I agree that the beige is wasted space. I think they should have added a nice dark plum shade instead. I ended up getting the preorder for April and I can't wait to get it! I had to have this palette even though I've never tried Menagerie before because I love purple eyeshadows and bats are my favorite animal (even the "ugly" ones). I also completely agree that bats are adorable!
a year or two ago i would have rushed to get this palette no doubt. but my expectations for a palette are way more nuanced now and my singles collection is at a point where i can put together everything myself, so i barely buy palettes anymore and just appreciate their beauty from the far. its astonishing how your preferences can change, i used to be all about palettes, had hundreds of them and now i decluttered the majority and just enjoy my singles. beautiful swatches and look amy! the artwork on this palette is amazing tho!
@@cowags oh no!!! They even said they were going to have more this time because they got their machines but we keep running into the same problem. I don't want to write them off but I am starting to feel like I am never going to get anything from them because it sells out so fast.
Mine literally just hit my mailbox and I am gob smacked by the quality. Sure, I would have loved a deeper purple matte, but Flighty is deeper than it looks in the pan, and both the mattes and the shimmers are incredibl, silky smooth and luminous in their intensity. I am most pleased with my purchase!
I totally agree that the cream shade is a waste of space, but I still think the palette looks beautiful! I can never have too much purple in my life. 💜 I would love to see more looks with this!! 🌻
As a self confessed purple addict, I am in for any and all purple related videos!!! Im furious at myself that when I ordered the Flight Club palette, I didn't realize Violet Ink was available because I didn't scroll far down enough, but did order 3 of the singles that I saw available, so I'm half happy! It's way too stressful trying for these in demand releases lately! If you want it and don't get it, you'll only have a chance to purchase for quadruple price on Mercari.

I would love a 3 looks video. I was thinking about swapping a couple of colors out to make it a more complete palette (if I'm able to get it when it restocks)
I was soooo disappointed in the menagerie palette. If they exchanged even 2 of those ashy, neutral shades for a deep dark plum color and a bright neon green, I would've bought it in a heartbeat. There were so many people in the comments of their Instagram post of all shade ranges expressing disappointment with those unnecessary neutral shades that won't show up on deeper skin. I am not interested in buying 3-4 more colors and exchanging them out and paying more when I feel like they didn't need to put those type of shades in there to begin with especially since it made the palette more boring in my opinion but it is really pretty!
There were a lot of suggestions floating around on which adjustments would make this palette better, and yours is by far the most compelling!! A neon green would really make this sing, and could even allude to bats being nocturnal and using sonar! I personally still wouldn’t buy this, as I don’t like warm purples on myself, but it certainly would have been more tempting.

A bright green would be perfect in this palette!!! The color story was a little disappointing, but I love bats and purple, and know that their pans are easily switched, so I got it. I think it would be fun to see how different people customize this palette, as a lot have expressed that they wanted different shades.
@@beautifuldreamer0811 I wouldn't have minded if it was 1 or 2 shades but there's at least 4 unusable shades for my skintone that I'm forced to pay for and then replace. I would've had to throw them in the trash. Huge waste of money. I was so sad. Oh well!

Yes to updated purple battle! Could you include the bperfect carnival III palette? I know it's more of a rainbow palette but the right hand part is like a 15-pan monochromatic purple palette (whose shades look pretty similar to the menagerie) 💜

I love purples, they are my absolute favourite. I am glad there are no glitters, not that they have included before, but just saying. I agree - I wish the cream colour was something else, perhaps a deep dark plum purple matte instead. I also wish there was a deep dark chocolate brown matte. It's nice they included a mix of formulas. I have bought from Menagerie and enjoy their products, and the packaging. Super cute. I may pick this up in the future but I am basically on a no-buy this year. Please do another palette battle ♡

Great, video, Amy :-) When you first sneak peeked the picture on the front a while back I thought this might be my first purchase from Menagerie. But once they release the color story it was a definite NO, I was so sad! The front is adorable and I wish they had pulled in a bit of the green or yellow, perhaps even a pale shimmer of one of those to give a different inner corner option. And totally agree about a darker matte. The pale neutral would do nothing for me, LOL, but "After Dark" was a pleasant surprise!
I was on the website when it launched and by the time I got to checkout March pre-order was gone, but was able to get the April pre-order.. So excited to see how this palette performs and can not wait to get!

Very interested just because it's purple. Love the theme. So many people like pinkish/red based purples to blend. Pink/red based shadows make me look ill. LOL, can't please everybody. That is impossible ✌. We have similar hair colors and skin tones except I am alot more pink than you. Your swatches are really helpful for me.
I thought from the promo pic that bone colored matte was more soft yellow like a soft butter. That would have been way more interesting 🤔. I'm not sure why the dark purple matte isn't deeper.

It can definitely be a challenge to buy from indie brands. Which is why I’m so glad many are doing pre orders these days. The constant anxiety about getting on the site immediately and trying to check out, only to have it be sold out by the time you hit enter was a common complaint from many of us. Definitely follow them on ig and sign up for email notices if you haven’t already. Even if you have to buy it on preorder and wait a couple months to get it is better than having to deal with the anxiety of the always being sold out problem. Hope that helps. 😊

I'm watching this on my Sunday morning and your personality, mood is perfect while I drink my coffee. I know being a monochromatic palette the looks will be purple no matter what, however the shades do look very similar so wondering how the different looks will turn out. I probably get it later since it is still gorgeous and I love their packaging. I have some of their singles and palettes which I dont mind. I do think their metallics can make my lids look more wrinkled but this formula may be different as you mentioned.

I'd say that pinky purple shade looks like more of an Orchid to me :) pinky purples are usually called Orchid ime

I would love to see some comparisons with your single shadows (Devinah, Clionadh, Terra Moons, Sydney Grace, Give Me Glow maybe) to see if it is possible to dupe this palette. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏼 that you might do a video I’m the future with the ND Circo Loco palette. The purples there are beautiful and I’d love to see if you could dupe them. You and Karen Harris have the best indie single shadow collections!
I was wondering if you have ever heard of or shopped from a site called “camera ready cosmetics”. They are apparently a U.S. based company that offer brands like lethal cosmetics that I want to try. I have never heard of the site before though, and don’t know if it can be trusted.
