I'm so glad the black ewe adopted the lamb after such a difficult labor and losing her own twins. Mama deserved a lamb to love on and the lamb now has a mom. The little lamb with the tendon issue was such a brave little critter. God bless vet wrap, it has always been such a help for all my critters from cats to Shelties to equines. Thank you for being so dedicated to your sheep!

I am so thrilled to see such tender loving care you give all your babies and mamas. I see how hard you try to hold on when something goes wrong and you lose one in order to be strong to deal with the next problem. Kind of exactly how I as a nurse deal with human cases. I can see the love you are giving these animals all over you. Tears in my eyes for the sadness right along with you and it's actually months later. I know in my head but my heart doesn't.
Always wonderful watching you try your hardest to heal your baby lambs, makes my heart melt seeing how much you care for your sheep. I remember last year baby who you couldn't save my heart broke when you had to put her down.

I've been a pet sitter for many years and in the past would be up and going by 5:00 and not finish my day until 10:00. What really helped me were 15 minute naps. You don't get that dopey feeling with a quick nap. As an added benefit, the pets love it when you have them on your lap and doze off for awhile. It makes them trust you all the more.
I can't believe you're still on your feet and thankful that you have someone your comfortable with. It's interesting to note that your sheep have the same feelings about you. It's also interesting how you put the dead lamb down with as much care and love as a live one. Take care

Sheep are so mild tempered. And you are the best surrogate mom. As I have said before , this is what it's all about whether it's getting a crop harvested or the start of a new herd. Farming is never boring.

I am guessing that last ewe got so familiar because you smelled of new lambs! Plus - I do think that while you are still human to them, they do see you as the source of all food, warm bedding and rescue when needed. That must put you way above all other humans!
Some of your sheep are just beautiful. Ones with the pink noses and pink on their faces with big eyes are my favorites. Although. The red ones are a close second with the with the paints running a tight third. Just get me one of each please. I wished. Thank you for this video. So many i have not seen yet. God bless
sheep themselves dont smell that bad (i kept one pretty much as a pet for about a month, helping out a farmer relative). we used some dog shampoo the day we got her and she smelled just fine for the next 3-4 weeks. honestly way better than any dog ive met. that said the situations different when youre getting poop and vaginal fluids on you, lmao.
I haven't been attending in any lambing, but worked at a sheep farm. I don't sheep smell half as bad as cows. Now working at a dairy farm... that smell will stick to your hair and skin. And it will not lift off easily. I think it smelled much like a horse stable at the sheep farm, though there is a bit more poo. Still overall not a bad smell imo. Cows are adorable as well, but I would not get any.
I just read someone wrote you were almost at 1k subs? Was that right for 2 months ago Sandi... if so, today at 143k at end of March.... OMG incredible!

Number 82 mamma sleeping was soooo cute. I just want to use a sheep as my pillow. I love them so much
