were on Thursday from 9am to the last one being around 9:30pm. Friday had a few arrivals coming too but the 16 was the last one in due to the storm coming in. All the shots were from Robins Hill and on base at the airport on Friday. Creamery is where I shot the departures and that video will be up in a few days.
Went Saturday to the show. Great weather. I went back after 35 years from my last visit when I was 15 and my father took me. Imagine that no selfies back then just an instant Polariod. This time I brought my camera gear as my girls were not interested. Just as I remember it when I was a teen. Great atmosphere - good food excellent show. Too bad the F15 did not put on a show. Going back next year for sure. I watched your 2018 video and inspired me to go and check it out. Thanks for posting.
