Thanks for the call-out! I honestly wasn't sure whether to include the text or not I'll def consider removing for future vids My old vids without the text didn't perform well LOL
So, basically what I get from this video and it seems to confirm how I feel like I would feel, is that if you can jump right back into breath of the wild after beating it a few times and it doesn't change your feelings, then this game is going to be pretty amazing, but if you want a sequel to feel different in the way that a sequel usually feels, you're probably going to be let down. I'm in the latter camp. I'm still pissed that they want to charge $70 for this when 85% of the game is Just carried over from breath of the Wild. The new features look cool but I don't know if they justify paying almost $100 for. They really should have just made a humongous expansion DLC file that we could pay like $39 for, because this doesn't look justifiably worth $70, to buy a game that graphically looks and plays like breath of the wild. I wonder how many people are playing it right now that are praising it as some non derivative sequel, but it's just to keep from feeling a sense of buyer's remorse for paying 70 bucks for it 🤔
All the reviews that were released today were from people that got a *free* review copy, I would imagine scores from people that buy the game for $70 are going to be lower I'm actually pretty surprised about everyone's raving perfect 10s In my opinion, yes breath of the wild changed the formula and the gaming scene forever, this game adds to it and makes improvements, brand new story, updated map, new abilities, but doesn't change the formula, the formula is exactly the same Not saying it's a bad thing, I loved BOTW, but yes this is just more of that and basically getting to experience it again
@@voidheartgamers but that's what I'm saying. They're looking at this the same way they looked at breath of the wild, because that's what the game pretty much just is all over again. I don't know. I don't think in good conscience I could spend more than half the amount they're asking for for this game. The gameplay clips are virtually indecipherable from breath of the wild and in my opinion that's not really a selling point.
I agree, reviewers are out of touch when it comes to anything related to money since they are gifted everything + make a ton off TH-cam It's a great game to be sure, but yes it's indistinguishable graphically and gameplay wise (aside from new/different abilities), I don't think it deserves a solid 10 because it's not unique/new Yes the abilities are new, and ultrahand is super cool, but to give a solid 10 for swapping abilities and new story is strange
Exactly cause this isn't even a squeal it's just a different verison of the same game. So much of the story and character almost act like botw didn't happen.
@@voidheartgamers Are you going to make a video about how much Diablo 4 sucks? Because that's a game that has almost zero innovation. Gamers waited a decade for it, and all they did was improve the visuals and make the game world a little larger.
I definitely appreciate that you're giving what feels like a very fair critique of the game and not a bias one that over-steers one way or the other. So many want to bash a game the moment they find something they didn't like about it. Even though you had some points that you considered bad, you didn't just take the bad and let it overshadow what you liked about the game like so many other do. Even some that give the game mid reviews so far have felt like it was all done for clicks. I also like that your rating system is play, backlog, or not worth it! I honestly feel like this is a much better system than a number that is suppose to represent a complex review where the number feels arbitrary.
Thank You So Much!! Yeah I was trying to be as unbiased and fair as possible, I definitely think it's a must play game and a ton of fun, but I also wanted to call out any potential negatives others may see/what I felt
Thank you. This is the only review so far that seems fair. I was afraid when I started reading rumors in various comment sections describing this as, "BOTW...again," and you have kind of confirmed that. Which may or may not be bad. BUT I will finish "Octopath Traveler 2," first before making a decision.
I agree with this review 100% The sky islands and underground could have used more, at least a town. You can explore them, but in my experience exploring usually means going somewhere that looks like it’ll have something cool, then being disappointed that it’s just empty. I like the basic new enemies like Horriblin, but the constructs feel too familiar. Even their aesthetic feels the same beyond being robots. But most of all after those 4 points showed up on the map for the main story I lost so much excitement realizing it’s literally breath of the wild again. Shrines are the same, koroks are the same, towers are the same, the story missions are basically the same but reimagined. And then each dungeon follows the same formula, and even plays the same repetitive cut scene after beating the boss each time. The best part of the game is side missions by far, and everything else in it is amazing, just too repetitive. If BoTW didn’t exist then this would be a 10/10, but if you’ve played one then the other will feel redundant.
I'm surprised everyone was raving about the "dungeons" and the underground It's basically divine beasts 2.0, yes they made improvements but it's still effectively the same
@@voidheartgamers exactly, they didn’t feel as lengthy or creative as a classic Zelda game. All the reviews we’re seeing right now are the breath of the wild super fans who are playing it day one, or got it early. I’m sure in a few months when we see reviews from the people who waited to play it they’ll show a more realistic look at the game.
I cant believe this took them 6 years to make. It doesn’t make sense. Your comment perfectly captures how I feel. For the first day and a half I was extremely excited with all the new stuff on display. But then, once you get into the flow of things, it’s literally the same exact game as BOTW. Underworld is empty, sky islands are few and far between with not a whole lot to do or see. And you’ve got your 4 points on the map for each tribe you need to help. I put the game down because I’m getting so bored, it’s honestly heartbreaking. I’m a huge Zelda fan and this feels like a letdown.
So they doubled down on all the shitty stuff from BotW and didn't address any of the missing elements from classic Zelda? Hard pass. I grew to appreciate BotW in time and through much pain, but it's not Zelda... I have no interest in continuing to play this series if it continues down this new path so dogmatically opposed to its roots
@@Lucrei. It's a ground up remake though. It was a bit too close to the original for my taste but I doubt that they will make every Zelda from now on open world.
This is probably going to be the longest comment I have typed about this game. I have played 30 hours so far, finished 1 dungeon, seen all of the new memories, have the master sword, and completed 52 shrines. I have been enjoying the game more as I play but still just feel like it is a fine game. This probably stems from how much BotW I have played but I still just find the game good. Good, not extraordinary or even great. For my actual issues, fuse and ultrahand are up first. Fuse sounded cool in concept but has such a mixed execution. Nerfing all the weapons just to make me fuse to get them to their original power or slightly higher I find to just be tedious. I would rather just pick the weapons up like in BotW at that point. I think the combinations are quite cool when putting the Zonai devices on but they aren’t always practical, and the practical weapons are the issue. When it comes to the arrows, again I like the idea but scrolling through the entire list of materials every time I want to fuse is frustrating, and yes you can sort the materials but it doesn’t help that much. Ultrahand was something I was never that interested in. I knew I would mainly enjoy seeing what other people make, but I was still frustrated with it. I find so slow to use but I guess it is kind if better than a boring crafting system. Still, it really kills the pace of exploration for me. While I may not like those 2, I love recall and especially ascend. Both match the simple yet extremely versatile nature of the runes in BotW and I have think they are the best additions to the game. Now when it comes to dungeons, yeah they work mostly similar to the divine beasts, but the unique theming plus the build up to the dungeon feeling more like part of it than being 30 minutes apart did a lot for me. Don’t get me wrong, it is a step up from BotW but still not as engaging as dungeons from older titles. I did however absolutely love the major boss I have fought so far, I was smiling ear to ear throughout the encounter. When it comes to the underground, I think it is tense to explore and offers something quite unique. I have only spent 2 or 3 hours down there so far but I feel like with most other activities it will get boring after a bit because there is just too much. So far I do like he undergound a lot though. As for the cave, I did 5 of them and am already bored of them. I was so tired of caves by the time I got to the end of a 76 hour playthrough of Elden Ring, I don’t need another game with 100 more of them. I was really disappointed after I finished the tutorial and realized that was going to be BotW but again, and with even more repetitive things to do. A lot of the same issues from BotW have carried over with some fixed but some other thing to take their place. A lot of the fun for me in BotW was the beautiful locations in the game, and while it has been nice to see how the map has changed, I already explored every inch of it once. I don’t need to do it again but with 120 more shrines and 900 new koroks (assuming the numbers stayed the same). I have quite enjoyed the story but I think that is all I will really be doing with this game. I loved BotW a whole, and if you never played it you will probably love this game, because it is still good. My biggest issue is the same one I *personally* had with Twilight Princess, it feels like a game I played 6 years ago, and while I loved that game, I didn’t need another version of it. Thanks if you actually read all of this, it was quite long and this is just my opinion. I know I am probably in a minority on this game but this is honestly how I feel about it. Also, enjoyed the video it was nice to finally see one that wasn’t just calling this bigger and better than BotW.
Disappointed. Wasted $70. Dont make open world games that are just vast empty stretches of land. Its all the same stuff from botw. I endured that game just because it was a zelda game but i dont think ill continue playing this one anymore.
I think this game will be more appreciated by the people who are a bit more on the creative side. I think people who just want to run through it and approach the game in a pragmatic way wont be too impressed unless theyre a game designer.
I feel the reviewer isn’t seeing the real joy of the game it’s the creativity in this I’ve had a blast areas look completely new I feel like they are going at the game like a normal game creativity is insane in this game when you make I saw someone make a airship with lasers on it that are homing you can make a catapult a flying ship a car that has a flying ships attached to it a bomb strapped plane and so much more. If you have enough materials you could make a mech
Good video amd review. The text is a good idea, but I agree that it could be delivered in a less jarring way, which is just a constructive criticism amd not a complaint. Good job and thank you!😊
Considering this game took 5 years to develop. I'm thoroughly unimpressed with what TOTK offers. The main point criticism they could have fixed is the lack of any classic Zelda formula features like character power progression but they didn't even do that. Also appears this game makes BOTW redundant which is the worst thing a zelda sequel could do. Ocarina and Majora still represent such different experiences that both justify their existence. Tears doesn't do that which is a shame.
@@voidheartgamers i would disagree because what makes botw different is all of the bugs and glitches that were removed in totk. windbombs, stasis launches and more jusr made botw its own legendary game. but yes, it does mostly make it redundant
@@HazeInutt I definitely miss the windbombs and I felt like stasis broke the game so much in BOTW, it was actually faster to travel in BOTW because of stasis LOL
One of the best things about the franchise is the lack of levels and stats. Thank god. Those things only break immersion and make a game feel more like a grind.
It is, but its also heavily one sided. If you're going to do a good review, you should also give credit where credit is due. Even "the good" section in this vid are mostly backhanded compliments. No praise for the QOL additions, the new score, improved animations, etc.
@@blastofo the improvements aren’t enough for me rn to even worth mentioning. The disappointments far outweigh the minuscule improvements imo. Im pretty underwhelmed so far and i was so hyped because i loved botw. This has a very been there done that feeling to it. Hurts me to say it
@@blastofo I literally mentioned all the good you said LOL I said music was good, and that the abilities make traversal more exciting and that exploration is fresh because of the new abilities. I also said story was more focal, difficulty increased (good or bad depending on person) I lowkey could have been more critical and talked about cooking, everything being super menu heavy, combat not changing much (it was implied heavily though) the review was just getting long from a no name TH-cam channel lol 😂 Tried being as fair as possible, but yes I'm constantly trying to improve so would love constructive criticism!
@@GeorgeZimmermen How far into the game are you? I thought botw was pretty average until I was 30 hours in and was experiencing everything the game had to offer. Unless you've played this game nonstop I doubt you've even done the first dungeon.
I agree with most everything you said but my overall opinion of the game is very different. I’m over 20 hours in and I haven’t had any fun. I got to a temple “don’t wanna give spoilers here” but I got to the boss only to find out I need arrows to beat it. I only had 4 arrows left since there were no arrows to collect through the whole temple. I had to literally leave the battle to go and collect more arrows to go back to the boss fight I had to abandon. I uninstalled the game at that point
This is a good game but it is NOT a 10/10 let's be real here. This game has gotten considerable praise but I have some criticism. 1 They could use a load-out feature for the armour so you could cycle through your 3 top mostly used armour sets fast and not have to keep selecting 3 pieces individually, it's cumbersome after playing for 200+ hours. OR They could have you select a helmet with the A button to select it individually or the X button for Link to put on the full set according to what you have collected. 2 The recipe cards should allow you to make multiple meals at a cooking point as long as you have the materials, so you don't have to watch that boring animation over and over again for 300+ hours. The game is way too big for inconsideration like this. The recipe cards could also be used to allow you to tweak the ratios of ingredients for different potency. They could have done so much with this. 3 The crouch button on the left stick you use for moving about is a death trap and often gets you killed by link crouching when you are trying to run, MANY PPL DIE BECAUSE OF THIS. IT DESPERATELY NEEDS A BUTTON CONFIG. They could have made the whistle an item and used the now free-down direction on the D-PAD for crouching. 4 The weapons NEED A DAM DURABILITY GAUGE! SERIOUSLY 5 Weapons break too DAM FAST. Instead of making the Royal Knight armour/some armour completely useless, they could have made it dbl or even triple weapon durability. 6 Some may not agree but I feel that the enemies spot you too easily in stealth mode (crouching) from far away. but this is not that important as there are tons of ways to kill. Stealth kills would have been a nice touch for the Sheikah armour. 7 The areas where you are supposed to collect certain items after a long time travelling could be a bit more generous with the desired items hence why many ppl stopped playing or don't play as much after they patched the DUPE GLITCH. It would seriously help if Link had a harvesting/mining armour that has a wider range for collecting parts with maybe a 1.5 bonus multiplier and triple durability for hammers and axes obviously the Armour wouldn't be able to take a punch so it won't be good for battle. 8 You should be able to customise the items in the order you like on the items menu rather than the 3 options they give you, again, the game is too big for inconsideration like this. 9 The Horse riding, while good, is not great. The horse gets trapped easily on rocky terrain. You have to play Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 to understand how riding a horse could be serious fun. 10 They are really tight with the rupees in this game man. I know you can sell parts but in Breath of the Wild, you Never needed monster parts as much as you do in this game. 11 Story is good but not great. C'mon man seriously. Blood moon blah blah blah it's the same SH*T as last time. Can't Zelda show Link some more affection maybe hidden feelings of love instead of knight-zoning the dude all the time? It would add some much-needed excitement to the story perhaps a love triangle with a Gerudo Princess the Zora Princess and Zelda. It's almost like Link is helping his sister it GETS BORING! They literally respond to each other like 8 years olds in terms of romance. NINTENDO is making Link look like a dam Eunuch that protects Zelda. Yu have to understand in the direction this game is going its going more towards an adult audience. Make it make sense man 12 An amour that allows Link to run faster in the day and NOT just the night, it's actually pointless why they did it this way. 13 The horses are more or less useless after you start building vehicles. How about after building up a significant affinity with horses letting them come into battle to protect their beloved master by adding 2 kicks in Link's favour. lol. Training horses up and breeding them many times for the perfect horse, while just an idea would have been a nice touch. learning different whistles to command your horse to come to get you and automatically throw you on his back or run to a safe place is a good idea. Even letting the horse later in the game get a saddle that lets him have additional weapons slots to carry extra weapons and bows for Link would be sweet. Or even a special horse later in the game that could sniff out shrines in the same style as the wolf in twilight princess whilst you give him rare golden apples to eat. 14 A weapon repair shop would be appreciated. Or let Link buy a house and let him learn to repair his own tools by learning to repair the different types in a series of quests for village tradesmen and tradeswomen in return for skills he can only use in his home workshop. 15 It would have been nice if when you whistled your sages came to you IMMEDIATELY rather than running around aimlessly getting you killed in the process. One whistle to come close when fully charged another to just fight and another to just defend Link. 16 The fusing the arrows each time is a pain they could have you press the A button again for a ONE TIME selection or the X button for a continuous use of your selection until that part runs out or you cancel it. 17 The text boxes you've already read or scenes you've already seen should be able to be fully DISMISSED with the start. I AM FED UP WITH THE GREAT FAIRY SAYING THE SAME DAM THING. It's okay for smaller games but if you are expecting the player to play past 100+ hours it gets DAM annoying! 18 Getting many towns to grow crops for you after you do a series of quests or rescue the villages would be a great idea. also befriending miners to mine, and fishermen to fish in the same way, would be cool also. you could collect your harvest periodically and level it up through a series of side quests for faster gains. later you could find a village member on a side quest that could make arrows for you if you bring him the raw materials. 19 Link seriously needs a roll and he jumps like his boots are made out of lead. So how about an amour set that gives you additional moves for fighting. Maybe the barbarian amour could have a roll. lol 20 The Master Sword could have been done a lot better. They may have done this already but I felt like the base power and durability should increase with the amount of hearts Links collects. Getting all the hearts and stamina would let you unleash the true master swords power not that you would need that to complete the game.
I miss the old abilities. They were definitely superior. Like the wind dash ability should also be vertical. Revalis gale was the most convenient way to explore.
You coldnt make the different arrow types in BOTW. It was a pain having to go a buy the arrows needed. Now you can just raid a bunch of monster for the arrows and just make them from your inventory. Sure now you have to constantly forage for materials but now you have more insentive to forage.
And now it's a pain to go find monsters to create arrows. Breath Of The Wild had realism to it because in a real world, you would need to go find a shop that sells arrows. Now, it's just a gimmick for the sake of being gimmicky.
Nintendo understands how to incentivize players. Like how they used korok seeds to make exploration more worthwhile. You wanted to explore and get those korok seeds so you could unlock more weapon splots.
@@roberthaight9821 Its not saturated with the types of monster's needed for specialty arrows. don't you understand that? You hated fast traveling for 30 seconds to get some arrows? Youre going to despise hunting around and fighting 10+ monsters for 10+ minuets then.
Im having fun with the game and i agree with the underground. Its UNDERwhelming. Seriously should've focused more on the skylands and rebuilding Hyrule. Skydiving is really fun but going underground is just a chore. Rebuilding Hyrule wouldve been really fun. Something similar to the Tarrey Town quest in BOTW but bigger. Dark Cloud on the PS2 did a great job doing that. The Enemies are ok. They just added horns on them and called it a day. Overall the game is a 8.5. They had 6 years to develop it and they didnt add better quality of life but added more hindrances like fusing arrows every single time with an elemental. BOTW is a masterpiece in open world gaming.
The arrow mechanics is literally killing me. I was a big time arrow user in BotW, but it’s so annoying and cumbersome to keep fusing things to arrows when you’re in a big battle. Also, in BotW you could easily buy lots of arrows and stock up. Now to get all the things that he needs it because the arrows is kind of a pain and time consuming.
@@voidheartgamers idk man it seems like Nintendo has a spell over people that reduces their ability to think critically. Yes the arrow stuff is dumb. You should just be able to stock like your crafted arrows and give you the ability to do last minute fuses if you didn't come prepared.
Yeah man you should of just been able to stockpile arrows that you fuse manually and do mid fight fuses if you didn't come prepared. I thought I was crazy when i saw that it's the only way to use varied arrows. I thought I probably missed something in the tutorial but nope that's how it works. Honestly it's so dumb cuz you have soooo many monster parts that are pretty much only good for arrows at a certain point and to have to fuse them one by one is asinine.
I agree with both your comments I wish there was an easier system where I can fuse stuff like even for weapons and shields I currently have to go in the menu, hold the material, then exit, drop the material, then fuse which is even more annoying than the arrow fuses
@@voidheartgamers yes it should have just been something that you can fuse in the menu. I guess they really want you to engage with the animations they worked hard on. But again it's just dumb. This game needs a u.i expert or something and understand that not everything that is "immersive" is necessarily good game design. BOTW was already a game where you where in the menu for so long now it's worse. But again Nintendo won't hear the critique because fanboys will only sing it's praises. If we don't speak up they'll just think it's okay to keep doing it for the next game.
Good and honest review. I did anticipate that new abilities like ultra hand would seem a bit forced when all the pieces you need are just coincidentally lying nearby and that the new map sections are just more land mass with not much to offer aside from just being there. I have to disagree with one of your negatives and that’s graphics. The graphics are more polished and it looks a lot cleaner than breath of the wild. The frame rate does dip at times as well. Plus it’s correct to note that a new hardware upgrade is much needed but honestly it doesn’t go against the game as they used the tools they had and utilised them as best as the could. I’m about 4 hours in myself so still starting off but I’m not expecting to be majorly wowed just to enjoy the experience.
Thanks for the comment! Yeah the graphics aren't the games fault, I'm mainly blaming Nintendo The developers did an amazing job of making improvements and making the game playable considering the console is 7 years old
your critiques are definitely valid. I feel like I have a much higher appreciation of the game since i didnt play BOTW. Due to that, exploring and everything feels new to me even though ik a lot of it was in the previous game
Man, I guess I'm gonna have to revisit later, because I'm actually having a blast with the creativity of this game right now. I really love the weapon fuse system and i think it could give futire adventure games inspiration for a new approach to the crafting system. Attaching those bomb barrels to spears and making an exploding javeline, or using a rusty sword with certain gems to make a fireball hurdling broadsword is super fun. Although the core gameplay is the same, the new abilities recontectualize how you may want to approach your objectives. Although I will say that it is very much possible to go through it in a more traditional way too, and id that is how you do it then i will surely feel very similar to BOTW
I had to turn this off because the flashing subtitles at the bottom were way too large, abrupt, and distracting. They also somehow seemed to make the game look choppier. Not trying to be rude, just trying to let you know that the subtitles are to the point that they significantly detract from the video.
This is the best review ive seen on this game so far its very honest and un biased. I'm enjoying the game but it does feel like a $70 dlc expansion for botw.
Why does this always happen with Nintendo? They see in what particular way Gamers are having fun with their game, and say "NAAAH, now we want you to do it our way!"
@@blastofo how is it -more- freedom to have the same systems with less options? Are you Miyamoto's son? I noticed you've replied to like every single comment on here trying to defend these decisions just curious.
@@NkdSnk8 Less options? You make your own weapons and vehicles and there are countless different ways to solve puzzles. How in the world are there less options? Or that you spend more time in menus.
Interesting. I’m really excited for this game and at first was worried that not playing BOTW would be problematic, but sounds like it will make my experience better.
I personally believe your experience will be grander by not playing breath of the wild The only thing youll potentially miss out on are character cameos/reappearances, but the story is still independent. You're exploration experience will be totally new and amazing, like experiencing elden ring for the first time if you've played it If you play BOTW, it's a great game as well, but then you'll end up comparing the two and say these games are too similar (aside from the new abilities + some changes)
@@voidheartgamers well I can’t wait to try it out. Loved your review and subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to more of your content in the future!
Not playing Breath of the wild will definitely effect ur experience. One of the best parts is going to be seeing the differences around the map. Yeah people that play the game to much and put hundreds or even thousands or hours into Breath or the wild might might get board quicker. Most people aren’t doing that tho, they beat once or twice and put it down for years.
@@6ftmouse349 if they recently play BOTW, and then right afterwards play totk, they will definitely notice that the map hasn't changed much Yes there are differences, mainly because of the ability changes But all in all, they will feel like they played the same game twice with the main changes being story + changed abilities So having a grand exploration in totk which is a bigger and more expansive map is probably more refreshing But to each their own, I don't think it's wrong to not play BOTW, but I also see the benefit of playing botw especially in terms of knowing the characters more, but just know that the critiques of the game will be greater if you play BOTW If you don't play BOTW, then you won't critique the game as much since it'll feel brand new/fresh Totally depends on the person if they are okay with that, if they really wanna know everything about the story, then play BOTW first, if they don't wanna play the same game twice, then just play totk Just my opinion, would love to hear others
I actually liked Toturial island, but for some reason as soon as I got to the ground I have been struggling to even want to play. I hate the weapons and combat, I have no desire to build a car when there is a horse or glider, I dont find the new arrow fuse method fun or better then just having different arrows. I liked BOTW didnt love never even finished it but I had more fun with that game then this one. Ultra hand has issues it shouldnt be as hard as it is the change the angle of the piece you moving. Who tested this. This game will not age well and in a few weeks after the honeymoon is over youtube will be flooded with videos on why this game sucks, everything they added is busy work, instead of a raft just being there, you now fuse logs together and put the sail on yourself, thats one example but how is that better?
Your review is my basic assumption about the game. But I did enjoy botw a lot. Even with its glaring faults. What we need is a zelda oot and botw hybrid. With bleeding edge graphics.
I feel like the extremely similar map is a huge drawback for me. I know a lot of people played BotW on repeat for six years, but once I discovered everything 5 years ago, I put it down and played other games. This game looks way too similar to BotW for me to be that interested, which kind of sucks bc I’ve been playing Zelda for almost 30 years
@@blastofo love it when people just regurgitate what they see online instead of experiencing it themselves. I’ve played for about 5 hours now and even hyrule looks and feels completely different lmao.
This is how I feel, 100% This will prob be the first Zelda game I don't play. I am just not excited for it whatsoever. It's bonkers. Zelda was always a must-buy no questions asked. I'm so disappointed.
Just to add to feedback, I personally prefer subtitles in this video on short form content (ie yt shorts) other than that…maybe classic subtitles work for your longer videos.
Appreciate the constructive feedback! Yeah I'm used to short form content as well so used the same style Would u say remove the subtitles entirely since yt has captions or make the subtitles longer (like 5-6 words at a time)
Tears of the gamer. This game is just fidling with menus and clunk mechanics which will take up half your time and take you out the game. Countless boring shrines. And shit story. And no proper gear to find that actually has an effect. Crappy framerate and bland graphics. Boring boss battles. Overated crap which the fanboys will eat up.
I can't see myself playing Tears without SBR and TCR. It was the determining factor in my decision to purchase. They should have just left his bomb powers alone. Really sad about it...
Thank you for the review. Hopefully more people will be more critical of this game. Ive clocked in over 50hrs and their are alot of problems. Hyrule is a quarter step forward in terms of difference conpared to botw. The sky islands is my favorite biome but its sooooo miniscule such a shame. They focused too much on the depths. Not only is it not visually appealing it has pretty much all of its enemies can temporarily reduce your health. Like thats not fun. Their are many more problems. Im just afraid that totk will get so much uncritical reviews and critiques like Botw. Totk and botw have huge glaring problems that should be addressed. Especially totk sense its the sequel. Last thing, I can't believe they still havnt fixed the flurry rush timing. Its sooo inconsistent. I shouldn't be able to flurry rush an enemy 50 feet away and just as their winding up to get a parry. Unlike how most games its right before the enemy is about to hit you to get a counter.
I agree, hopefully you agree with my critiques but yes I'm very surprised barely anyone else is being critical of the game tbh All of the critiques of BOTW all apply here as well, cooking sucks, constantly going into menus
@@voidheartgamers i pretty much agree with everything you said. And yes this game is even more menu heavy than ever before. Boy idk if this is a hot take but this really doesn't feel like 6 years worth of development. I think they went through development hell to make sure damn near everything is fusable and attachable(which i would say is impressive) however it's not my job as a customer to take that into account but to judge what we got and i think it's lacking. For me this game is just a better botw and i see no reason for anyone to even buy botw at this point. Especially considering that Nintendo is gonna keep botw at 60 bucks which is wild to me.
I agree, I think it's a "hot take" currently, because everyone is just constantly praising this game I have a feeling that users are going to start criticizing after the initial "wow" factor Definitely feel like they spent the whole development time to make fuse and ultrahand work and also changing the level so ascend doesn't effect everything They were basically forced to add the updates to the map just so gamers don't complain that it's almost exactly the same game with a new story + different abilities The underground feels like they added it so they can say they added it and that it's at least somewhat different The technical aspect is pretty impressive though, making sure it runs on 7 year old hardware with all the abilities/creative stuff you can make, if only Nintendo had a more powerful console 😭
Never to this day could i imagine seeing Zelda fans become the new Fifa fans that with a couple of new game modes each year they are excited and happy to play literally the same game. I'm sorry to break it down to yall but for a 6 year development period this is not enough and it should be consider rather as an expansion of BoTW also ToTK makes BoTW feel redundant because why in the world would i go back to play BoTW if ToTK is the same game but with more features. BoTW now feels like a cheap beta testing version of its final product(ToTK).
So is the story progression as repetitive as Botw? Cause that was one of my main issues with that game, the repetitive divine beasts & the story feeling like it was in the background. Are the dungeons visually different from each other?
Story progression is the same as botw Dungeons are visually different though, they're much better themed and getting to them is the most unique part usually, but once you get to them don't expect them to be much different than divine beasts 2.0
@@voidheartgamers Ahhh okay... Im just a sucker for a strong storyline, so even if it progresses the same, i hope it will capture me more esp with dungeons having better themes!💔 We'll see!
@@supercoolguy4949 The storyline is better tho, and it has more cutscenes and it's more in your face so I think you'll like the story more I truthfully haven't finished the story yet but it seems better most def
@@voidheartgamers Ohhh! Well that's good to hear! Thanks 4 letting us know abt all this 🙏 I really hope the story part of it doesn't disappoint, this makes me look forward to it a bit more. I'm sure I'll def have fun either way!
Will do! Yeah I did it for accessibility + I thought it would help video retention/engagement but seems like it's very distracting so I'll adjust for the next videos Really appreciate the comment!
There is NO REASON to do stupid annoying subtitles like that and claim it's for "accessibility" like you're some white knight. Have you kids (I'm 33 so you're kids to me) ever heard of a little old thing (invented by straight white men many decades ago) called the Closed Captioning System? What the hell is with this generation and virtue signaling to deaf people and handicapped. There is already plenty of building codes and shit like the closed captioning system in place for the unfortunate in society. Why are you people going out of your way to pander? Has anyone else noticed how every single broadcast these days they have some goofball doing sign language next to the speaker or in a small box in the corner. PEOPLE, LISTEN. We already solved this problem years ago. It's called CLOSED CAPTIONING. It's on everything. Move on and find another cause to make you feel important. It wasn't for accessibility, it was to make him feel more important than he is.
How come you don't use fuse ? adding a black moblin horn adds like 15 hit points, and you should have a ton of them.... Not to mention the special items like spiked balls
Yeah I didn't realize you basically HAD to fuse I originally thought, I'll save my materials up to fuse more powerful weapons I'm just a material horder 😭🤣
For the love of god someone please tell me the first 1 minute of this video is not the actual framerate of the game. I will absolutely not put up with that. Especially when you come out of the water and run around are you getting even 10 frames?
If you're on switch, it's not this laggy usually, this was prerelease before the patch But it's max 30fps, and usually pretty solid 30, but has some drops, not as severe as in the video
When Finding a Shrine or Korok (and now Satoris) behind every hill or cave means exploring... then yeah, but I have a different understanding of the word exploring. It mostly defines through unpredictability. And this game is fundamentally predictable.
This is maybe the most tedious game I've played in 10 years. It's unbearably frustrating. And interacting with the characters is so boring. They take forever to say nothing interesting.
I see what you did there: This is emulator gameplay, you notice it when certain attacks cause a hard lag due to shader compilation. Also, this is a lot more crisp than the game on the Switch, a lot less flickering due to low resolution.
I completely agree, i enjoyed BotW quite a lot but so far into TOTK i just feel like im replaying that same game...its a great game, but ive seen it before...
The way you've cutted youre voice (almost overlaid), feels pretty unnatural and so forth unauthentic to me and takes away the immersion of an otherwise very good, interesting, good written and honest video. Thats just my opinion and wish for the future, and should in no ways, like i said earlier, discredit your in my opinion good content in this video. Greetings
Appreciate the constructive criticism I removed all pauses so yeah it sounds unnatural, I'll try being more conversational next time! Really appreciate the feedback and comment
I didn’t enjoy botw that much. It really lacked enemy and boss variety and i hated weapon breaking system. Also i didn’t enjoy shrines and korok seeds so this game is a pass for me i guess. I can’t wait to play the next zelda remake though. I much prefer the tight older Zelda games over these new bloated zelda games.
Appreciate you! And yes, everyone has them, but I'm also respectful to everyone's opinions as well, the way I look at it, if someone disagrees with the negatives, they will enjoy totk that much more so win-win
No disrespect homie but some your bad points sound more loek your lack of creativity in those areas. For instance you said that you haven’t HAD to make many vehicles ..but the point is that you CAN…same with ascend. I have seen many people saying they had to get used to remembering they had these powers but once they made a conscious effort to use them mroe it really made a big difference. Iv seen people randomly making giant death robot roombas to fight world bosses and stuff loek that haha . I will admit rewind sounds pretty pointless outside of very specific circumstances though . But ascend would surely be a lot mroe useful than you give it credit …in a game absolutely full of underground labyrinths and caves and sky islands above etc etc . Not trying to jump on your turf and attack u bro . I appreciate the video and subbed just wanted to throw my 2 cents in fhe ring
I agree 100%, thanks for calling that out! I might not have utilized them to the full extent tbh! I was just trying to make a point that the powers are actually pretty similar to BOTW if you think about it Fuze makes it so you don't have different arrow types, but adds some new arrow types as well. So most is familiar, some is new! Especially adding those effects to weapons and shields is new And the new machines are definitely cool, but yeah I didn't use them as much, I think late game you get more of the robot stuff which I didn't get to, but at least in early-to-mid game you only use them in the first island part and in puzzles. They're not super useful unless you get some major battery upgrades for some serious faster travelling I do stick with my point about ascend though, yes going through caves and underground ascend is super helpful in moving around quickly, it's more of a quality of life upgrade, so it's mainly used in moving around the world and puzzles. There's a height limit for ascend, so it doesn't work all the time. It needs to be relatively close + relatively flat ground above you
@@voidheartgamers ok ok fair enough . I can’t say too much as I haven’t played the game yet personally 😂 it’s too easy to get personally invested in a game your super hyped for but has not actually come out yet 🤷♂️🤷♂️ But I’m sure I’ll be the worse. I’ll end Up near the end of the game and I’ll watch a video of peopep making all sorts of stuff and be absolutely shocked that I couldn’t think to build any of that haha . Building not my strong suit
Haha honestly same, I'll have to watch other people breaking the game using the powers and builds and then be like "omg why didn't I think of that" No doubt, this game is super amazing, I love playing it and low-key haven't stopped thinking about it since playing it! I just wanted to set expectations a little lower so even if people think I'm wrong, then they get to enjoy the game even more than they thought they would 😂
Most of the players DONT want to do all that, is that what you arnt understanding? I dont give a sht about making a ugly N64 looking glob cart to push around on a low graphic field for no reason. i want gameplay/
Dude, not everyone is that creative. The people who made all that wacky and crazy over the top stuff with the mechanics in BOTW and from who the developers took inspiration to add this new mechanics in TOTK (said by themselves) were a 0.01% percent of the player base.Yes, I did enjoy watching the stuff they made in videos because I'm not creative myself, I don't find joy in trying to do that shit and I don't have the time to try it. And that's with most people I guarantee.
Man, I have owned every Zelda that has ever come out and I am just not excited for this. It feels very lazy, like they didn't want to develope a new game and just copy/pasted all the assets to cash in on the name and the fact that people were dying for more Zelda.
So I feel like a hypocrite saying this (I have a close family member who is deaf), but stop with the dialog popping up on screen. It’s not an issue with closed captioning, but the way you edit it to ‘pop’ up is incredibly distracting and makes the video hard to enjoy or watch in general. Hope this comment helps you so that I the future you stop doing this.
As a purely sandbox game if BoTW floats your boat this won't hurt that experience, otherwise it's more of the same. The fact that a certain characters weren't named while having nearly identical interactions only told me they still couldn't land the "nonlinear" story approach. I think I enjoyed the implications of what certain characters/concepts brought to the duology on the whole, but on their own felt underwhelming. If nintendo had offered the experience as a dlc for $30-$35 I wouldn't have regretted getting it, $70 was way too much.
Fair criticism, I was watching other people's advice and they said pauses (unless for dramatic effect) kill video engagement since people click off the video if there isn't something constantly happening/being shown So I eliminated all pauses in my dialogue
I'm gonna change it in next video 😭 talk slower most definitely, I'll still remove pauses though I also want to add a section with just pure gameplay without a voiceover but I'm not sure if people like that
I haven't really delved into Breathe of the wild since I bought it fairly recently in anticipation for Totk. But seeing from reviews, it seems like I won't be missing much by buying it any time soon (after finishing Botw ofc). I'll play and finish breathe of the wild at my pace in the meantime and wait till they drop an updated switch pro with an improved version of Totk or something like that, (hopefully).
To make it a little more clear, I meant it doesn't break the mold **aside from the new abilities and new story** (and updated/bigger map with slight improvements across the board) It's still the BOTW formula, with slight tweaks, so I wanted to set expectations that if someone was expecting something completely different from BOTW then that's not true I'm not saying the formula is bad, I still said this game is a Must Play and I am having a ton of fun playing it, it's just not wildly different (aside from what I mentioned earlier)
I think this is why I said if you haven't played breath of the wild, then you will enjoy this game even more It's a great open world game most definitely, but if you compare it to BOTW, the wow factor is a little lesss
So far, botw was better. It just feels empty and depressing. Copy pasted shit. The whole “weapons are broken now” is so dumb. Every weapon I got so far even with the add ons is just stupid.
I respect your opinion, but it is hard to watch the video with the text constantly flashing on screen.
Thanks for the call-out! I honestly wasn't sure whether to include the text or not
I'll def consider removing for future vids
My old vids without the text didn't perform well LOL
I could agree more, it's fkin annoying AF.
I'm sorry 🙏
@@voidheartgamers all good bud, good video other than that. You live & you learn, keep up the good work 👍
@VoidHeart Gamers I'm deaf so I need the subtitles, maybe a smaller text with a different transition that's not so flashy?
I wonder how many people are playing it right now that are praising it as some non derivative sequel, but it's just to keep from feeling a sense of buyer's remorse for paying 70 bucks for it 🤔
All the reviews that were released today were from people that got a *free* review copy, I would imagine scores from people that buy the game for $70 are going to be lower
I'm actually pretty surprised about everyone's raving perfect 10s
In my opinion, yes breath of the wild changed the formula and the gaming scene forever, this game adds to it and makes improvements, brand new story, updated map, new abilities, but doesn't change the formula, the formula is exactly the same
Not saying it's a bad thing, I loved BOTW, but yes this is just more of that and basically getting to experience it again
I agree, reviewers are out of touch when it comes to anything related to money since they are gifted everything + make a ton off TH-cam
It's a great game to be sure, but yes it's indistinguishable graphically and gameplay wise (aside from new/different abilities), I don't think it deserves a solid 10 because it's not unique/new
Yes the abilities are new, and ultrahand is super cool, but to give a solid 10 for swapping abilities and new story is strange
Yeah I was trying to be as unbiased and fair as possible, I definitely think it's a must play game and a ton of fun, but I also wanted to call out any potential negatives others may see/what I felt
so many want to bash the game ? this game is hyped up by every review to be 10/10 perfect goty
Thank you. This is the only review so far that seems fair. I was afraid when I started reading rumors in various comment sections describing this as, "BOTW...again," and you have kind of confirmed that.
Which may or may not be bad. BUT I will finish "Octopath Traveler 2," first before making a decision.
Appreciate it!! I also need to finish octopath traveler 2 😂, amazing game!
I agree with this review 100%
The sky islands and underground could have used more, at least a town.
Appreciate you, yup I agree 100%
I'm surprised everyone was raving about the "dungeons" and the underground
It's basically divine beasts 2.0, yes they made improvements but it's still effectively the same
@@voidheartgamers exactly, they didn’t feel as lengthy or creative as a classic Zelda game.

Read your entire comment and I agree, the biggest gripe is playing the same game twice
If you look online at the crazy and funny stuff people have made, or the clever ways they've solved puzzles, its hard not to love the game.
Agreed
I'm not creative and having a blast. My friends too. You don't need to be creative to get through most of it
@@blastofo why would we care abt that ? what it matters if i enjoy the game not what others did with the engine

Thank you! Will definitely update the text most definitely in future videos
I agree, this renders BOTW basically redundant
@@voidheartgamers i would disagree because what makes botw different is all of the bugs and glitches that were removed in totk. windbombs, stasis launches and more jusr made botw its own legendary game. but yes, it does mostly make it redundant
@@HazeInutt I definitely miss the windbombs and I felt like stasis broke the game so much in BOTW, it was actually faster to travel in BOTW because of stasis LOL
agree a lot with you, the game its not bad, but it isnt a complete zelda new game, it feels more like a huge dlc, but not a brand new zelda
One of the best things about the franchise is the lack of levels and stats. Thank god. Those things only break immersion and make a game feel more like a grind.

SERIOUSLY
5 Weapons break too DAM FAST.
Make it make sense man
12 An amour that allows Link to run faster in the day and NOT just the night, it's actually pointless why they did it this way.
Maybe the barbarian amour could have a roll. lol
20 The Master Sword could have been done a lot better. They may have done this already but I felt like the base power and durability should increase with the amount of hearts Links collects. Getting all the hearts and stamina would let you unleash the true master swords power not that you would need that to complete the game.
It just looks so… tedious
I miss the old abilities. They were definitely superior. Like the wind dash ability should also be vertical. Revalis gale was the most convenient way to explore.
You coldnt make the different arrow types in BOTW. It was a pain having to go a buy the arrows needed. Now you can just raid a bunch of monster for the arrows and just make them from your inventory. Sure now you have to constantly forage for materials but now you have more insentive to forage.
Yes this is definitely a better use of the materials you collect since now it serves both purposes, agreed 100%
And now it's a pain to go find monsters to create arrows. Breath Of The Wild had realism to it because in a real world, you would need to go find a shop that sells arrows. Now, it's just a gimmick for the sake of being gimmicky.
@@gkgyver actual the map is so saturated with monsters that wont be an issue.
Agreed 100%, I'm surprised so many people are wowed by everything
I agree with both your comments
I wish there was an easier system where I can fuse stuff like even for weapons and shields
I currently have to go in the menu, hold the material, then exit, drop the material, then fuse which is even more annoying than the arrow fuses
You can't upgrade base tunic 0/10
Yeah the graphics aren't the games fault, I'm mainly blaming Nintendo
The developers did an amazing job of making improvements and making the game playable considering the console is 7 years old
your critiques are definitely valid. I feel like I have a much higher appreciation of the game since i didnt play BOTW. Due to that, exploring and everything feels new to me even though ik a lot of it was in the previous game
Appreciate the comment!
Thank you for giving your honest opinion. The incessant ball-fanning was getting a bit absurd.
Appreciate it!!
I had to turn this off because the flashing subtitles at the bottom were way too large, abrupt, and distracting. They also somehow seemed to make the game look choppier. Not trying to be rude, just trying to let you know that the subtitles are to the point that they significantly detract from the video.
Thanks for the constructive criticism, yeah I'm going to remove/redo them next time
@@voidheartgamers I did actually go back and finish the video and it was a great review, btw.
This is the best review ive seen on this game so far its very honest and un biased. I'm enjoying the game but it does feel like a $70 dlc expansion for botw.
Thank you!!!
Why does this always happen with Nintendo? They see in what particular way Gamers are having fun with their game, and say "NAAAH, now we want you to do it our way!"
Nintendo gave us more freedom in this game than any other Zelda game. They basically encouraged gamers to try and break the game.
I responded to comments I think are stupid. There are legit criticisms to be made for this game. Choppy framerate and texture pop in. And the game being too complicated or difficult for some. Or that you spend more time in menus.
Interesting. I’m really excited for this game and at first was worried that not playing BOTW would be problematic, but sounds like it will make my experience better.
I personally believe your experience will be grander by not playing breath of the wild
The only thing youll potentially miss out on are character cameos/reappearances, but the story is still independent. You're exploration experience will be totally new and amazing, like experiencing elden ring for the first time if you've played it
If you play BOTW, it's a great game as well, but then you'll end up comparing the two and say these games are too similar (aside from the new abilities + some changes)
@@6ftmouse349 if they recently play BOTW, and then right afterwards play totk, they will definitely notice that the map hasn't changed much
Yes there are differences, mainly because of the ability changes
But all in all, they will feel like they played the same game twice with the main changes being story + changed abilities
So having a grand exploration in totk which is a bigger and more expansive map is probably more refreshing
But to each their own, I don't think it's wrong to not play BOTW, but I also see the benefit of playing botw especially in terms of knowing the characters more, but just know that the critiques of the game will be greater if you play BOTW
If you don't play BOTW, then you won't critique the game as much since it'll feel brand new/fresh
Totally depends on the person if they are okay with that, if they really wanna know everything about the story, then play BOTW first, if they don't wanna play the same game twice, then just play totk
Just my opinion, would love to hear others
I would play botw first. You can always wait a year or two to play totk afterwards. Botw is a better starting point.
I also liked tutorial island, but yes when you get to the ground, the zonai devices basically disappear so might as well use your horse
This game looks way too similar to BotW for me to be that interested, which kind of sucks bc I’ve been playing Zelda for almost 30 years
Yet people buy new major league sports games even though they're playing in the same stadiums every time.
If only it just looked the same, the map is the least of it's problems, almost every single part of the game is exactly the same as BOTW.
@@everygamersdream72 Except the new enemies, new characters, new shrines, new gameplay mechanics, new quests, new environments. Yep, its identical.
Yeah I'm used to short form content as well so used the same style
Would u say remove the subtitles entirely since yt has captions or make the subtitles longer (like 5-6 words at a time)
It's a reskin of BOTW with verticality added and more puzzles. Tons of the same Armors and items. It's completely overrated.
Good review. Not a Zelda fan myself, and I've yet to Breath of the Wild. But I've enjoyed what I've played of that game in demos.
Play botw and you might be a Zelda fan.
Haven't played Zelda since ocerina of time on Nintendo 64. Needless to say im having a blast.
Slow down son.....get rid of the words on screen.... That said....keep at it.... you'll get it and IMHO find success here in TH-cam if you work hard.
Appreciate the advice! I'll def slow down and remove the words on the screen, hopefully all the hard work will pay off!
Controller drift is gonna be fucking agonizing on those bird lookin gliders
Haha facts
@@voidheartgamers I can’t replace my controllers either because I don’t know how
Tears of the gamer.
This will be the only game I don’t give a million spoilers for myself
I will fucking trial and error my ass to success and I will fucking like it
I can't see myself playing Tears without SBR and TCR.
I agree, hopefully you agree with my critiques but yes I'm very surprised barely anyone else is being critical of the game tbh
All of the critiques of BOTW all apply here as well, cooking sucks, constantly going into menus
I agree, I think it's a "hot take" currently, because everyone is just constantly praising this game
I have a feeling that users are going to start criticizing after the initial "wow" factor
Definitely feel like they spent the whole development time to make fuse and ultrahand work and also changing the level so ascend doesn't effect everything
They were basically forced to add the updates to the map just so gamers don't complain that it's almost exactly the same game with a new story + different abilities
The underground feels like they added it so they can say they added it and that it's at least somewhat different
The technical aspect is pretty impressive though, making sure it runs on 7 year old hardware with all the abilities/creative stuff you can make, if only Nintendo had a more powerful console 😭
Story progression is the same as botw
Dungeons are visually different though, they're much better themed and getting to them is the most unique part usually, but once you get to them don't expect them to be much different than divine beasts 2.0
@@voidheartgamers Ahhh okay... Im just a sucker for a strong storyline, so even if it progresses the same, i hope it will capture me more esp with dungeons having better themes!💔 We'll see!

On TikTok it performs well

Yeah I didn't realize you basically HAD to fuse
I originally thought, I'll save my materials up to fuse more powerful weapons
I'm just a material horder 😭🤣
I started doing it heavily now though
For the love of god someone please tell me the first 1 minute of this video is not the actual framerate of the game. I will absolutely not put up with that. Especially when you come out of the water and run around are you getting even 10 frames?
If you're on switch, it's not this laggy usually, this was prerelease before the patch
But it's max 30fps, and usually pretty solid 30, but has some drops, not as severe as in the video
@@voidheartgamers ty, great upload by the way
In both botw and totk it feels like they shrunk link. I feel half the game is walking in empty areas.
When Finding a Shrine or Korok (and now Satoris) behind every hill or cave means exploring... then yeah, but I have a different understanding of the word exploring. It mostly defines through unpredictability.
And this game is fundamentally predictable.
Great video except the text
Text is fine to have, just put it into sentences and make it smaller
Yeah my bad about the text, I'll fix next time!

This is maybe the most tedious game I've played in 10 years. It's unbearably frustrating. And interacting with the characters is so boring. They take forever to say nothing interesting.
I see what you did there:
This is emulator gameplay, you notice it when certain attacks cause a hard lag due to shader compilation.
Also, this is a lot more crisp than the game on the Switch, a lot less flickering due to low resolution.
🤫🫣😳 Nintendo didn't sponsor me
The performance is much better now, can get better frames and higher resolution now
Definitely a better play now
I still don't understand how people defend the depths and sky islands
I completely agree, i enjoyed BotW quite a lot but so far into TOTK i just feel like im replaying that same game...its a great game, but ive seen it before...
The way you've cutted youre voice (almost overlaid), feels pretty unnatural and so forth unauthentic to me and takes away the immersion of an otherwise very good, interesting, good written and honest video. Thats just my opinion and wish for the future, and should in no ways, like i said earlier, discredit your in my opinion good content in this video.

great review-i appreciate it & i agree completely
Appreciate the comment! Thank you!
I was just trying to make a point that the powers are actually pretty similar to BOTW if you think about it
Fuze makes it so you don't have different arrow types, but adds some new arrow types as well. So most is familiar, some is new! Especially adding those effects to weapons and shields is new
And the new machines are definitely cool, but yeah I didn't use them as much, I think late game you get more of the robot stuff which I didn't get to, but at least in early-to-mid game you only use them in the first island part and in puzzles. They're not super useful unless you get some major battery upgrades for some serious faster travelling
I do stick with my point about ascend though, yes going through caves and underground ascend is super helpful in moving around quickly, it's more of a quality of life upgrade, so it's mainly used in moving around the world and puzzles. There's a height limit for ascend, so it doesn't work all the time. It needs to be relatively close + relatively flat ground above you
@@voidheartgamers ok ok fair enough . I can’t say too much as I haven’t played the game yet personally 😂 it’s too easy to get personally invested in a game your super hyped for but has not actually come out yet 🤷♂️🤷♂️
But I’m sure I’ll be the worse. I’ll end
Up near the end of the game and I’ll watch a video of peopep making all sorts of stuff and be absolutely shocked that I couldn’t think to build any of that haha . Building not my strong suit
Haha honestly same, I'll have to watch other people breaking the game using the powers and builds and then be like "omg why didn't I think of that"
No doubt, this game is super amazing, I love playing it and low-key haven't stopped thinking about it since playing it!
I don’t think we played the same game.
Did you play a better game or a worse game 🤣🤔
Man, I have owned every Zelda that has ever come out and I am just not excited for this. It feels very lazy, like they didn't want to develope a new game and just copy/pasted all the assets to cash in on the name and the fact that people were dying for more Zelda.
If similar to zelda breath of the wild, i am just not interested whatsoever. Didn't like or was impressed by botw.
Congrats on winning most annoying subtitles for a video. Probably the only subtitles to ever cause seizures.
My mom said I wasn't gonna win anything, thank you!
Get rid of those subtitles mate

Ayooooo chillllll 🫣

What’s your reasoning for tightening up the voiceover so much? This video becomes unlistenable after 5 minutes.
Fair criticism, I was watching other people's advice and they said pauses (unless for dramatic effect) kill video engagement since people click off the video if there isn't something constantly happening/being shown
So I eliminated all pauses in my dialogue
@@voidheartgamers oof.
I'm gonna change it in next video 😭 talk slower most definitely, I'll still remove pauses though

But seeing from reviews, it seems like I won't be missing much by buying it any time soon (after finishing Botw ofc). I'll play and finish breathe of the wild at my pace in the meantime and wait till they drop an updated switch pro with an improved version of Totk or something like that, (hopefully).
They probably won’t do that tbh
Updated switch pro is likely going to come after April of next year at the earliest btw, just an fyi, I don't disagree with your plan
Dude, the bouncing text is incredibly distracting
I'm sorry bro
@@voidheartgamers not trying to troll you and I get it if it's for hearing impaired but maybe a different style?
@@genericfutureman9454 yeah I'm gonna make it less jumpy next time , and make the sentences longer so not just one word at a time
Reallllyyyyyy annoying subtitles
My bad 🙏😭
It does break the mold through all the insane gameplay mechanics they have.
To make it a little more clear, I meant it doesn't break the mold **aside from the new abilities and new story** (and updated/bigger map with slight improvements across the board)
It's still the BOTW formula, with slight tweaks, so I wanted to set expectations that if someone was expecting something completely different from BOTW then that's not true
I'm not saying the formula is bad, I still said this game is a Must Play and I am having a ton of fun playing it, it's just not wildly different (aside from what I mentioned earlier)
@@voidheartgamers makes sense. Cant wait to pick it up tomorrow.
@@rob4750 hope you love it!!! It's awesome to play!
Have you never made a video before? What is with the text? I feel like I’m having a seizure. Delete this and redo it. Why subject anyone to this?
I'm sorry bro
Whats with the words slapping me in the face over and over 😅😢
Sorry, wanted to keep you focused 😆
Never let bro rate again 🔥🔥🔥
😂😂😂🫣
This game is 5 years of completed great expansions to the original game slapped on top of a weird shallow copy of the original for 70
you are to harsh, other openworld games are far worse. i like that i can play a good open world game these days
I think this is why I said if you haven't played breath of the wild, then you will enjoy this game even more
It's a great open world game most definitely, but if you compare it to BOTW, the wow factor is a little lesss
@@voidheartgamers a little less is generous, there is pretty much no wow factor if you've played BOTW.
The frame rate is horrendous
This game is incredible u can create tank batle ship to kill enemy make trap et.c et.c
So far, botw was better. It just feels empty and depressing. Copy pasted shit. The whole “weapons are broken now” is so dumb. Every weapon I got so far even with the add ons is just stupid.
