It might be with no I'll intention but it's still creepy when people come from far away to visit a certain person. Be it a stranger or a friend (it's less bad with friends), it's better to talk about meeting up than just randomly appearing
I remember being so weirded out by furries a decade back, it almost always seemed like just this odd sexual kink to me as a kid. But I think with James and Anthony, I've come to view them more positively. If someone told me they're a furry, I'd just go, "sounds expensive"
Let me put this like a coin,is just luck when you enter a place where are furries because you can enter a chat where are furries like the ones in that furry convention that nobody need to remember that are horrible and toxic and literally zoophi people and the others like me that just love being in the fursuits and draw furry knights (like me)
Same here. Your comment also reminds me of high-school. Back then I dressed goth. I still love the style but eventually I had bills to pay and shit to do. It took too long to goth doll up and accessories and pants were expensive. Now it's just jeans, t-shirt, hair in pony tail, no time for makeup. Hell, I probably need to check expiration dates lol
Glad you changed so well, saying this now though for people who decide to look through, I'm a furry and asexual, which incase people don't know means I don't have sexual attractions.
Being 18, gay from the UK, and with my family quite involved with the Mormon church - there’s certain things no one understands so I am thankful for you talking about it. I often spent my time in lessons and sacrament drawing because I tried to zone it out - and it caused me derealisation and bad mental health later on in life. Growing up Mormon and coming out of the “brainwashing”, I completely understand everything you have been saying. I was always grateful for growing up, but I often describe it as living up in a separate world. I have the same exact answers you have about it so it reassures my life. My opinions were often based on what everyone else said growing up, but eventually I started to develop my own opinion.
I'm sorry you had to deal with what you had to deal with. It is one of the biggest struggles for the LGBTQ + community to feel excepted in the church because of all of the doctrine. Just know that God loves you no matter what!
God gave you agency so that you could make decisions like that. just because we aren't fully supporting LGBTQ doesn't mean that you're not worthy, or that God doesn't love you. Best wishes to you.
Just for anyone else who reads this, Mormons/LDS aren’t against people being gay, but they don’t approve of gay sex or marriage. They fully believe in including the LGBTQ community in everything they do though
James is so genuine i love him. it's true there are a lot of misunderstandings on text. and I've been watching TH-cam for like 10 years, guess i have 5 left
Your videos are so good Anthony! I wish you could interview people from other communities with the help of a translator, like the big Spanish streamers and such, thanks for the cool content
As someone who is also no longer mormon, i confidently say that mormons are either some of the best people or worst people. They are either some of the most accepting, friendly, and caring people, or are either the most judgemental, hateful, and prideful people. There is hardly an inbetween in my experience, so if you meet a mormon, hope they are more accepting/kind
Would you ever consider doing homeless/ child neglect and abuse survivors? I was abused, neglected, and homeless at 16, now being 19 there isn't a lot of awareness for the issue. The amount of people I've met that had similar backgrounds to what I did is so disheartening. I hope creators like you, and many others can help bring light to this topic that is sadly gone so unnoticed.
I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS MORMON it makes sense tho. Us Ex-LDS ppl can spot each other a mile away. The phrasing he uses in this video is so familier and it's so weird hearing someone talk about it. (I'm also pretty sure Shgrr is ex-LDS too)
I started watching James when I was 12 back in 2016 and I always wanted to make story time videos like him. This interest stuck with me now in my senior year of high school and it’s all because of him :)

After knowing of James and being a fan of him for at least 3 years, you have no idea the feeling I had having him almost straight out admit he was a furry. I'm not sure I can even describe the feeling. What the Hell
I don’t have a twitter so I wasn’t aware of what James said about using “/s”, and I’ve never seen that used before so I didn’t even know about it. But I’m glad James made an effort to apologize for being unintentionally ableist, coming from a neurodivergent person. It’s good to hear famous people who we look up to and relate to genuinely addressing and seeking to correct their mistakes.

🤣 Oof
Dude, Anthony is nice and caring during these interviews it’s awesome
Loved the first one with James, so excited to see more of him!
I would love to see a video where Anthony sits on the other side and gets enterviewd by someone he trusts and talks about his life and struggles. We are all curious by nature, and we love to see your compassion with everyone and would love to hear your evolution in a a video format like yours :)
Having also grown up in a religious bubble, popping it and learning about other worldviews is life changing. I empathize even more with James & other folks in the same boat
I know about many other religions. I just believe in “Mormonism” only. I have never felt like I was in a bubble. It has just always felt right
23:58 Nowadays if you find this video again you’d know he’s making a Netflix show
This is kinda a sequel to “I spent a day with animators”
technically it’s the third one, he already did an “i spent a day with jaiden animations”
but yes
now we just need an 'i spent a day with somethingelseyt' and an 'i spent a day with illymation' haha
@Parking_lot182 I was typing fast lol
As someone who grew up mormon, I knew james grew up mormon pretty quickly into discovering his content. Very cool to hear him speak about it.
It might be with no I'll intention but it's still creepy when people come from far away to visit a certain person. Be it a stranger or a friend (it's less bad with friends), it's better to talk about meeting up than just randomly appearing
24:08 Is it the crocodile from Life is fun?
I remember being so weirded out by furries a decade back, it almost always seemed like just this odd sexual kink to me as a kid.
But I think with James and Anthony, I've come to view them more positively. If someone told me they're a furry, I'd just go, "sounds expensive"
Let me put this like a coin,is just luck when you enter a place where are furries because you can enter a chat where are furries like the ones in that furry convention that nobody need to remember that are horrible and toxic and literally zoophi people and the others like me that just love being in the fursuits and draw furry knights (like me)
yeah, there are a lot of misconceptions about the fandom, so it was really nice to see them talking so openly and positively about it :)
Believe me, it is expensive
James is so genuine i love him. it's true there are a lot of misunderstandings on text. and I've been watching TH-cam for like 10 years, guess i have 5 left
rewatching this right after his netflix show was announced!!! so proud of you james!!!

As a member of the church, I can confirm that is true..
As a member, I agree. It sucks that people behave that way, but no matter where, who, or what religion, there is always gonna be sucky people *sigh*
As another member I can somewhat agree. I believe what I believe. Some things are a bit pushy but they are great people.
as is with every religion

Would you ever consider doing homeless/ child neglect and abuse survivors? I was abused, neglected, and homeless at 16, now being 19 there isn't a lot of awareness for the issue. The first channel that got me hooked on the Animator community 5 years back. James has been my favorite TH-cam animator ever since. Love TheOdd1sOut!

Us Ex-LDS ppl can spot each other a mile away.
The phrasing he uses in this video is so familier and it's so weird hearing someone talk about it.
(I'm also pretty sure Shgrr is ex-LDS too)
Kudos to the person fixing Anthony ' s ceiling everytime! !
I started watching James when I was 12 back in 2016 and I always wanted to make story time videos like him. This interest stuck with me now in my senior year of high school and it’s all because of him :)
Lol I have the exact same story, I started in 2016 when I was 12 and now I’m a high school senior
James is one of my favorite creators on this platform. He’s super funny and chill and seems like a great dude. He’s grown so much and his content has only gotten better. Cant wait to see what this special project is about 👀
Looking back this is one of the best interviews on the channel. The questions were new and interesting and personal and it was super fun to watch
this is one of those videos that genuinely made me laugh out loud, james is such a kind person and he understands his fanbase so well. i’ve met him at 2017, 2018 and 2019 vidcon aus and he does everything he can to make fans days:)

After knowing of James and being a fan of him for at least 3 years, you have no idea the feeling I had having him almost straight out admit he was a furry. I'm not sure I can even describe the feeling. What the Hell

@@Pinedirt_ Oh no it's not a bad thing at all, just funny that he finally admitted it
Aw, I'm so happy to hear James talk about his mom. My mom is the same way and it makes me feel less crazy. Haha
I would honestly love to be interviewed by Anthony.. it just looks like such a wonderful time and I'm a huge fan! :)
Thank you Anthony for being so humble to people and their experiences!
I still remember around when I found his content when I was in like 4th or 5th grade (I'm in 10th grade now) and I tried to follow his art style. Stopped after a day and just left it to him lmao. but it's been cool to watch his channel develop into the massive thing it is today. I still have the toy from his limited edition first drop with the signed card, don't know what happened to the cards but I had got his and Jaidens.

im calling bs on James's "disguise". Theres no way you spend $2000 from a reputable fursuit maker all the way in Australia just for a "disguise".
