  • This trail ride was recorded on May 27, 2022. We are trying something new, this is almost a turn by turn virtual trail ride. If you can’t make it to the trail, or just wanted to see what the trail is really like, this is the video for you.
We are super excited to finally go on one of the many famous off road trails in Moab, Utah. Fins and Things is a 10-mile, mostly one way trail that is located inside the Sand Flats Recreation Area. It is also a Jeep Badge of Honor Trail!
To enter the Sand Flats Recreation Area, you have the option to purchase a 1 day pass for $5.00 or a 7 day pass for $10.00. If you come here more than once a year, there is also an annual pass for $25.00.
We have a 2021 JL Unlimited Rubicon, so sway bar disconnects, dual lockers. And at this stage in the build we are running 3.5" MetalCloak Game-Changer, Teraflex Falcon SP2 3.3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Shocks and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak mud terrains on 17” KMC KM544 Mesa rims.
We have only been owning the Jeep and offroading for just over a year when this video was filmed, so you can see how cautious we were and took it slow and steady, most of the time.
Our good friend Scott is driving his daily driver, a 2018 JK Unlimited Sahara, with no lockers. A 2.5” leveling kit, 35-inch Ironman mud terrains on 20” Raceline rims.
We think you might be interested in these specs, to see how our rigs handle the terrain and obstacles differently on this trail. Both are our daily drivers.
So, if you are thinking or wondering about your rig being capable of doing this trail, these 2 rigs and specs will sort of help you gauge that.

Two things. One, someone is bound to call someone else a chicken 💩at some point on the trail.(That had me laughing for a few minutes)🤣Two,If you don't brag about your rig, who will? Great video guys!

Good video. I just ran this on my 2 door JL sport 2.5 inch RC lift on 33’s. The descents were definitely more technical than the climbs but all in all fun trail.

Nice! It sure is a fun trail, especially as an introductory trail to what Moab has to offer. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

It was the "chickenshit" comment that made me subscribe, just keeping it real.
