The following examples helped me better understand the video (and the BANg tool). I thought I'd share it with others who might find it helpful: Last Year Month-to-Date example: If the current date is August 9, 2023, "Last Year Month-to-Date" would refer to the period from August 1 to August 9 in the year 2022. Previous Month-to-Date example: if the current date is August 9, 2023, "Previous Month-to-Date" would refer to the period from July 1 to July 9 in the same year.
Sweet! I am exited to try this out. (I've got like, 5 'scorecard' requests in my queue--and I HATE how many different calculations are involved--even using a template I've already created, it still takes forever. I think this is going to have me finished in MINUTES. 😉) Thank you.
So happy to hear that, Michelle! If you have any issue, don't hesitate to reach out. It's still a new product and I'm happy to solve bugs or develop new useful features!
@@ladataviz oh my gosh. THIS WAS FANTASTIC! Thank you so much! I completed, in ONE DAY, what I had budgeted FOUR days for. 👍 I will need to create a few using a fiscal year (July start month)--is there anything special I should do? Again, thanks so much for creating this!
Hey Michelle! Thanks for the nice comment! I'm glad that it helped you. As for the fiscal year, it's a request that I get more and more, so I'll work on something that allows that. Is it correct that the 1st of July 2023 is the first month of your fiscal year 2023-2024? I'd be happy to discuss it more if you'd like to reach out by email!
I need the ability to automatically adjust the KPI granularity (last day/last week/last month) and switch between dynamic and comparison views, making it much simpler for me The idea is great, but there are still some things to improve!

I agree we can always improve it :)
Until then, you can still do all of that once it's exported. You still save a lot of time!
