When a marble hits the locked zone wall it should reduce the timer by a second or so, kinda reminiscent of how it was in old versions! Great video as always thank you!!!!
I think that the cost requirement function is working well! May need to tone down the multiplier for infantry from x20 to x5, but in all fairness when you get a marble with 800+ value it's pretty hard for anything to be "balanced." Could've landed on the Zeppelin or Mega-Tank slot and it still would've led to 100+ units.
I think the issue is how frequently we get such large numbers. The +50 maybe could get toned down to a +25 or +30. The 16,000 infantry from that one marble would've been 8,000 or 9,600. Which... is also a lot, but +50 is still maybe too big. Or I just prefer green over blue, which is also true.
At 10:28 watching that mortar blow a hole in the wave just for them to close ranks has to be one of the most terrifying and demoralizing things you could ever see.
@@ataarono The mortar is kinda . . not that useful in this case? Like sure it throws a lot of small explosive rounds down range, but its quite innacurate, so quite pointless if the enemy manages to reach close range if you dont want to risk your own troops. Also like . . machine guns exist? Human wave tactics can only be useful if you are willing to take massive casualties and if the terrain allows it If the terrain is just flat land, Your attack is just gonna be completely destroyed by machine guns and artillery no matter how many men you throw at it. If the terrain is much more restricting, allowing attacking forces to be behind cover until they are much closer where you could risk hitting your own troops with artillery, then you could overrun the enemy position, still at the cost of massive casualties. Automatic grenade launchers were meant to be used against defences.
What? Any full-auto firearm counters human wave tactics. That's literally why the Western Front in WW1 turned into a trench war in the first place. Because machineguns could shred infantry by the thousands. By the time of the Korean War everyone with access to modern firearms knew that, and tactics had evolved away from human waves entirely. Automatic grenade launchers are for destroying light armour, entrenched enemy positions, and suppressing enemies in cover. They're not for countering human wave tactics, because no-one ever did that after WW1.
I think, genuinely, that the infantry mortars are the single best unit in the game. They're cheap to produce, they can hide in trenches and don't have a huge hitbox to begin with, and the mortar shots are absolutely amazing at clearing everything except air. Even massed tank, when they themselves are massed. To say nothing of infantry swarms. I'm confident that a 50 count mortar spawn could have stopped that human wave.
The main problem I see with mortars is its tendency to all shoot at the same spot. It's most visible around 10:50 or so. Whole waves of mortar fire hitting a single point. If there was a wider random stagger on their hit location so 75% didn't go to waste, they'd have decimated that wave.
Green had 6,200 kills more than Blue did, and nearly 10,000 came after the tsunami. Unfortunately for Green, the tsunami had spawned 16,320 riflemen. They would've had to get very lucky with tanks, zeppelins, and artillery strikes to have any hope at all
I mean, they did have some zeppelins and tanks, and those got destroyed in literal seconds so the only thing that could have saved green is mortars and all forms of artillery
Would be interesting to have a population sort of deal. The longer things go the more expensive it is and harder to get things like massive waves. Or perhaps something such as having groups of units spawn less unless given time to 'retrain' the full amount or vehicles cost going up until more can be made

Unfortunately, the brave Blue Brigade, in their valiant push, faces a harsh reality as they are cut down by the resolute Green Guardians, who remain steadfast in their trenches. At 1:10, amidst the light skirmishes on No Man's Land: 🟢 Green Commander: "Steady and slow, my soldiers. Advance cautiously." Observing this calculated approach by the Green Commander, the Blue Commander seizes an opportunity at 1:25: 🔵 Blue Commander: "Prepare for a two-pronged assault! Divide into waves." The first wave, at the forefront, advances at 1:25: 🔵 Blue Commander: "First wave, draw their fire!" However, as they approach No Man's Land, the lack of cover leaves them exposed: 🟢 Green Commander: "Hold your positions. They've moved too soon." The Blue Force, caught under heavy machine gun fire, faces adversity: 🔵 Blue Commander: "Press on! We must take that trench!" Unfortunately, this bold attack at 1:25 fails to secure the trench as planned. The battle rages on in this gripping showdown. At 1:36, No Man's Land lay barren, the fires of battle momentarily extinguished. The Green Commander, sensing an opportunity amidst the Blue Brigade's weakened defenses, issues the daring command. 🟢 Green Commander: "Advance! Seize this moment!" At 1:40, a desperate counterattack ensues as a small platoon from the Blue Brigade attempts to halt the oncoming Green insurgence. However, their efforts prove insufficient in the face of the determined Green advance. At 1:53, the Blue Commander's advisors, recognizing the dire situation, strongly suggest a retreat to the safety of the trenches. 🔵 Blue Commander's Advisor: "Commander, we must fall back to the trenches!" But at this critical juncture, a lone soldier by the name of Private Blueberry, armed with a heavy machine gun and left behind from the Commander's original two-pronged attack, stands resolute. Private Blueberry, against all odds, bravely holds his ground, thinning the Green army's ranks just enough to stave off their capture. At 2:03, however, Private Blueberry meets his heroic end. Yet, his bravery was not in vain, for his actions deterred the Green forces from taking the trench. Reinforcements arrive just in the nick of time at 2:20, ensuring the insurgence is stopped from claiming the trench. In honor of his extraordinary courage, Private Blueberry is posthumously awarded the Medal of Bravery, a hero who gave his all for the Blue Brigade. **Chapter 2: A Battle of Strategies** At 2:46, the Green Commander issues another daring assault with a large platoon of soldiers, urging them to charge. 🟢 Green Commander: "Forward, my soldiers! Charge!" In response, the Blue Brigade swiftly launches a charge of their own. 🔵 Blue Commander: "For honor and glory, charge!" At 3:00, the two forces meet in a heavy skirmish on No Man's Land. It's a fierce and intense confrontation, but the Green forces prove victorious. However, at 3:05, a signal flare lights up the sky from the Green side, followed by two motor shells that don't seem aimed at soldiers. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Prepare for the worst! Call in reinforcements!" At 3:17, the Green army, undeterred, begins pushing once more from their trenches, determined to gain ground and capture the Blue Brigade's trenches. At 3:21, amidst the ongoing skirmishes and the clash of large platoons of soldiers in No Man's Land, a remarkable turn of events unfolds. 🟢 Green Commander: "Release the Verde Division Stormtroopers!" The Green Commander deploys the special Verde Division Stormtroopers, imported from Mexico. Only 16 of these elite soldiers could be spared, and they make their entrance during the heat of the battle, adding a new dimension to the ongoing conflict. 🇲🇽🌟 At 3:30, the Green Commander unleashes a devastating attack with mortars providing cover, employing the creeping bombardment tactic. The Faraday Troopers lead the assault, rushing toward the front lines. Their superiority in experience keeps them alive long enough for the Green Army to advance their logistics and slowly progress behind. 🟢 Green Commander: "Mortars, commence bombardment! Faraday Troopers, charge!" However, despite their exceptional training, these soldiers are simply outnumbered, as the Blue Brigade can readily replace their ranks. The Green Army faces a manpower shortage. But it's at this critical juncture, at 3:50, when the Blue Commander deploys an artillery piece, spotted at the northern point of their base. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Protect the artillery! Hold the line!" With this in mind, the Green Commander orders a direct assault through the enemy lines to reach the artillery piece, which the Blue Army is protecting at the back lines. However, as the Blue Brigade enlists conscripts at an alarming rate, it proves challenging for the Green forces to penetrate their defenses when their numbers keep replenishing. The battle rages on, with both sides locked in a struggle for supremacy. At 5:04, the Blue Commander issues a large-scale assault, the most significant of the battle thus far. The artillery provides much-needed support and boosts morale. A legion of the Blue Brigade rushes over No Man's Land, heading towards Green territory. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Charge! Give it everything you've got!" However, amidst the overwhelming numbers, one of the Green generals from a motor division, sporting a distinguished hat , devises an ingenious plan. 🎩 🟢 Green General: "Barrage the trench! Slow their advance!" This tactic gives the Green Army enough time to launch a second barrage and, with their own artillery piece, decimate the Blue forces, leaving their artillery vulnerable to destruction. The tide of battle swings once more in this epic struggle for supremacy. At 5:53, a formidable Green army begins its advance, encroaching upon the Blue Brigade's position. The Blue Commander, in the midst of this critical moment, intensifies the conscription efforts to bolster their forces. 🔵 Blue Commander: "We need every able-bodied soldier! Join the ranks!" However, the relentless Green army continues to push forward. Amidst the chaos, the Blue forces manage to crack the Green's Morse code signal, revealing a hidden plan. At 6:04, the shocking revelation emerges-Green is secretly preparing to acquire 22 imported artillery pieces. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Alert! They're bringing in 22 artillery pieces!" The battle's dynamics shift once again as the Blue Brigade grapples with this newfound challenge, a test of strategy and resilience. At 6:11, with the impending threat of the Green artillery bombardment looming large, the Green Commander resorts to even more desperate measures, conscripting soldiers and importing reinforcements from across the region. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Prepare for the onslaught! Call in every available soldier!" At 6:30, the battle still rages on, with the Green Commander issuing aggressive assaults, keeping soldiers at the front line as much as possible. Their relentless attacks target and destroy any of the Blue's artillery pieces to ensure that the other pieces may get into range. 🟢 Green Commander: "Advance, soldiers! Eliminate their artillery!" However, at 6:35, the devastating bombardments commence. Regardless of the number of soldiers the Blue Brigade deploys, the overwhelming Green artillery firepower reduces swaths of Blue soldiers to cinders. 🔵 Blue Commander: "Hold the line! Protect our positions!" At 7:05, the Green forces enter Bombardment Phase 2, where their destroyers are now in range of the battlefield. The battle reaches a critical juncture as the Green artillery continues to dominate the field, pushing the Blue forces to their limits.
At 7:50, the Blue Brigade holds off the Green army, exposing their artillery. A Blue general orders concentrated fire on the Green artillery. 🔵 Blue General: "Destroy their artillery!" This bold move allows the Green forces to push up, but one of their artillery pieces is destroyed at 8:05. 🟢 Green Commander: "Protect our artillery!" As the last Green forces are pushed out of the Blue trench, the battle continues fiercely. It's a brutal slugfest, with both sides needing to dig deep. At 8:20, Green manages to use one of their surviving destroyers to strike down one of Green's larger armies at the northern point of the battlefield. 🟢 Green Commander: "Fire at the north!" At 8:50, Green's troop carriers land, releasing numerous soldiers onto the battlefield. 🟢 Green Commander: "Push forward!" At 9:00, the Green Army advances with their massive foot soldiers. 🟢 Green Commander: "Sweep them aside!" At 9:20, the last batch of Green soldiers forms a formidable force, and the Green Commander orders the attack to continue. 🟢 Green Commander: "Keep advancing!" At 9:30, a counterattack occurs, with the Blue forces rushing to their defensive positions, holding off the Green Army just long enough for the Blue Commander's ace in the hole. At 10:00, reports speak of a phenomenon where they could feel as though the Earth was shaking beneath their feet. Thousands of Blue soldiers emerge from underground. The Blue Commander, in the face of the relentless Blue Wave, issues the Blue Heart Doctrine, enlisting a million new soldiers in days. They wail their war cry as they trample the Green Army. Deep down, the Green Commander knows it's the end.
In the end, the Green Army faced a relentless Blue Wave. Despite their mightiest Zeppelins and tanks, they were overwhelmed. At the end of the war both sides came to peace negotiations in which the green army needed to demilitize a bit give up a few land here and there and pay reparations that it could 100% afford that way there's not going to be any deep-seated grudges and or growing anger that may or may not come back to hunt future generations to come. As an old saying goes, "War is only desired by old men playing marbles." - An old guy

At 3:21, amidst the ongoing skirmishes and the clash of large platoons of soldiers in No Man's Land, a remarkable turn of events unfolds.
🟢 Green Commander: "Release the Verde Division Stormtroopers!"
The Green Commander deploys the special Verde Division Stormtroopers, imported from Mexico. Only 16 of these elite soldiers could be spared, and they make their entrance during the heat of the battle, adding a new dimension to the ongoing conflict. 🇲🇽🌟
At 3:30, the Green Commander unleashes a devastating attack with mortars providing cover, employing the creeping bombardment tactic. The Faraday Troopers lead the assault, rushing toward the front lines. Their superiority in experience keeps them alive long enough for the Green Army to advance their logistics and slowly progress behind.
🟢 Green Commander: "Mortars, commence bombardment! Faraday Troopers, charge!"
However, despite their exceptional training, these soldiers are simply outnumbered, as the Blue Brigade can readily replace their ranks. The Green Army faces a manpower shortage.
But it's at this critical juncture, at 3:50, when the Blue Commander deploys an artillery piece, spotted at the northern point of their base.
🔵 Blue Commander: "Protect the artillery! Hold the line!"
With this in mind, the Green Commander orders a direct assault through the enemy lines to reach the artillery piece, which the Blue Army is protecting at the back lines.
Give it everything you've got!"
However, amidst the overwhelming numbers, one of the Green generals from a motor division, sporting a distinguished hat , devises an ingenious plan.
🎩
🟢 Green General: "Barrage the trench! Slow their advance!"
This tactic gives the Green Army enough time to launch a second barrage and, with their own artillery piece, decimate the Blue forces, leaving their artillery vulnerable to destruction.
Join the ranks!"
However, the relentless Green army continues to push forward.
They're bringing in 22 artillery pieces!"
The battle's dynamics shift once again as the Blue Brigade grapples with this newfound challenge, a test of strategy and resilience.
At 6:11, with the impending threat of the Green artillery bombardment looming large, the Green Commander resorts to even more desperate measures, conscripting soldiers and importing reinforcements from across the region.
🔵 Blue Commander: "Prepare for the onslaught! Call in every available soldier!"
At 6:30, the battle still rages on, with the Green Commander issuing aggressive assaults, keeping soldiers at the front line as much as possible. Their relentless attacks target and destroy any of the Blue's artillery pieces to ensure that the other pieces may get into range.
🟢 Green Commander: "Advance, soldiers! Eliminate their artillery!"
However, at 6:35, the devastating bombardments commence. Regardless of the number of soldiers the Blue Brigade deploys, the overwhelming Green artillery firepower reduces swaths of Blue soldiers to cinders.
🔵 Blue Commander: "Hold the line! Protect our positions!"
At 7:05, the Green forces enter Bombardment Phase 2, where their destroyers are now in range of the battlefield. The battle reaches a critical juncture as the Green artillery continues to dominate the field, pushing the Blue forces to their limits.
At 7:50, the Blue Brigade holds off the Green army, exposing their artillery. A Blue general orders concentrated fire on the Green artillery.
🔵 Blue General: "Destroy their artillery!"
This bold move allows the Green forces to push up, but one of their artillery pieces is destroyed at 8:05.
🟢 Green Commander: "Protect our artillery!"
As the last Green forces are pushed out of the Blue trench, the battle continues fiercely. It's a brutal slugfest, with both sides needing to dig deep.
At 8:20, Green manages to use one of their surviving destroyers to strike down one of Green's larger armies at the northern point of the battlefield.
🟢 Green Commander: "Fire at the north!"
At 8:50, Green's troop carriers land, releasing numerous soldiers onto the battlefield.
🟢 Green Commander: "Push forward!"
At 9:00, the Green Army advances with their massive foot soldiers.
🟢 Green Commander: "Sweep them aside!"
At 9:20, the last batch of Green soldiers forms a formidable force, and the Green Commander orders the attack to continue.
🟢 Green Commander: "Keep advancing!"
At 9:30, a counterattack occurs, with the Blue forces rushing to their defensive positions, holding off the Green Army just long enough for the Blue Commander's ace in the hole.
As an old saying goes, "War is only desired by old men playing marbles."
